"Well, that's pretty much what's happened so far," Na-ri said, looking at Xander, who was seemingly in deep thought.
'What should I do? Should I just leave the city?' Xander began to think. He wasn't sure if he wanted to be involved in this mess, but at the same time, he did care for his new friends and didn't want to see them die to Lucas if he could have done something.
"So, what do you plan to do now? Is there anything you need me to do?" Xander finally asked.
"Before I answer that, can you tell me what the death count was when you left the maze?" Na-ri asked Xander, which honestly surprised him.
"There were a little less than 1,500 people left alive," Xander said without lying. He knew the number would hurt Na-ri, but he felt no reason to keep the truth from her. She was a big girl.
"I see…" Na-ri said, a little down.
