"Follow… me!" Puggy said as his figure blurred going somewhere in the dark corridor.
But just after a second, Puggy arrived in front of Ivar and questioned, his dog-like head tiling, "Why not follow me? Follow Lord Vector's order!"
"Sorry. But I am only at the circulation stage." Ivar scratched the back of his head as he explained.
"Ohhh… You should have told. I will take you then." Puggy carried Ivar like a log and started running, slowly this time to not harm Ivar.
He kept running on the dark corridor until he reached an open tunnel to the side that had stairs leading below! Puggy and Ivar encountered the stairs three more times in similar corridors.
Ivar was surprised at how confident and accurate Puggy was at choosing stairs in the dark corridor! Was this person really a thousand years old? If so then how old was the first elder, or lord vector as Puggy called him?
Ivar shuddered at the thought of such old monsters existing! There wasn't just one of them there were probably more than a dozen of them!
Puggy finally stopped in front of a metal door that had the words "Lab #45" carved into it. He put down Ivar and pushed the metal door, revealing the light coming from inside the door.
Creakkk–
The metal door made a sharp noise, surprising Ivar. The door was heavier than he expected! He wasn't sure if he could even push it.
"Follow," Puggy said.
Ivar nodded and followed the dog-human inside the passage illuminated by bright yellow lamps.
Puggy first closed the heavy metal door, which once again made a sharp noise. He kept walking for a few seconds until he stood in front of a lighter-looking metal door.
"Wait here. Master… will come soon." Ivar looked at Puggy, who had drops of saliva dripping from his face because of the flaps of his skin.
"Okay." Ivar cautiously opened the metal door. He was surprised at how heavy it was! He could barely pull open the door.
But what was more surprising were the 'people' standing beside the door inside. They looked as if their skin had been mangled in a large pestle and mortar, then roughly put together over their sturdy, muscular bodies.
They didn't have any hair all over their body and the only cloth they had was ragged shorts to cover their genitals. Ivar looked at their eyes, only for his body to shudder at their lifelessness.
"Who told you two to stand here?! Stand guard in front of the front lab door." The beings complied with Puggy's orders and walked towards the heavy metal door to stand guard. Ivar was surprised at how normally Puggy could talk.
Ivar looked at their veiny muscular back for the last time before he walked in. Will the man turn him into something like this?
Ivar walked inside to find an even more horrifying sight. There were multiple big and small tubes filled with liquid storing body parts of what looked like to be giant frog-like beings. There was even a fully conserved body!
The being had skin like a frog, webbed feet, and hands. His legs looked as capable of jumping as that of a frog! The same was the case with his face!
Not only that, there were two giant white tables with chains on their four corners at the side of the room.
Sweat dripped down Ivar's forehead as he retreated back at seeing the sight. He hit Puggy as he was walking his steps back. He found that Puggy was blocking the door!
'I don't think I will survive this.' Ivar looked at Puggy's angry face.
"Do you… want to escape?" Ivar froze at the question. There was only one correct answer.
"No… I was just shocked at the sight." Ivar lied. Of course, he had seen the loyalty of the dog-human to the first elder. If he had even hinted that he was going to run, then he at best would have been killed and at worst would have been experimented on and then hopefully killed.
Puggy smiled slightly, making him look oddly cute. "Don't worry… You will get used to. Sit on the white table."
Ivar nodded as he walked towards the white table until he saw a normal wooden table with a lot of paper in it.
Ivar sat on the white table as Puggy intensely stared at him. Ivar on the other hand, kept staring at the wooden table with papers.
"You Curious? That is master's research." Puggy, sensing Ivar's curiosity, informed him.
"Oh thank you." Silence ensued in the room as Ivar kept staring towards Puggy, who was standing still. They both had no topic to talk about!
***
Ivar finally broke the silence as he asked cautiously, "Hey, mister Puggy?-"
"Just call me Puggy."
"Ok. So Puggy, What were those two standing in the room when we arrived?"
"Those two? Lord Vector… gave them no name. But… unofficially we call them… Scraps." Puggy replied to Ivar's question.
"We? You mean there are other people here?" Ivar quickly caught on as he enquired appearing mildly curious in front of Puggy.
"Dog men like me… Lord Vector created us… accepted us." Puggy's face suddenly turned grim as he started talking.
"You don't need to say it if you feel uncomfortable." Ivar comforted Puggy, seeing the other person sad.
"No need… If you survive, you will get to meet my kin." Puggy replied, smiling.
'Survive huh?' Ivar got nervous and looked at the wooden table again.
"Hey Puggy! Can I look at the papers on the table?" Ivar asked Puggy, hoping to get a glimpse at what was going to be done to him.
"Sure… Master allows it… to people like you." After getting Puggy's approval, Ivar slowly walked towards the wooden table looking at the pictures and scribbles in the paper.
Ivar's eyes widened as he looked at the detailed anatomy of the frog man. A bundle of paper had everything about their anatomy from their bones to their skins.
There was another bundle about the Human anatomy, Ivar had seen that in the impersonation class. However, the bundle in the table had more information than the one provided in the impersonation class. He curiously looked at the writings in the paper, reading the facts he never even knew.
Ivar put his thoughts aside for now and checked the third bundle of paper.
He was horrified by what he saw!
