Chapter 1 - chapter 1: Intuition

The oil sizzled in the frying pan as smell of eggs filled the room. It was a Saturday and I was supposed to go out with one of my cousin's, Kim, but she cancelled earlier that morning. We were supposed to go to the cinema to watch "Fast and furious 6" but now I had nothing to do.

In any case, there was no way I was staying home. I did not want to spend the whole Saturday stuck with my aunt. It had been eight years since I moved in with my aunt. She was a good person and I loved her but whenever really got on well. We rarely spoke and the only time I talked to her was when I need her to sign anything for school or if I wanted to go out and some other things.

Sometimes she scared me and I wondered how she and her daughter got on so well, but I guessed that if it was your mother, you had to get along well. My aunt had worked a night shift last night and she was supposed to come back in the afternoon. I really did not want her to find me home because anything could happen and I might end up staying inside the whole day.

I was so annoyed with Kim because she called when I had already woken up. Now it was ten in the morning and I was making myself an egg and hum sandwich. I was about to fry the second egg, because I wanted to stuff myself with food before leaving, when I remembered I had to take out the rubbish. Not wanting any other reason to leave my breakfast, I quickly tied the bag with the rubbish and rushed to the bin. Not looking where I was going in knocked into what felt like a wall and ended up stumbling back into the house. Realising it was actually a person and not a wall, I was about to apologise until I heard the front door closed. I rubbed my eyes in confusion as I tried to gain my balance back.

"Look, I'll do anything if you promise not scream" I heard a deep voice say.

I opened my eyes ready to defend myself and my home from the invader, only to find the most gorgeous eyes I had ever seen in my life, staring back at me. I was completely mesmerised.

"Okay, okay. I don't normally do this, but if it keeps you quite then I'll do anything." He continued seeing as I was not replying.

Wow. I'm I dreaming or is this really cute guy in front of me? He even looks better closer, and closer and-whoa... Realisation hit me as I snapped back into reality, noticing that his face kept getting closer. I quickly shielded my face from whatever intentions he had and stepped back, creating more distance between us.

"Wha...what are you doing? Who are you?" I nervously asked.

"I'm gonna kiss you. I know that's the only way to shut you up." He responded a little agitated.

"Excuse me? Where do you think you are? You think you can just barge into my home and just kiss me like I'm some thing?" I said feeling greatly insulted by his words and attitude. Here I was, thinking you were cute. "You know what? Please get out." It was more of a demand than a request and I could see his face turn pale. The fear in his eyes was unmistakable.

"No please. I'm sorry. Please let me stay here for a bit?" he begged me.

"Why should i?" I asked bitterly.

"Because those people are going to kill me if I go out there"

He must have notice the worry in my eyes because he looked at me intently with those penetrating eyes. Damn it.

"Look, I don't want any trouble" I looked everywhere but his eyes.

"If...If you've done something wrong then you need to face the consequences."

"I didn't do anything. Those people are just crazy." He let out a frustrated sign.

Suddenly I remember how two of my friends chased a local actress. Could he be one? I started feeling sorry for him even though I had no idea about what was going on.

"Alright, just until they leave. I reluctantly said.

A huge smile covered his face and he suddenly pulled me into a great hug. Stunned by the sudden movement, I stood stiff like a statue until he let me go, embarrassed of his action.

"sorry." He murmured.

I looked at him unsure of what to say. I gave him a small nod and told him that I needed to take out the rubbish, which i had accidently dropped. Carefully, I slipped passed the door, making sure no one saw him. I saw a bunch of girls moving all over the place with, determination on their faces. I guessed they were all looking for him. What amazed me was the number of people looking for him. The whole place was filled with girls everywhere. I could hear them asking each other where he was and if anyone had seen him. That got me a little nervous and curious. Who was that boy? I did not know but I intended on finding out as I walked past the suspicious looks that followed me. I avoided all eye contact and safely returned back inside my home, where I found a jumpy boy walking around the living room. I kind of felt sorry for him, so I decided to ask him all I wanted to know later. I did not want to scare him more than he already was.

"Do you want something to eat? I don't know about you but I'm pretty starved" I said trying to destruct him.

I heard him laugh at that and suddenly felt uncomfortable as those brown eyes stared at me.

"Yes, if it's not a bother." He said.

Nodding my head, I rushed to the kitchen as I tried to escape from those piercing eyes. I heard him laugh more though I was not sure of the reason why he was. It made me even more uncomfortable with the thought that I was making myself look stupid. What was wrong with me? Stupid boy. Thank goodness he could not see me well.

"Hope you don't mind egg and ham fried together." I called out remembering that it was what I about to fry before he barged in.

"Yeah. Sure." I heard a mumbled response.

I peeped into the sitting room and saw him focused on a cartoon I was supposed to be watching at that moment if he had not barged in. it was a bit embarrassing for me an almost grown girl to be watching Pokémon and it felt worse with him around. I finished making the sandwich and handed it to him. He stared at it like food for the heavens. It made me feel really bubbly and proud of myself.

"Hot chocolate?" I asked handing him a cup.

"Delicious." He licked his lips.

We ate our food in silence while watching Pokémon. I still felt embarrassed watching it with him there but what could I do? He obviously enjoyed it and so did i. half way through eating my sandwich, I noticed that his plate was completely empty.

"Wow, you sure know how to clean a plate." I chuckled.

"Sorry. We don't really get to eat home-made food much and yours was really amazing." he said with his face down.

Was he feeling embarrassed? Oh how cute! I then remembered the extra sandwich I had planned to sneak pass him to my room so that I eat it later. I wanted to eat it now but did not want to look like a pig.

"There's another one in the kitchen." I regretfully said which he did not seem to notice as he dashed off to the kitchen and appeared holding a sandwich with a large bit through it.

I had to hold in a fit of laughter threating to break loose. The expression on his face was priceless. His eyes were closed and he had a wicked smile on his face as if he was making love to the sandwich.

"So weird." I said almost to myself but he heard me as I saw his eye brows wiggle, making the smile on my face get plastered on.
