About two weeks had gone by since Xander had entered the maze, and while they had made plenty of progress toward the exit, they were still a week away at best and weeks away at worst from finally getting out of there.
Xander had long started to consider the maze as a little training arc, with plenty of F-rank beasts to run into.
He would first fight them as long as he could on his own, while Lian Qiang got rid of any G-ranks that decided to interrupt. Then, once it got to the point where he couldn't handle the beast because it started to act crazy, making the battle much more deadly, Lian Qiang would join, and they would take down the beast together, slowly but surely. That, or they would just phase into the mirage realm and run for it.
