[Common Abyss Ambusher - F-rank - Entry]
'At least it's an entry F-rank beast,' Xander thought with a sigh as he looked at the grotesque creature.
'I wonder if I can kill this thing,' he mused. While he had struggled and failed to kill the Soulserpent in the large tower on the 7th floor, that was an epic-ranked beast. It even used the element of death, which was not only a strong and rare element but also one of Xander's main forms of attack. So, the Soulserpent effectively halved Xander's attack power, since it, being a being of death, wouldn't be nearly as affected by death-related attacks.
Xander then pulled out his katana and readied himself for the fight ahead. He knew he didn't have to fight; he could easily run by phasing into the Mirage Realm and teleporting out of the beast's soul sense range, but he wanted to test his abilities against a common entry F-rank beast while fighting solo.
