Devil braker bone smiles, and slowly takes his dagger out of the demon's belly, after all he enjoys others feeling pain, and agony, this is one of his greatest pleasures, he thinks:
(You were right, this was just a test, what an unusual way for DSO to test them, in the end do whatever you want with this demon, he must be of some use).
Luan comes back to consciousness, but remembers that his host said it last, so he invokes the 4 elements of the magic circle, as soon as he activates it, time stops and a portal opens which then sends the demon to its new destination, Luan's Portal, which they will visit again later, and so the demon seems to have been conjured, and apparently for DSO it was sent to Hell again, soon after the mist that has already dissipated, showing the light of day, yes it is still day, and the cocoons disintegrated, freeing the humans who had been captured, apparently they were the cemetery employees, who don't remember anything that happened, they just fainted out of nowhere, and have no idea what had happened, at this point there are no cameras in the place, but the DSO always checks, all the details that could compromise their safety, after all humans can't find out that they live in a city of demons, and that they can be kidnapped by escaped demons.
Luan takes off his mask and thanks Derick for remembering the PPE masks, otherwise they would have been poisoned by the poison and the gunpowder gas:
"Thanks Derick, I really forgot about the masks, but I could only think of using fire against plants, since the only information we had was about cocoons, so I thought of burning them, but I didn't count on there being humans inside each cocoon, so I changed the plan at the last minute."
"I thought about the masks, because they said they looked poisonous, but Genius Luan can't think of everything, that's why there's ME, the greatest Genius."
Luan starts to laugh, he knows that his cousin has to brag somehow, but that's okay, in over a year he's already used to his way, and he definitely knows that he needs his cousin to support him in his plan, if it's clear, in his revenge plan, but soon he becomes serious again, remembering a great detail:
"No doubt we were tested Derick..."
But soon someone appears and completes his sentence:
"Exactly Luan, you realized it was a test, congratulations on passing."
The two of them look away, it's Collen and Kaiden who are already sitting on their bikes, Luan tries to disguise it and feigns a smile:
"Oh, you're there, I suspected your disappearance, coming from the DSO I didn't expect anything less than a 'test'."
Luan adds:
"You just don't need to use innocent people who have nothing to do with this 'test'..."
Collen, smiling, realizes Luan's irony and retorts:
"Don't worry kids, we checked all the time, and it wasn't dangerous for these "innocent people", but these are DSO's orders so I can't go against them, or it would look like a riot, we don't want to cause a riot now..."
Luan tries to decipher the message, but he can't connect it right now, he's a little annoyed, but he still tries not to show it, he disguises it and smiles saying:
"Well in the end, we're free for today since we passed the test, it's already 11:30 in the morning and we'll be hungry soon."
Collen adds:
"Yes, that's it for today but we need to train the four of us together, unless you've used up a lot of your magic..."
It's true that some of Luan's magic has been used up, along with the visit to the Portal, and the visit to the Southern District, he's not fully recovered, but Luan won't let his guard down. Derick looks at Luan, and knows that he's a little tired, he replies instead:
"Let's leave it until early tomorrow, and that way we'll close the year 2024. "
Luan nods his head and says yes, he feels a little sleepy, Derick knows that Luan needs to take a nap, it will help him regain energy and avoid bigger problems, and it will give his host room to become conscious if Luan is too tired, he will take over his body in case of emergency, so they agree to do the training the next day.
