Orion turned to Na-ri, his brow furrowed. "What do you think? Could this be the opportunity we need?"
Na-ri crossed her arms, deep in thought. "It could be. But it could also be a trap. Lucas is always two steps ahead."
Xander nodded. "I don't trust him. But if he's telling the truth, it might be our best shot."
Orion sighed, rubbing his temples. "We'll have to decide soon. If Nikolai is serious, this could be the crack we need to bring Lucas down. But if he's lying, we'll be walking straight into a trap."
Na-ri looked at Xander, her eyes searching his. "What do you think?"
Xander's mind raced as he weighed the possibilities. "I think we keep our guard up and wait for the right moment. Lucas will make a mistake. When he does, we'll be ready."
Na-ri and Orion nodded in agreement, though the weight of the decision hung heavy in the air.
