How they were ordered to be burnt alive before her by the Empress. She would never forget their desperate faces as they tried to reach out to her that day.
DoHyun's crimson red eyes shimmered, the Aura that surrounded her body picked up the hate she felt inside.
It was as if her body had become a furnace, radiating a hot sensation from the core. Her skin flushed, her pulse racing with an inner fire that threatened to consume her.
Her hands suddenly ignited with a blaze of fire, startling everyone. The dancing flame burned brighter and hotter than before.
Captain Li watched, his lips curled into a smile.
Yun, opposite her, could feel the faint warmth coming from DoHyun's flames. She quickly summoned a massive wave of water, its surface churning with an unimaginable energy.
With a forcible push, DoHyun's mass of flame flew forward.
The two elements collided in a spectacular explosion of steam and spray, DoHyun's fire raged on, fueled by her detestation, while Yun's water surged forward, driven by her unyielding will.
The smell of smoke and the sound of crackling flames, punctuated by the crashing of waves filled the air.
This time, their powers seemed to have grown stronger. DoHyun's flames danced with increased intensity, threatening to consume everything in its path. Yun's water, however, rose to the challenge, forming a massive whirlpool that sucked in the fire.
However, the hotness of the flames were unending, Yun could feel the water being vaporized before her eyes.
Cap Li watched, his eyes narrowed in awe, as the two girls clashed in a spectacular display of fire and water. Their powers seemed to be growing stronger by the minute, especially DoHyun's.
In their clash moment, Yun took several steps back, DoHyun's force was overwhelming and kept pushing her.
The volume of the water had reduced to a fault and Yun was struggling trying to keep her stance. Cap Li noticed this and decided to call it off, whatever DoHyun was centering her mind on was way too intense.
"Kora that's enough" he told her but her mind was way off, instead of stopping, she started moving forward.
The closer she came, the more the water turned to steam.
"Kora!" Jason yelled out, why wouldn't she stop?
Without an ounce of panic, captain Li looked at Chen. He immediately understood what he was supposed to do.
He hurried over behind Yun and basked them both in his force field. The fire hit forcibly on the shield after tearing through the water and it slightly cracked.
The acrid smell of smoke filled the area afterwards. The smoke cleared off, as well as the amber fragments, DoHyun's eyes widened in shock
Cowering inside of a small glass like dome was Chen and Yun, they looked at her, unsure of whether or not to come out.
DoHyun looked at her hands, her eyes inflicted. She almost hurt someone, she had never felt her power that way before...it frightened her.
Chen removed the shield and they both came out. Yun hissed in pain, both her palms were beet red.
Seeing this, DoHyun sulked "I'm sorry miss Qian" she said, "I..I didn't know what happened"
Yun was just about telling her that it was nothing but Cap Li beat her to it "you did well fire girl" he nodded
DoHyun looked at him, how could he say that?
Yun healed her hands using her powers, then she walked up to DoHyun with a small smile.
Both of them sat aside and Cap Li called upon Jason and Chen.
....
"Say kid, you're not scared of blood are you?" Kun took a fighting stance, facing off Eiden.
They both held a sword, preparing to spar as instructed by Ren.
Eiden didn't respond, he didn't understand what Kun was doing here, he clearly was able to make thorns so why was he here?
Never mind that, now he has to fight him. Eiden without any fighting experience and Kun who was packed with scars, the winner was sure already.
Kuns' large body emitted a sense of intimidation but Eiden didn't let that belittle him. He would just do the same he did with the guard back at the night bloom garden.
Making up his mind to charge at Kun, his system beeped
[Special Quest: Take down opponent with one strike__5coins, earn Experience points!]
One strike? Eiden pondered, he glanced back at Kun, his bulging muscles and tall build, how was he supposed to take him down with just one strike?
He weighed the possibilities, people with big builds sometimes lacked speed, maybe it could be the same with Kun.
Eiden checked his stats,
[Strength_30]
[Stamina_30]
[Agility_30]
[Level 2]
[HP_20/20]
[XP_???]
No doubt, if he's to pass this quest, he would level up but his stats were low, will these be enough to land one defeating strike?
"What's the problem kid?" Kun asked, "You want me to come at you first?" He chuckled, "I suggest you attack now and show the others what you can do cause I attack first then you won't get a chance"
His voice resonated within Eiden, he sure was confident in himself. Eiden had to remind himself, his blood was his weakness.
He couldn't just attack blindly, if he's to land a defeating blow then he needs to think fast.
The system beeped again, coming to life before him

Huh? Eiden stared at it, was that possible? "Yes" he murmured
His system picked up his response,
[__Maintain a 1.5-5 feet distance between player and opponent__]
Oh great, now he has to attack first in order to be in a close range with Kun.
Eiden's grip on his hilt tightened. As if sensing that Eiden was about to charge at him, a smirk appeared on Kun's face...'finally' he thought inwardly.
His heart was pounding hard against his chest, he charged towards him, his eyes fiercely intent.
He swung his sword against him with an overwhelming force but Kun blocked it. Their swords clashed, accompanied by a clank sound.
Kun noticed immediately that Eiden wasn't just some kid, the way he swung his sword and his stance plus the fact that they were facing head on proved that he wasn't ordinary....he clearly wasn't an amateur who just picked up a sword for the first time.
His system appeared again,

Grabbing the opportunity, Eiden grunted "yes".
