"Lucia?" she called out.
I stood up, trying to exude confidence as I approached her. "That's me."
"Hi, I'm Ms. Rivers," she introduced herself, extending a hand. "I'll be interviewing along with Mr. Caldwell."
I shook her hand, returning her smile. "Nice to meet you."
"Follow me," she said, leading me through a series of glass-walled offices until we reached a large conference room.
Inside, Mr. Caldwell sat at the head of the table.
He was a distinguished-looking man, probably in his late 40s, with salt-and-pepper hair and a calm demeanor.
He stood up as we entered, offering a polite smile.
"Good morning, Lucia," he said, extending his hand. "Please, take a seat."
"Good morning," I replied, shaking his hand before sitting down.
Mr. Caldwell nodded as he sat back in his chair. "Let's get started. We've gone over your resume, and you have quite an impressive background."
