Chapter 9 - Chapter 7 Siteseeing and Planning

Isa sat on the sofa in the dimly lit living room, her red-rimmed eyes staring blankly at nothing in particular. She had been crying for a while, letting out emotions she didn't even realize she had bottled up. The silence in the room was finally broken by a familiar voice in her head.

[Host! Are you feeling better now?]

Isa blinked, exhaling a long breath before offering a small, lopsided smile.

"Yeah… I think so. I feel lighter, like I finally let go of something I didn't even know was weighing me down." She stretched her arms above her head before standing up. "I should get some fresh air. It's been so long since I had time for myself. Might as well go for a walk, maybe even do some sightseeing. Hehe~"

[That sounds like a great idea! You can also take this chance to observe the city's situation.]

Isa rolled her shoulders, hearing a satisfying pop! "You're right. But first, I need to get changed." She walked toward her bedroom, stepping inside with newfound energy.

She picked out a pair of black skinny jeans that hugged her legs perfectly and paired them with a white sleeveless top. A smirk tugged at her lips as she glanced at her reflection in the mirror. For some reason, she had the urge to flaunt her curves a little. Her thick thighs and toned figure were definitely worth showing off. To complete the look, she threw on a stylish black leather jacket and slipped into her boots.

"Damn, I really am a walking bombshell," she mused, tilting her head and admiring her appearance. Her skin was naturally smooth and fair, her lips already a soft, rosy red. Makeup wasn't necessary.

She chuckled. "I just hope some idiot doesn't try to hit on me, or I might end up breaking his nose… and maybe a few teeth."

Grabbing her phone, purse, and keys, Isa made her way downstairs. She locked the door before heading to the garage. As she walked, a question popped into her mind. Why don't I feel weird wearing female clothes? Shouldn't it be… strange?

[Your soul has been merging with this body over time,] her system, Phiel, explained. [And after letting out your emotions, you've fully adapted to your new identity. You're no longer just a soul inhabiting a body—you are Isabella Knight.]

Isa smiled at that. "So that's why I feel like a weight was lifted off my chest."

Reaching the garage, she punched in the passcode, the door unlocking with a soft click. She walked over to her motorcycle, running a hand over the sleek design before hopping on. With a twist of the key, the engine roared to life with a satisfying vroom!

Alright, where should I go first? she thought, revving the bike before riding out onto the road. Guess I'll just ride around and see what catches my eye.

She spent the next couple of hours exploring—visiting museums, strolling through parks, and simply taking in the sights of the city. It felt nice, just enjoying life without any burdens or responsibilities weighing her down. Eventually, hunger kicked in, leading her to a cozy little café that caught her interest.

The moment she stepped inside, heads turned. Conversations halted. People couldn't help but stare.

Her tall, toned figure, long jet-black hair, and deep, abyss-like eyes made her an absolute showstopper. Combined with the natural confidence in her stride, she was a sight impossible to ignore.

Ignoring the stares, Isa casually scanned the café for an empty table and sat down. A petite, adorable waitress soon approached her, notebook in hand.

"H-Hello! Welcome to Sweet Haven! May I take your order?"

Isa's lips curled into a teasing smile as she leaned slightly forward. "Hmm~ why don't you suggest something for me?" Her voice was smooth, velvety. "I'm sure a cute girl like you has excellent taste."

The waitress's face instantly turned bright red. Her eyes widened as she stared at Isa in a daze, then, without thinking, she blurted out, "S-So beautiful…"

Isa chuckled, resting her chin on her palm. "Oh~ thank you for the compliment. Huhuhu~ as expected, you really do have good taste." She tilted her head playfully. "What's your name, cutie? I'm Isabella."

The poor waitress nearly dropped her notepad. "I-I'm s-sorry! Um, m-my name is Lily! N-Nice to meet you, Miss Isabella!"

Isa grinned. Too easy. "Nice to meet you too, Lily~ Now, what would you recommend?"

Lily took a deep breath, composing herself. "W-We have black velvet chocolate cake, really good cheesecake, and our cinnamon rolls are a popular choice! If you're looking for a drink, I'd recommend our caramel iced latte with extra cream."

"Hmm, sounds good. I'll have a cinnamon roll, a slice of cheesecake, a sandwich, and the caramel iced latte."

Lily jotted down the order quickly, her hands still trembling slightly. Without another word, she scurried off—probably to escape any further teasing.

Isa smirked, resting against her seat. Adorable.

While waiting for her food, she leaned back in thought. Now that I've sorted out my emotions, it's time to focus on my future plans.

[Host, I suggest making a name for yourself first. You should also start meeting key figures in the MCU, beginning with Tony Stark.]

Isa hummed in agreement. Makes sense. If I establish myself early, I can slowly integrate into the main events. Plus, it'll give me a chance to meet her sooner or later. A mischievous glint flashed in her eyes. And maybe, just maybe, I could get involved with Stark Industries. That would put me right in the center of everything.

Her thoughts were interrupted when a different waitress brought her food. She chuckled. Looks like my teasing was too much for little Lily.

As she enjoyed her meal, she couldn't help but notice a few guys eyeing her like a piece of meat. She rolled her eyes and ignored them, focusing on her food.

Hey, Phiel, should I save Tony from the terrorist attack or let things play out?

[No! Do not interfere. Preventing his capture might create a major butterfly effect, and we don't want that. However, I suggest keeping an eye on him—just in case something goes wrong.]

Isa nodded slightly. Good point. If I save him now, the MCU might not even have an Iron Man.

Finishing her meal, she paid the bill—leaving a generous tip for Lily—before heading back out into the city. As the night rolled in, she found herself at a bar, craving a drink.

Just as she was about to place her order, a slightly drunk young man slammed his card onto the counter beside her.

"Hello, beautiful," he slurred, flashing a cocky smirk. "Let me buy you a drink."

Isa glanced at him, then let out a small chuckle. Why not have a little fun?

"Oh~ why not?" she purred, resting her chin on her hand.

The guy, clearly thinking he had a chance, grinned and tried to introduce himself. Isa, however, ignored him entirely and ordered her drink.

A few minutes later, she was still sipping her cocktail, perfectly composed—while the guy beside her was passed out on the counter.

Isa smirked. Lightweight.

She finished her drink, then picked up his card and used it to pay the bill, leaving an extra tip for the bartender.

With a wink, she placed the card back beside the unconscious fool before walking out of the bar, laughing softly to herself.

"Thanks for the drink~"
