Xander then left and went back to his dorm.
Nate was already there, having finished up with his mentor for the day.
After a little conversation and dinner, Xander went to sleep, tired from his long, stressful day.
The next morning, after breakfast with Nate and the two twins, Xander found himself in his first real class.
In the academy, all students who have just entered get sent to a tower/world knowledge class to help those new to the tower and help natives brush up on what they should already know.
This class only lasts for a week, and then they start what will be their regular schedule, where they will have classes like a normal kid with English, math, etc.
Xander showed up to the class about 5 minutes before it was supposed to start, so he had to choose between the seats available in the small class, and he ended up around the middle left of the classroom.
After 7 minutes, the class finally started.
"Good morning, and welcome to your first class," the teacher said, an older short woman.
"Today, we will start with the trial floors."
She first explained to the class how the trial floors worked.
She only really talked about the first floor, though, since that was where G-ranks would go.
The trial floor was basically one large plane.
Every G-rank, when they first entered the 1st floor, would be sent to the beginning of the plane at the very bottom in the south.
Every person would be randomly teleported somewhere in the south, and they would have to fight, survive, and find their way to the ruins, which were essentially cities and safe zones in the floors.
They were placed in seemingly random spots, with the terrain of the floor constantly being changed every month. There were hundreds of these ruined cities spread throughout the massive plane placed there as safe zones where you could rest or teleport back to the universes.
The entire point of the floor was to get to the farthest north point of the plane that is said to take more than a month to get to even if you full sprinted the entire way without stopping.
Once you get to the farthest northern point, you have to find one of the ruin cities, and there you will be able to initiate your 2nd trial to try and get to F-rank.
The trial is very similar to the trial taken when you are dormant, trying to get to G-rank, only it is a lot harder, takes a lot longer, can be taken with multiple people, and is way more complicated than the first trial in if you pass or fail.
The next thing the teacher talked about was the universes.
There were three different universes in each of the towers. She also said that there were roughly 1000 Tower of Fates in the Celestial Realm, which was the realm they were in, and there were roughly 1000 Tower of Deaths in the Infernal Realm, where the demons and devils were from.
They were currently in the 1st Universe of the tower, which was on the 4th floor.
The 1st Universe allowed dormants, G, F, and E-ranks to live in it, and anything higher wasn't allowed other than divines. They could go wherever they wanted, but this Tower of Fate didn't have divines. It was one of the weaker towers, and the strongest people in this tower were A-ranks, who all lived in the 3rd Universe.
The 1st Universe also only had resources for dormant through E-ranks.
The 2nd Universe allowed dormant through B-ranks to live in it and had much better resources, with them going all the way up to B-rank.
The 3rd Universe allowed every rank to live in it, from dormant to demigod, with divines also being allowed because they could go anywhere. It also had the most and best resources but was also the deadliest because it had beasts and monsters that went all the way up to demigod level, but they didn't have demigods in the tower to deal with them, so it was a dangerous place.
After talking about the tower floors, the teacher moved on to the demons and devils.
They were part of another race of beings and were from the Infernal Realm.
They were very aggressive, but they still had their minds, being just as smart as humans.
They were also on average much stronger and more talented than humans, but it came at the cost of population.
They had a significantly lower birth rate than humans, so their population wasn't nearly as large as the human population.
The humans had been in a timeless war with the demons and devils, with no sign of it stopping anytime soon.
They had even managed to get into the Tower of Fates, and there was even a small population of demons and devils in this tower with a kill on sight order.
One of the last things the teacher said as she started to wrap up the class before lunch was that the tower's time was sped up compared to the outside world, with time in the tower being 5 times faster than the outside.
As the class wrapped up, the teacher gave her closing remarks.
"Tomorrow, we will be learning about our world and the surrounding worlds."
"The locations, cities, danger zones…"
"Which nearby planets are allies, and which planets are controlled by the demons and devils..."
The whole demons and devils being in this tower really shocked Xander, but what shocked him more was that they had control over entire planets, and nearby ones at that.

After 30 minutes went by, Xander had already left class, grabbed a quick lunch, and made his way over to Sung-min's.
As Xander walked into the clearing he found Sung-min going through movements with his katana.
As Xander walked closer, Sung-min finally said, "What's up, kiddo? How'd your first day go? You learn a lot?"
