"I'm not some damsel in distress, and I don't need some hero to save me… you have your trump cards, and I have mine," Na-ri said over her shoulder as she walked back toward the still-stunned Hana.
Xander reluctantly followed, and before long, he was being hugged by Hana.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you… thank you so much, Xander, for saving my life again," Hana said, with tears of joy occasionally popping out.
Xander felt a little awkward as he stood there rigidly, being hugged. "No problem, Hana, it was really nothing. I knew I wouldn't die."
Hana, seeing that Xander was clearly not liking the hug, let go and backed away a little, but the smile never left her face.
"If you don't mind me asking, how are you alive? I saw your crushed body," Hana said, which got a reaction out of Na-ri, who had just been sitting with her back against the tree, not looking in Xander's direction. She clearly wanted to know the answer as well.
