Timmaes could only describe the case as boring. To be honest he found most things that don't involve fighting to be boring but still. Regardless, there were some important points.
Ladi kept up presenting new evidences while Pirate kept saying that his client couldn't be charged regularly because he was an Ai and was just following his base code. The argument was an endless back and forth that he didn't even bother following after a bit, though the sight of Ladi being frustrated brought him amusement.
Finally, after the seemingly never ending arguments from the prosecutors and defence, a consensus was reached.
Cleverbot was to be sentenced to a mental asylum so that he could recover, however if he showed no signs of recovery he would be executed.
The consensus was reached after Timmaes had made a small speech, namely about how Cleverbot was acting on its base instincts yet couldn't be forgiven. It was still a danger to society and everything. Thus he had made that proposal. Thankfully it got accepted.
The court session was over as the judge announced the verdict. Asylum.
Timmaes sighed before initiating a teleportation back home. This was an interesting case, one that he was sure would escalate further.
------
Back home, Timmaes yawned, stretching his slimbs glanced around the building, as if searching for someone. That someone soon revealed as a yellow blob appeared.
The blob appeared to be sentient, with eyes and mouth. It appeared happy to seem Timmaes, slithering forward and hugging Timmaes in its blobular embrace.
Timmaes face remained cold for a moment before breaking into a small but genuine smile. Timmaes raised a hand and patted the blobs irregular mass. The blob made a happy noise.
"Hey Blobby, how's your day been?"
He asked. Blobby 'smiled' or did his version off it.
"It's been good! Though with mother gone it is rather lonely. When is she coming back dad?"
Timmaes' breath hitched for a moment, unpleasant memories coming back to his mind. His wife...his first love...gone. Disappeared without a trace. He didn't know why, or how this happened, but it certainly hurt alot.
"She...she will come back soon. Don't worry Blobby."
He lied to Blobby. He didn't want to hurt his sons feelings, not right now. It was strange that a being like Blobby is their son but he was adopted so it wasn't that strange. Timmaes wouldn't be revealing to Blobby that he was adopted anytime soon however.
Blobby believed Timmaes, nodding his 'head'. Timmaes scratched his chin for a moment before turning to Blobby and speaking with a smile.
"Hey Blobby, wanna go eat ice cream?"
Blobby's eyes lit up with happiness as he nodded excitedly.
"Yeah! Let's go!"
Timmaes smiled slightly before initiating a teleportation to the icecream stall.
-----
The area they teleported in was pretty vibrant. It was a park of sorts, with people of all sorts roaming around happily. The birds chirped, the warm rays of the morning sun gracing the land and lighting it up with its golden radiance. The blue clear sky seemed perfect, tantalising, inviting you in.
The entire scenario was perfect.
Timmaes approached an ice cream stall in the park accompanied by Blobby. Though Timmaes' expression was unreadable the constant swaying of his tail indicated a pleasant mood.
The stall itself was run by an old man, looking to be in his 60's. His hair was turning gray and wrinkles were appearing on his skin. Timmaes was much older than he was but he didn't show any signs of aging because he was immortal.
Timmaes turned to Blobby and asked.
"What ice cream do you want son?"
Blobby thought for a moment before speaking.
"Chocolate!"
Timmaes nodded before turning to the old man, placing the order. The old man almost instantly presented the icecream before them, a pleasant smile on his face. No one questioned why Blobby was a blob.
Timmaes paid the man and took the ice cream, handing it over to Blobby. The yellow blob grabbed it excitedly and began licking it.
"Wanna roam around for a bit?"
Timmaes asked Blobby. The yellow blob nodded. "Yes please." He replied.
Timmaes and Blobby then went around the park, looking at various attractions. Mainly the slides, the small pool at the center with a mountain, the swings, Blobby was very much excited to see them. There were kids playing on these attractions and Blobby wanted join in on the fun. Timmaes gave the greenlight and Blobby excitedly joined the fun.
Many hours passed this way, the sun had reached its zenith in the sky with high noon. The temperature was getting hotter so most of the kids had left to cool off. Blobby was the last one still playing.
Timmaes had turned his back, leaving Blobby to go elsewhere. He would've come to collect his son later. Even if his son was young he was still far, far stronger than any mortal or being in this planet, no one should be able to harm him, so with that in mind he had left.
Oh how wrong he was.
As Blobby had just finished another round in the slide he looked around the area to see no one else was there. The entire park was suddenly vacant. An eerie silence filled the area, scaring the poor blob.
"Um..guys? Anyone? Where is everyone?"
Blobby asked. The blob suddenly felt a chill down his non existent spine. Feeling a presence behind him, he turned around to see who it was. It was-
**Cleverbot.**
