Ryan's voice cut through the clearing like a knife, startling Jun from her reverie. "Do you have a kink for spying on me?"
Jun's heart leapt into her throat. She had been so engrossed in watching Ryan that she hadn't noticed him approaching.
Panicking, she attempted to stand and bow simultaneously, resulting in a graceless tumble that left her sprawled at Ryan's feet.
"I... I wasn't... I mean, I didn't..." Jun stammered, her face flushing a deep crimson as she scrambled to her knees.
She kept her eyes fixed firmly on the ground, too mortified to meet Ryan's gaze.
Ryan couldn't help but chuckle at the spirit's flustered state.
"You know, for a trained spirit, you're not very stealthy," he said, his tone more amused than angry.
He moved to sit on a nearby log, gesturing for Jun to rise. "Come on, get up. I'm not going to bite."
Jun hesitantly got to her feet, still avoiding eye contact.
