Chapter 11 - Family Time

I could feel the warp's siren song whispering in my soul. Ahh my soul now a massive purple and gold behemoth that stretched around my body it's essence could no longer simply be contained although I could retract it into me it gave me a almost 6th sense of all movement within 30 ft of me.

I could sense assassins or creatures manifesting within the warp and my warp abilities could force them still. I could hold their bodies against their will with a mere inflection of my soul strength. I have yet to truly test its limits but I am fairly certain I could fully stop a speeding dreadnought the moment they enter 30ft of my location.

Now this does not make me immortal as many vindicare assassins have pointed out enough near death situations have arrived in this short life of mine to allow me not to make the mistake that I was even close to a god. At least not yet.

I retracted my soul as much as I could, wrapping it tightly around my mortal frame and simply enhanced my body as much as I could, a form of practice in the eyes of the Aeldari and one of the few ways they stand against stronger foes aside from warp lightning.

One of the most splendid uses I saw of this was my first interaction with a thousand son space marine fighting against two Aeldari who used their warp abilities to manipulate both the power of fate and enhance their strengths against him and a legion of cultists.

Quite the gruesome affair after they were all tired out I merely joined in sedated them all and sold quite a few to some high bidders in Commorragh you wouldn't believe the prices space marines can fetch down there. I chuckled at the thought.

We were back in Commorragh soon enough I informed my lessers of their duties and the price of our slaves and where they ought to be sold before making my way to my quarters. Celeste had been an excellent help as of late assisting me in all manner of understanding of the human anatomy.

She undertook mothers training with surprising grace and now acted more like a drukhari than she ever did as a human minus some of those pesky sensibilities and still staunch worship of the decaying emperor of man. I sighed at the thought but brightened up at what I would be enjoying soon.

It had taken a while to woo her the space marine and the two other drukhari women mother ensured that there must be someone aside from the monkeigh priest and the monkeigh space marine I would enjoy. She was right but when she realized I had taken a liking to my potions instructor as well she grew quite livid.

It all ended up fine, nothing like bonding over an entire planet's suffering to get over family squabbles. I would be expected to have many heirs as a scion of my growing house but for now I am at liberty to explore the world. I am still young and reproductive issues run deep in drukhari society much less one as altered as I.

I soon reached my abode and entered to find my 4 wives engaged in squabbling, likely over some mundane matter that would desperately require my attention but for now. "Enough if you wish to bicker, do it amongst yourselves at a later date. In the meantime I've missed you quite dearly." I laughed as Celeste, Karin(Female Space Marine), Viveth and Reynice, an exotic fighter from my mothers colosseum looked up.

As my voice filled the room, all four of them turned toward me, their squabbling abruptly ceasing. Their expressions ranged from annoyance to amusement, but all shared a common thread: anticipation. I could see the glint in their eyes as they shifted their focus from one another to me. The tension in the room, previously charged with their petty disputes, now simmered with something far more engaging.

Celeste was the first to move, stepping forward with that grace she had developed under my tutelage. Her once soft, human features had hardened over time, now showing the signs of a true Drukhari—sharp, calculated, and fiercely loyal, yet still harboring those last remnants of her Imperial faith. The others followed suit, though their movements were less calculated, more impulsive. Karin, ever the proud warrior, stood tall and defiant, her eyes challenging even as she yielded to my command. Viveth, with her lithe frame and penchant for acrobatics, watched me with a mixture of curiosity and longing. Reynice, the exotic warrior with a dancer's body and a killer's instinct, lingered at the back, her gaze inscrutable.

"Come closer," I beckoned, my voice softening as I spoke. "I've been away for too long, and the battlefield has left me yearning for... different pleasures."

They approached as one, a unified front now, their earlier disagreements forgotten. Celeste reached me first, her hands brushing against my arm as she offered a soft smile, her loyalty evident. Karin stood beside her, her body tense with barely restrained power. Viveth moved with the fluidity of a shadow, her eyes never leaving mine, while Reynice, always the enigma, hovered just a step behind, her presence commanding attention without effort.

I smiled at the sight of them. "My dear wives," I said, the words dripping with the sweetness of power and affection. "It has been a long journey, and I've returned with many spoils."

Celeste tilted her head slightly, her curiosity piqued. "Spoils, my lord? Have you brought something... interesting for us?"

I chuckled, appreciating her inquisitive nature. "Perhaps. But all in due time. For now, let's set aside thoughts of conquest and enjoy each other's company."

Viveth leaned in closer, her voice barely a whisper as she spoke. "You always know how to make us forget our troubles, my lord."

Karin, always the one to speak her mind, couldn't help but add, "On this we agree."

Reynice finally spoke, her voice smooth and controlled, "Indeed. Let us make tonight one of harmony."

I nodded, pleased with their responses. "Very well. Tonight, we shall forget the outside world, the battles, and the bloodshed. Tonight, we focus on us."

As they moved closer, the room's atmosphere shifted again, the air thick with anticipation and desire. I felt a sense of satisfaction as I embraced the warmth of their presence, ready to indulge in the pleasures that awaited. The trials of the day faded from my mind, replaced by the thrill of what was to come.

I awoke in an amalgamation of bodies wrapped between the touch of my beloved's I could sense danger even in the sanctity of my own damn room foolish highlords sending assassins after me I tapped my wrist rhythmically and Guards were on their way rushing towards where I sensed the intruders I merely relaxed into the bed using my soul sense to determine where they were heading.

A group of 4 lithe figures were creeping up a room the hallway down they had slid in via a ventilation duct one I knew would end up being an issue but left anyways. They landed on the ground as silent as could be but it didn't matter as dozens of sslyth guards and electro shock bolts flung from the walls accosted them.

Soon they were captured and with a mental command via my "watch" for lack of a better term took them to the interrogation room. I was already dressing myself and took one last look at my loved ones before exiting. They were likely already awake but I figured it's best to allow them time to rest.
