Chapter 101: Gwen Kills The Quartet!
----
\[Wanda: The Sanctum Sanctorum in New York was attacked. I'm here now. Do you want to come, Lorien?\]
When Lorien took a closer look, he realized that the original meaning wasn't literal.
When you're talking to a woman, what you see isn't necessarily what she wants to express.
If she says she can drink ice water, it means she's not on her period.
If she says she doesn't have to go home at night, brought a charger, and has her ID because the dorm is closed, it means she's ready for a long night.
If she mentions something broke at home and asks you to fix it, regardless of what's broken, you should assume it's something like a clogged drain.
So, what Wanda meant was that the attack wasn't the real issue—the key was that they could meet!
Understanding this, Lorien replied to her.
\[Lorien: Shhh, close your eyes.\]
Seeing this message, Wanda, near the Sanctum Sanctorum, closed her eyes.
Meanwhile, in the Northern Building, before snapping his fingers, Lorien told Hela to go home and continue playing games by herself, giving her a phone to message him if anything happened.
Then, he snapped his fingers.
Snap~
In the next moment, Lorien silently appeared at Wanda's right side. He reached out and tapped her left shoulder.
"Who?!"
Wanda was startled and immediately looked to the left.
"Hmm~" Lorien made a nasal sound.
Wanda quickly turned back.
"Lorien~~~!"
As soon as Wanda saw Lorien, she dragged out his name excitedly, then hugged him tightly!
The force of her impact almost made the multiverse level Lorien stumble a few steps back.
Lorien hugged Wanda in return, stroking her hair as he asked, "How can you dribble someone, Wanda?"
In response, Wanda playfully patted Lorien on the back.
"You're awful."
"You just realized?" Lorien chuckled softly, patting Wanda's head.
"Now, what's happening here?"
When the conversation turned serious, Wanda stepped back from Lorien's embrace and explained, "I'm not sure exactly, but I heard that a renegade magician attacked the Sanctum Sanctorum. It looks like they're trying to steal or destroy something. A lot of people came through the portal, so I followed to check it out."
Hearing this, Lorien knew what was happening—Kaecilius was attacking the Sanctum. His goal was to summon Dormammu of the Dark Dimension, hoping to gain the right to eternal life.
Ridiculous.
"Boom~~~!"
Just as the words left his mouth, the sound of an explosion echoed from outside the Sanctum. Immediately afterward, a group of magicians rushed in, speaking hurriedly among themselves.
Certainly, the golden light whips and hand blades would look impressive to normal people. But to Lorien, it was just child's play—a bunch of kids gathered to fight.
Soon, the battle outside intensified. Wanda, a bit worried, asked, "Should I help them?"
Well, Wanda felt she came here to learn magic, so she should be helping to protect the Sanctum—at least doing what little she could.
Lorien had no objections to this. After all, he didn't need to step in himself.
"Titre~"
But at that moment, his phone rang again. Lorien took it out and glanced at the message.
\[Hela: Pervert, your little Spider-women is here to find you.\]
Gwen's here? Does she want to fight?
Lorien turned to Wanda and said, "Wait a minute. Gwen came to find me. I'll ask if she wants to join us; she hasn't fought any magicians yet."
Snap~
After speaking, Lorien snapped his fingers and returned to the Northern Building.
"Here~!" Gwen waved hello as soon as she saw Lorien appear.
"Gwen, there's a fight at Wanda's place. Want to beat someone up?" Lorien asked directly.
"A group of dark magicians attacked the Sanctum Sanctorum where Wanda is, and there's a battle going on."
"Magicians?!" Gwen's eyes lit up with interest. "I haven't fought any magicians yet! Definitely want to!"
The two immediately hit it off.
Lorien felt the same way.
Gwen didn't seem to have fought a magician before.
Then both women decided to join in.
Lorien looked at Hela and asked, "Are you coming?"
Hela's ears perked up immediately. Hearing Lorien finally call her, she hurriedly stood up from her spot.
"Although I've already killed quite a few magicians, death is something I'll never tire of."
The words were bold, but she wasn't very tall, and her tone made her sound quite determined.
"Then let's go," Lorien said.
In the next moment, Gwen instantly donned her symbiote battle suit.
Snap~
Lorien snapped his fingers again, and the three of them returned to Wanda's side.
Wanda looked a bit surprised at Gwen's new appearance. "Did you change your style today?"
"Definitely," Gwen replied, glancing around.
Hela looked out of the Sanctum. They could all hear the sounds of battle outside.
"Is it outside?" Gwen asked.
"Yes, but wait a moment," Lorien replied.
"Huh?" Gwen was puzzled.
Lorien reached out into the void, slowly drawing out a dark longsword. It was the Black Death Sword.
Hela's eyes widened in surprise.
Lorien handed the purified sword to Gwen and said, "Here you go. This sword is called the Black Death Sword. It can kill gods."
"Wow!" Gwen exclaimed. She took the longsword Lorien gave her and swung it in her hand. As she did, it left an inky afterimage in the air.
Gwen happily waved the sword around. "It feels so smooth, like I was born to use it!"
Hearing this, Lorien glanced at the symbiote battle suit she was wearing. It seemed this was due to their compatibility.
Simply put, it was like the son meeting his father.
After Lorien handed Gwen the sword, he noticed two pairs of eyes staring at him. One was from Wanda, and the other was from Hela.
First, there was Wanda.
*Cough, cough.* Lorien cleared his throat and explained, "You'll understand after you finish learning the spells. For now, you have to keep it a secret."
Hearing Lorien say this, Wanda immediately brightened up. "I'm just curious about Gwen's equipment."
As for Hela, that was even simpler.
"You don't deserve it," Lorien said bluntly.
The moment those words left his mouth, Hela's expression darkened. She was clearly upset. It was bad enough that she wasn't getting the sword, but watching Lorien give it to someone else was unbearable.
How frustrating~!
Do you have to be Lorien's woman to enjoy such privileges?
Ah!
Wait, she seemed to have an idea.
As the thought crossed her mind, Hela sighed.
The gods are unfair!
Just then, the set of doors burst open. The magician who had gone to provide support was sent flying back, and several black magicians with dark markings on their foreheads broke in.
It wasn't entirely the fault of the magicians who had gone to provide support. Black magicians typically gained their powers through sacrifices, so it was normal for them to be slightly stronger. Plus, it added to the tension of the situation.
The black magicians who broke in quickly spotted Lorien, especially noticing the three picture frames behind him. These frames were portals to other Sanctums.
Strictly speaking, it wasn't just the New York Sanctum that was under attack. The London and Hong Kong Sanctums were also being targeted.
Lorien also noticed that Stephen, who was supposed to appear, was nowhere to be seen. Had he not arrived? Or had he gone to another Sanctum? Lorien didn't dwell on it.
"Get out of the way!" one of the black magicians shouted, ready to charge forward.
Wanda, Gwen, and little Hela all turned to look at Lorien at the same time, waiting for his command.
Lorien nodded and waved his hand casually. "Do as you please."
