Kazuto drives the jeep forward on the bridge but when they reached the half of the bridge it was broken from the middle.
Sigh, "What the hell is this now. The city is just in front of us."
Kazuto's expression is just telling how angry he was and kurumi also shocked by looking at the bridge and says
"We should report this to hayama and ask what to do"
Kazuto agrees and contacts hayama and after a little talk hayama tells them that there is detour if you took that you have to pass through a city and you will reach at the city in atleast 2 days.
And then kazuto turns the jeep and head to the route that hayama mentioned.
After they took the left turn from the bridge and goes a little further but something is not right with the nature there and also they don't see any monster while heading on this road and while driving they pass by a little lake and kurumi noticed that the water in the lake is frozen.
with a scared and serious voice she says,
"Kazuto did you see that the water in the lake is frozen, I think something is wrong with this place."
Kazuto with wrinkling his eyebrows reply, " yeah something is wrong here we also don't encounter any monster for a while now"
And when they take the right turn of the road the city came in vision and after seeing the city they both shocked. The city appears as a series of jagged, dark shapes against the horizon, with buildings silhouetted against the pale, overcast sky. The outlines of the tallest structures are broken and irregular, hinting at collapse and ruin. Even from afar, the city glistens with a bluish-white hue as sunlight reflects off the ice-covered buildings and streets. The entire landscape seems to shimmer, creating a ghostly, otherworldly glow. Nature appears to be frozen in place, with trees and plants visible as ice-covered shapes. Vines and branches hang stiffly, encased in thick layers of frost. Periodic snow flurries can be seen moving through the city, creating shifting curtains of white that obscure parts of the view. These storms add a dynamic, unpredictable element to the otherwise static scene. The city was fully covered in ice.
But the most terrifying thing is that the snow was only falling on the city not anywhere else.
Kurumi in scared voice says, " kazuto we should take another detour this city seems dangerous"
Kazuto while looking at her replies, "we can't do that because if we took another detour it will take us atleast 5 days to reach the bunker, the cold is also not affecting us and if the situation becomes dangerous we will run away as soon as possible" and kazuto keeps moving the jeep forward.
"This place is really giving me the creeps,"'
Kurumi said, shivering.
As they ventured deeper into the city,
they noticed something strange. Every
monster was encased in ice, frozen mid-motion.
"This is weird" Kurumi murmured, her
breath visible in the frigid air. "What
could have done this?"
Kazuto while looking outside the jeep says "It should be that thing, right"
A massive creature was standing infront far a distance from their jeep. It was covered in white fur, blending seamlessly with the snowy
environment. Its eyes glowed with a
chilling blue light, and frost emanated
from its body. It was a powerful beast,
unlike anything they had ever seen.
"Watch out!" Kazuto yelled, aside as the monster jumping on their jeep. They managed get out of the jeep in time. The ground shook as it landed,
sending shards of ice flying. The
impact destroyed their jeep, leaving
them stranded.
Kazuto quickly checked his wristwatch
database. "lt's not listed. This thing is
new."
Kurumi says while furrowing her brows and taking a gulp of saliva says, "the other monsters we encounter are giving some type of aura that we are able to sense but this one is different until it shows its killing intent i wasn't able to sense it"
Kazuto tightened his jaw while speaking to her, "But this one is far more powerful than the others." Kazuto thinks in his mind "Now think what should we do we have to defeat this guy if we want to move forward but can we deafeat it."
While shaking his head kazuto says,"This is not the time of thinking about that."
Kazuto fired at the creature, but the
bullets barely made a dent in its thick
fur.
"Damn, it's tough!"
Kurumi grabbed her sniper rifle, aiming
for its glowing eyes. She squeezed the
trigger, and the bullet hit its mark,
making the monster roar in pain.
"Nice shot!" Kazuto exclaimed. "Let's
keep it up!"
The battle raged on, intense and
ferocious. The monster, which Kazuto
dubbed the Frostbeast, retaliated with
icy blasts from its mouth, freezing
everything in its path. Kazuto and
Kurumi dodged and weaved, using
their agility to the lethal frost.
But when the frostbeast jumps and lands on the ground it grows the sharp icicle shards coming out of the ground.
Kazuto while firing at the monster thinks "we somehow have to stop it's hoping but my gun is not giving it enough damage."
Kazuto runs infront of the monster trying to distract it and Kurumi managed to land another shot, this time hitting the Frostbeast's leg. It stumbled, giving Kazuto an opening to attack, he climbs the monsters back while holding his survival knife and attack at the monster head with it the monster howled in pain and taking the advantage of the situation kurumi attacks the monster with her rifle the creature howled, its blood staining the pristine snow.
"Stay down, you monster!" Kazuto
yelled, delivering another shot.
The Frostbeast, enraged and wounded,
unleashed a final, desperate attack. It
summoned a storm of ice shards,
bombarding Kazuto and Kurumi. They
took cover behind a frozen car.
"We need to finish this!" Kurumi
shouted over the howling wind. "It's
now or never!"
Kazuto nodded. "II distract it. You go
for the kill."
Kazuto charged at the Frostbeast,
drawing its attention. The creature
focused on him, allowing Kurumi to get
into position. She steadied her aim,
took a deep breath, and fired a precise
shot into its heart.
The Frostbeast let out a final roar
before collapsing, its body shattering
into a million ice fragments. Kazuto
and Kurumi stood victorious but
battered and bruised.
"We did it," Kurumi panted, exhaustion
evident in her voice.
"Yeah, but our jeep..." Kazuto sighed,
looking at the wreckage. "We need to
find shelter."
They limped through the icy streets,
finding a small building that seemed
relatively intact. They set up a
temporary camp, bandaging their
wounds and trying to get some rest.
Just as they started to relax, the door
burst open, and two humanoid figures
stepped in. They were unlike any
monsters Kazuto and Kurumi had
encountered before. They stood tall,
with humanoid features they were looking exactly like normal humans but they have wings on their back and horns on their head both of them looking like a young man. Their eyes glowed with a sinister intelligence.
Kazuto and Kurumi were frozen in fear,
unable to move. The sheer presence of
these creatures was overwhelming.
One of the humanoid monsters who
sneered.
"So humans are still alive."
The second one seems enraged and says, "Did you lowly humans killed experiment 72."
Kazuto and Kurumi could only watch in
horror as the monsters advanced there body's are shivering in fear. The
first monster, with cruel eyes, moved
with lightning speed, delivering a
crushing blow to Kazuto's leg, breaking
it instantly.
Kazuto screamed in agony, collapsing
to the ground.
"Kurumi, run!"
But Kurumi, though terrified, somehow
found the strength to move. She raised
her gun, hands shaking.
"Stay away from him!" she shouted, voice
trembling.
The second monster turned to Kurumi,
amused. "Look at this one, trying to be
brave."
The first monster leaned in, inspecting
Kazuto and Kurumi closely.
"Their bodies... they're synchronizing with the
virus.
The second monster looked surprised.
"Really? How interesting."
The first monster continued, "Especially the girl. Her synchronization rate is 120%.
She's not just synchronized with the
virus; she's also synchronizing with the
Seed."
The other monster's eyes widened.
"The Seed? You mean this lowly mortals have the capacity to synchronise with the seed?, you must be seeing things."
The first one says with serious look, "Then I will show you."
Then in flashing speed he suddenly goes past kurumi and she didn't even realise what happened and then she sees at her left side.
"Huh,... whose blood is this and where...whe..re is my hand?."
In an instant her hand was slashed but in few seconds her hand starts to regenerate not in a speed way but it starting to stop the blood and kurumi fells down unconscious.
By seeing the regeneration ability the second monster shocks and says, "she really is synchronizing with the seed and i guess it's a.....A-Rank seed not a normal one."
Kazuto struggling to stand speaks, "what did you do to her you fucking monsters."
His face flushed with anger, his fists clenched at his sides, and his eyes burned with fury as he spoke to them.
And suddenly kazuto's synchronisation percentage raises 75% to 78% by seeing that the first monster thinks,
"Oho....look at this he increased his synchronisation with the virus without a seed."
with a little chuckle he adds, "he is controlling the virus on his pure emotions Rage this is becoming more and more interesting, if this boy synchronises with a seed then what could happen." He didn't speak this out loud he speaks this in his mind.
The first monster slowly walks towards kazuto and was going punches kazuto, "But this wasn't enough to defeat us." He says this out loud like he want the other monster to here this.
Kurumi gains her consciousness back and sees kazuto fall down on the ground unconscious, she was fully enraged the look on her face was so ferocious.
Slowly kurumi stands up and starts walking towards the monster, "Don't lay a finger on him."
And as she walking towards them her hand started to regenerate fastly and her speed suddenly raised it's not as fast as the first monster but still she is faster. She runs towards the second monster and punches him and sends him flying through the buildings wall.
By seeing that the first monster who is stood near kazuto says, "So she is using the power of seed she still can't control it properly" and he think this in mind, "If she learns how to use it she will be a danger to us but she also could be useful."
Then kurumi turns to the first monster and tries to punch her but the monster was stronger than her and punches her back and she fell unconscious.
The force of the blow was so powerful that the building began to collapse around them.
Then the second monster comes in with a enraged expression, " I will kill that mortal with my own hands."
With a calm look on his face the first monster says, "Well well, don't be so mad about it. And about the girl we are taking her."
The second monster says, "are you for real, I want to kill her hear and now."
With a scary glare the first monster says, "Shut up! , who do you think you are talking to."
With a little face while shivering the second monster says, "sorry Sir Arlan."
"Take the girl, before the building collapses I will follow you in a bit."
"But what about the boy?."
"I will finish him don't worry."
Amidst the chaos, the second monster grabbed Kurumi and fly out of the building.
Kazuto, barely conscious, watched in
horror as the monsters dragged
Kurumi away. His heart ached,
believing he had lost her forever. The
first monster, seeing Kazuto's
synchronization potential, slipped a
Seed into his pocket.
"Grow that rage more and show me your full potential. Hope we will meet again soon human." And he leaves.
The seed started synchronising with kazuto's body.
The building start to collapse. The structure groaned ominously, its steel frame bending and twisting under an invisible weight. Glass windows shattered, sending shards sparkling through the air like deadly snowflakes. Chunks of concrete broke away, crashing to the ground in deafening booms. Dust and debris filled the air, creating a thick, choking cloud that reduced visibility to almost nothing.
