Chapter 2 - The capsule

...

...

...Why am I so cold...?

There was nothing but deep darkness. I couldn't feel anything. I felt so sleepy... Is this what it feels like to die...?

...

...

Suddenly, I felt as though my body was coming back to itself.

"What the..."

The sounds around me were strange, almost human-like.

"King... Waking up..."

What's going on?

Slowly, my eyes began to open, though it took a while for my vision to clear. When it did, I looked around and realized—I was in water. I looked at my hands. They were... small, like a child's. There was something in my mouth, like a ventilator, connected to wires.

"What the hell is going on?!" I screamed in my mind, panic setting in as I looked everywhere.

Suddenly, a sound rumbled through the place, making everything tremble. I looked down and saw the water slowly draining away.

"Shit, wait..."

I couldn't move. The only thing I could do was watch as the water slowly receded. But before it all drained away, the front of the capsule opened, and a hand grabbed me, pulling me out just before the water was completely gone.

...

...

"Huh..."

My eyes slowly opened again, and I realized I was wrapped in a towel. My body was small, like a child's. But what shocked me even more was the sight in front of me—doctors, but not all of them were human. Some were anthropomorphic animals, and others were strange creatures I couldn't even begin to describe.

Then I looked at the person who had saved me from the water, and my eyes widened even more. He was a tall man with a huge black mask resembling a crocodile's face, but mechanical, with a white gagged mouth and glaring empty white eyes. He wore a long black coat with big faux fur on the shoulders.

"What the fuc..." I thought to myself, this guy looked like a final boss.

He started speaking, his voice deep and mechanical, "Make sure to clean this place and give me all the info about her."

The doctors nodded in unison. "Yes, King Zakis!"

My thoughts were interrupted as he began to walk past everyone. I looked behind me and saw the huge capsule I had been in, with massive wires trailing from it and stretching up into the air. As soon as I saw that capsule, I realized...

I had been reborn.
