The devil howled out in pain once again as Xander's second 'soul rend' hit him, this time across the midsection.
"Come on, Lian Qiang, don't let up with your wind blades," Xander said, knowing the devil was more skilled than him.

Xander went back and forth with the devil, and it was easy to tell that the devil was more skilled at wielding its weapons than Xander was at using his katana. That's why he needed Lian Qiang's help to keep the devil watching his back and sides for wind blades.

The devil screamed out in pain after Xander's fourth 'soul rend' attack hit him.
"You motherf***er, I'll kill you!" the devil roared as it turned away from Xander and chased after Lian Qiang.
Xander didn't know how Lian Qiang's skill compared to the devil, but he didn't like his odds, so he teleported in front of the devil, stopping his charge.
