As per said in chapter 5, some of the author's words which you'll encounter are non dictionary and strictly fictional words.

_Venebrix_ A thick yellowish-brown gas with a pungent, acidic smell. Inhalation of the Venebrix gas causes respiratory distress, leading to coughing, choking, and eventual paralysis. Can induce disorientation, and hallucinations in high concentration.

_Grotwriath_ A twisted subterranean creature that dwells in dark caves, possessing a bulbous pulsing body covered in glowing spots. Long spindly limbs ending in razor sharp claws and a mass of writhing tentacle-like appendages around its mouth. The emitter of Venebrix gas.

Cap Li tilted his head, his smile diabolical "would you like me to show you?"

Gulping, he shook his head vigorously.

"Alright then!" Cap Li clapped his hands in excitement after making the spear dissipate.

"You!" He pointed at DoHyun again "we'll start with you" he said

She gulped, why did he keep singling her out? "I'm Kora DoHyun" she said, "I have the power to summon flame at will"

"Fire?" He asked and she nodded reluctantly.

"Jason heart, lightning summon" said Jason

Then the next, "Wang Chen, invisible shield"

"Mei Huang, you can call me mei mei. I AM DUPLICATE" she said confidently and exerted her aura which took her shape and exact looks. With a smile, her clone waved at everyone else.

It was impressive.

Mei mei smiled and at will, made her clone disappear.

Then the next, "my name is Qian Yun, I have the ability to control water"

The last but not the least, the boy who bravely questioned Cap Li's ability, "I'm Cao Yuan I can copy other people's ability and mana"

Amused, Cap Li walked up to him, his hands akimbo "how can you do that?"

"Through physical contact, although, I can only copy mana that is weaker than mine" he answered truthfully.

"Okay! Without wasting any more time, fire girl!" He pointed at DoHyun. The shock almost made her melt away.

"Captain sir!" she answered

"Make a ball of fire and aim it at Yun" he instructed

"What!?" Yun and DoHyun chorused simultaneously.

He looked at Yun, his face edged with excitement, "I want you to curb her flames with your ability to control water, put it out before it gets to you"

Speechless, she looked at DoHyun. DoHyun stood at a distance from her, her face was serious. Was she really going to throw fire at her?

On DoHyun's part, there was nothing to worry about. One, she was yet to master the art of flames fully and two, water can easily extinguish fire if anything goes wrong.

Seeing as though DoHyun was serious, she too took a stance.

DoHyun and Yun faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare.

DoHyun took a deep breath and exhaled. Maybe it was because she was eager to prove her worth as a coming up warrior because the surge of Aura she felt within wasn't like anything she had experienced before.

She raised her hands, and a burst of flames erupted from her fingertips. The fire shot towards Yun like a blazing arrow, its intensity and heat palpable.

The rest watched in awe, even DoHyun was shocked.

Yun, standing firm, raised her own hands, and a shimmering wall of water materialized before her.

The water's surface rippled and churned, as if sensing the approaching inferno. As the flames drew closer, Yun's eyes flashed with determination, and she gestured with a swift motion.

The water wall surged forward, meeting the fire in mid-air. The two elements clashed in a spectacular display of power, sending steam hissing into the air. The flames danced and spat, trying to penetrate the water's defenses, but Yun's control held strong.

With a gentle wave of her hand, Yun shaped the water into tendrils that wrapped around the fire, smothering its fuel and gradually extinguishing its fury. The hissing steam dissipated, leaving behind a faint scent of dampness and ozone.

As the last of the flames died out, DoHyun lowered her hands, a hint of a tired smile on her face. Yun on the other hand, flexed her wrists, she had never had to face off against someone with fire powers before.

Captain Li nodded, a look of approval on his face, acknowledging the impressive display of their abilities.

Seriously, where were these guys before now? He thought. No one was ready to put themselves in danger before now, he couldn't believe they were people with such abilities but they've been hiding.

Offering wishes as a reward has to be the smartest thing the Emperor has every thought of.

He looked at DoHyun, "fire girl, you seem to be a bit distracted, if you ask me, Yun took out your flames pretty easily. You can do better, you know?"

His criticism hung in the air. DoHyun held her arm while looking downwards.

"You could at least encourage her instead of criticizing", Cap Li turned to the owner of the voice, it was Jason.

He sneered at him, "this isn't a children's camp, where you get praised for every little rubbish you do. I'm training warriors here, I'll criticize however I want, I'll even crush your self confidence ifi feel like it" he smiled.

"Fire girl" he looked at DoHyun, "do you think you can make your flame bigger?" He asked

It would need a whole lot of Aura but..."I can try Cap Li" she answered

He crossed his arms around his chest, "again" he told them.

DoHyun and Yun assumed their positions again, their eyes locking in a fierce stare.

DoHyun outstretched both her hands. With deep focus and concentration, she tried to push her Aura forward. There was a flicker of fire before her but it wasn't enough.

She bit her lower lip, trying hard to concentrate and stop getting distracted by her thoughts but it wasn't working.

"Hey" she heard the voice of the captain, "it isn't every energy that is influenced by pure and harmonious thoughts, some are fueled by intense emotions. If there's anything you can think of that just makes you wanna scream, do it, if it's strong enough, your Aura will absorb and take its shape. Can you do that?"

She didn't answer. Myriad thoughts flooded her brain, memories of both the past and the present intertwined, but only one kept playing on repeat.

A sudden rush, like a tidal wave, filled her body as her mind wandered to the last time she laid eyes on her family.
