Chapter 121 - Preparations

It was very cold, we had risen early, to hear the orders of Sir Piran, who was the knight who was the commander, as my friend's letter said, the sad one sent us to the front of the battle, which made me nervous.

We had erected the tents not far from where we would face the Irish, according to what Sir Piran said we were 1200 soldiers defending the crown against eight hundred Irish, but that number was wrong, because we were missing those who would flank us through the forest, I tried to tell Piran about that matter, but he decided not to listen to me, because, supposedly he did not know what he was talking about and even though he was a Sir, I had no experience in a real combat.

So there was only one thing left for me to do, and that was to join my men in my tent, which by the way had several comforts unlike most soldiers.
