"Hmm, who are you? Ahh, the phantom. Are you one of the new gods? Hahaha, listen to me, oh lost souls! You and I are insignificant bugs! There are no gods! Only GOD! And behold, the heart of the world, your Creator! Progenitor of life! Father and mother! Alpha and Ome—"
Sizzle!
The red giants flew past the man, instantly turning him into sizzling dust that was drawn in by gravity to become fuel for nuclear fusion. Yoriichi then watched as the ball of plasma passed straight through the beating heart and the true owner of the Cthulhu Mythic Path, reducing the being to nothing more than ashes of atoms with no body whatsoever. The ball found itself at the center of the dust from the lump of flesh, and the red giants then expanded into the surrounding area, aiming to enter the next stage of stellar evolution.
However, with insufficient mass to become a supergiant, the remaining hot gases were expelled into space, creating a planetary nebula that would raze the Toussaint province to the ground, leaving behind the core of a dying star—a white dwarf.
Before the nebula gases expanded and turned everything into superheated plasma, vaporizing the buildings and the surrounding area, Yoriichi inhaled the remaining gas from the nebula as well as the heat from the white dwarf, causing it to become a black dwarf composed mainly of carbon, oxygen, and other heavier elements.
Observing the black dwarf gases, which had become solid-like due to electron degeneracy pressure—essentially material that could be held despite its smoke-like properties—Yoriichi took the tiny black marble into his hands. As his fingers began to turn into frozen bites from touching it, he countered the cold with the heat of his Breathing technique. Once he had warmed his fingers, he was finally able to feel the smooth texture of the marble.
Intrigued by the prospect of new materials created not by a collection of solid-state atoms but by non-metal atoms cooled to extremely low temperatures, Yoriichi wanted to further explore their uses, such as crafting a new sword out of them. However, he was distracted when a lump of flesh suddenly emerged from empty space in front of him.
Sighing, knowing that it is not easy to kill someone capable of creating a Convergence Point, Yoriichi looked up at the sky, which was still covered in dark clouds. Peering deep into the Transparent World and seeing atoms from the Ethereal and Cognitive Realms being transported, Yoriichi realized that there was nothing he could do, as it couldn't be killed by normal methods.
Only by destroying the Cthulhu being in all three realms simultaneously can he truly remove this tumor from the world. If he only destroys it in the Physical Realm, it will still spread its madness and be reborn from the other realms. Similar to Herald's computer Sa'angreal, which exists in three spaces at the same time, this entity that turns sentient beings into bizarre monsters also possesses the same properties of a Convergence Point.
Although he very much wants to kill this being and hunt him down, doing so would not benefit him at all since there is still so much Yoriichi wants to accomplish before the other multiverses come together. Because, just as Philipa can move Yggdrasil away from Archimonde's army, this entity can also escape into the infinite expanse of the Ethereal Realm and hide among the twisting clouds of the Cognitive Realm.
Not only that, being a single-minded individual whose thoughts are fixated solely on the enemy will result in his actions being easily predicted, making it easy for him to be toyed with as his next moves are already anticipated. For this reason, rather than focusing his attention on uncovering where the Cthulhu is hiding or locating the Aen Elle world, Yoriichi chooses to focus on preparing the societies for the eventual merging of the four multiverses.
In return, the society will provide him or the people of this world with one or two bright minds who can handle the new physics that will emerge later. This is because they will have a peaceful place to stay and exercise their minds, similar to a butterfly effect where a single act of kindness can alter their predetermined fate, which could otherwise be easily destroyed by the winds of entropy.
Rubbing his chin as his thoughts kept returning to chaos theory, specifically to entropy, Yoriichi turned around and began to seriously contemplate this potential breakthrough. A breakthrough that could help him move beyond his over-reliance on the Breathing Technique, as this simulated butterfly effect is merely a mathematical equation of probability.
A breakthrough that isn't reliant on his edited and evolved body due to the Elder Blood, since chaos theory involves only calculations within his mind. A breakthrough that, no matter how the physics are changing and transforming his body into something normal, can still be used, as this equation is not fixated on the constants that make up the fundamental forces of the universe.
Having the goal of moving beyond his own classical physics, Yoriichi propelled himself toward distant Belhaven. As he pondered the possibility of using this butterfly effect mathematical model to simulate the new physics that might emerge, no matter how strange they might be, Yoriichi suddenly paused mid-air and facepalmed, momentarily forgetting to search for the whereabouts of the duchess's sister.
Turning around and starting to circle around Toussaint once more, Yoriichi recognized the place he had passed earlier as Castle Ravello. Gliding to the ground and finding the area filled with monsters that had been transformed from normal sentient beings, Yoriichi looked up at the dark sky and sighed, knowing that the madness was still present in this province and needed to be quarantined.
Looking around and seeing only individuals who had been transformed into bizarre and unrecognizable forms, Yoriichi let out a breath, realizing that the duchess's sister seemed to be a lost cause. He was about to turn around but paused when he noticed one vampire who still retained his sanity and transformation, as he was currently inside a cage similar to those he had found in Belhaven.
Intrigued by how this vampire was able to retain his sanity despite not having a Selfless State like himself, Yoriichi flew toward the mansion. Upon arriving inside the compound and seeing many monsters of various shapes and forms, such as tentacled beings and pig-like creatures, he then snapped his fingers to excite the molecules around the monsters, reducing them to ashes.
Entering the eerie mansion, which from time to time released a package of electromagnetic waves connected to the clouds and Beauclair Palace, Yoriichi found himself in the basement. There, he saw the dying vampire repeatedly uttering Tesham Mutna over and over while holding a leather-bound book and an empty bottle of decoction.
Opening the cage with a slash of his sword, he read the title of the book aloud:
"Alchemia Oblittera."
Focusing his eyes through the Transparent World, he saw the crumpled page that had just been opened a moment ago. "Tissue Memory Retention by Covinarius. Huh, intriguing. It seems the people of this world already know about neurons and their functions."
