Chapter 21 - Hero party legends: The BBB castle

So it was like this: The hero party, whose members are:

Dummy hulk size barbarian, that is party main tank and main to-go solution for every battle. Its nearly ridiculous of how much beating and enchanting his body can take and still going, that one can think that he is a legendary ancient godlike warrior who forget and just live for fight and adventure.

Bard, who are seasonal laddies-man for dear-folks people and its pre-hired by them for rest of his life. Once, while visiting the forest, he make-out with the priestess, so they wanted to throw him onto mimic farm as food. But priestess bribe him out, paying for his future services.

Dear-folk suspicious priest, a diplomat in services of forest goddess. It not just keep eye on bard but have a secret sacred mission. Because big Sissy FaFa is not just forest career, but prankster too, its a mystery what the priest will do.

At last the mischief wizard who love party trick spells. Causing conflicts and letting others fight the fights while watching from behind tavern table.

They finally reached the local Big Bad Buddy, inside the dark castle. The heavy double door opens with a loud crank and they entered the throne room, walking on the red carpet standing in front of the throne.

The dark lord boss siting on the throne have on his side Dark-Warlock and Succubus. Party notice that on both sides of the throne room a large army of skeletons, step out of the shadow. They are lead by a death knight as they captain. Big bad buddy rise from its throne and make a theatrical jump onto middle of the room, right in front of the party. It roared at them from close to intimidate them, ready to deliver its opening evil speech: (That even if they went through all the trouble, through all opponents, all way up here, to defeat him, they have no chance to win and only death awaits them. They fallen to theyr trap.)

But the dear-folk priestess step forward with "I got this." He rise up his palm…

A daddy slap occurred in the hall that interrupt the evil speech. Everybody around got this (Oh no!) gasp.

Normal slap shall do nothing to dark lord, but this priest mastered the martial art of slapping and obtained the "Slaptacilus", a power wielded by FaFa, the goddess of nature and caretaker of forest. (Also a prankster with big sis vibe.) It doesn't matter how big or strong you are, this move will shake you in core, hit you soul and mind, and its more like a contest of will-power that muscle-power.

Same for now, the boss got slapped (so hard?), that its head turn 90 degree to side, making this spiting out expression, with pulled out eyes. One can thing, that a little more and that slap shall break the neck of the dark boss. That baddie stop all his performance. In shock he make a few weak step back, until it tripe, fall on but and tears of confusion went into his eyes.

Dark-Warlock and Succubus, went down to bb-buddy and tried to confront him from not falling into a crying.

This shocking turn-over was the ideal moment for the party to strike out, but at this point Cleric, as diplomatic representative, suggest that the campaign objective was accomplished. "As it seems, our job here is done. We hope that this initiative will prevent further escalation of hostility between establishments of Dark Castle and Lord manor. And if possible, it will led to a peaceful dialogues, and maybe to trade agreement between both sides. But, if you don't take our warning seriously,-- there will be reckoning." Cleric make a gesture that as ambassador, the spooking is done, making sure that the general audience of hostile party will get that.

As cleric turn its back to bad trio, the hero party without an uttered word collectively decide to leave the throne room, backing to the doors. Bard playing an epic hero theme warning the opponent from engaging. While wizard making this sick show cool effect, boosting they pressure of presence, as if it was battle of wits. Cleric without looking back or reacting, keeps its walking speed stable, (Like a boss who owning the situation.), practically leading the withdraw. One by one, they passing the doorstep. Wizard making this (We will watching you!) gesture. And as final move, barbarian closing the heavy double door showing its muscles like it was a body-builders parade.

The heavy double door was closed with a heavy slam.

A one second latter: the hero-party standing outside the throne hall, exchange quick silent glance. In next second they start running through the corridor, quietly and fastest as was possible. They, are on an escape run.

A moment later the heavy door, loudly slams open. An entire castle regiment of angry skeletons dash out, leaded by a death knight. With drawn weapons, they scream they battle cry. They were in a hot pursuit after a hero party, who dishonored they boss and had an early start. The race was on.

Skeletons were firing arrows, and the party was throwing back spells, setting obstacle and traps. But… there was, just too much skeletons, and the death knight was tough opponent to shot down from distance.

From first moment the hero party, saw the inhabitants of the dark throne room, they knew that they picked a wrong fight.

So, after the party on they run, pass through the blow up castle wooden gate, they reached the stone bridge above water ditch that surrounding the dark castle. But they were out of time as the pursuers will catch on them if they just continue to run the road. The party decided to jump out from the bridge onto the water pit. On first glance it was a water ditch, and there is no way out of it. But they argue that because it was a called water ditch and not swamp, tar or cesspool, there must be a stable water flow. Because it had a current and the water look fresh, then this lake must have inflow and outflow that regulate the water level. So, there must be a hidden cave with a subterranean river that was used to naturally regulate the water level in this lake. And as expected it must be hidden behind some wines and bush vegetation.

So, as the party jumped from the bridge: Barbarian grabbed the fallen off wooden castle gate door. Wizard used the spell to bend that wood to its will, to create a boat for them. Cleric wave back after the pursuers: "Until we meet next time! Behave!" persuade them to ditch the case. And Bard, activate his perks to find for them a hidden wet hole.

Except the skeletons are simple minded monster and they continued to rush through the bridge, searching for the party.

Then… As the party managed to escape through the hidden water rive cave, a small pixy-fairy rise from a corner of pocket. This little fellow was a spirit of contract, summoned by a commission contract parchment or scroll hidden inside clothing. Fairy sat on something, cross its legs and start lecturing the party with unsatisfied face expression. "Let see… You job, was to rid out the land of the Big Bad Buddy and its minions. Now, its army of unread, marching at Lord manor, ready to raze any settlement in its way. What will you say to that?"

The party was silent, but the dummy barbarian answered for them: "Upsie~e…"

And so, the hero-party, emphasized that after they escaped the clever trap laid by B.B.B., (that aimed to eliminate the last obstacle for dark forces, the party itself.), they shall rush to the Lord manor, to save the day once again. Especially to prepare the escape, to fight another day, by the name of Slaptacilus.
