Elena's POV
I staggered, clutching my abdomen as searing pain pulsed through me, blood soaking my clothes. Each step was agony, yet I pushed forward, desperation driving me to flee. But as I stumbled, collapsing to the ground with a snickering thud, the pain erupted into an unbearable scream.
The voice pierced through the haze of agony, a woman's voice, laced with a chilling mix of concern and malice. "Darling, are you hurt?" her words were almost mocking as she drew closer, her figure obscured by the crimson veil of my own blood. With a sudden jolt, she gripped me, her touch both firm and icy, her words dripping with twisted affection.
"I warned you not to delve deeper. But you, my dear, you're quite disobedient baby." A cruel smile danced on her lips, betraying the darkness within her.
Her next word cut through the air, devoid of remorse or hesitation
"You know that I have fondness for you, but now, I must bid you farewell" And with that, she sank her teeth into my neck, sending waves of excruciating pain coursing through me.
I screamed, the anguish echoing in the darkness as the world spun around me, my senses overwhelmed by the brutality of her attack.
As a searing pain began to subside, she withdrew from my neck, her touch tracing a path from my throat to my face. Drawing close, her lips brushed against mine in a fleeting kiss before she nibbled gently at my ear. Her words are like sharps as a knife, whispered into the void between us.
"Until we meet again in a decade, perhaps." she murmured, her breath hot against my skin "By then, maybe you'll be obedient as I desire you to be"
With a smirked tinged malice she continued "My affection for you will endure, undying"
Then, the darkness hugged me swallowing me whole.
In the barren of unconsciousness, a question that I always into my mind lingered, haunting my thoughts like a hunter in the night: Did Ava truly love me, or was her affection merely a facade. A twisted illusion born of her own desire?
to be continue.
