Chapter 97: Transformer Veteran!
-----
Gwen initially thought it was just a shot, maybe of the MSG Spherical Music Pavilion in London or perhaps the Los Angeles Film Academy Museum. But she didn't expect to find herself on an actual planet—Mars!
The first two places were architecturally spherical, but this was the real spherical shape of the universe.
*Crack~*
Before Gwen could say anything, Lorien made a sound, and the next moment, they both disappeared.
In an instant, they reappeared on scorched ground. Lorien carefully observed Gwen's condition, ready to whisk her back and reverse time by a few minutes if she felt unwell. But fortunately, Gwen felt fine. Her symbiote battle suit completely enveloped her, and although she initially held her breath, she soon realized she didn't need to breathe at all. Her heart still beat steadily.
Gwen looked around at the barren, charred landscape. Despite the desolate surroundings, she felt elated. She began dancing around excitedly, then gently pushed off with her toes.
Gwen soared several meters into the air with just a light effort. The gravity on Mars is only 0.3794 times that of Earth—light enough that even a three-year-old could break world records in the high jump. Gwen leapt several meters effortlessly. She then ran with all her might but found herself moving slowly back to Lorien's side. Finally, she grabbed Lorien's hand, holding it firmly, and pointed at the landscape outside.
[T/N: I don't know if it's true or not]
Seeing her excitement, Lorien decided to use a special ability, directly enabling Gwen to speak in his mind.
"Gwen, now we can communicate telepathically."
"Lorien! Can we really talk like this?"
"Yes, just think your words."
"Wow~!"
Gwen jumped up happily, wrapping her arms around Lorien's neck and leaping for joy. She then began to circle around him, gushing with excitement.
"It's amazing that we're on Mars! It's so light here; I can jump so far with just a single leap! Can we grow land here? Maybe plant trees or build a garden?"
"But wait, why are we here?"
Gwen chattered away, but eventually, she got to the point, asking Lorien why they had come to Mars. After all, her questions were secondary to his purpose.
Lorien smiled and answered, "We've come to be creators."
"Creators!?" Gwen's eyes widened in amazement.
"Yes," Lorien said with a smile. "I want to spread life, similar to sky fire, on this land and let it develop freely."
"Wow~~~!" Gwen was so excited that she could hardly contain herself.
"This is too cool~~~!!!"
Lorien smiled and gently patted Gwen's cheek. "Watch this."
He silently focused on the task at hand. "Using the Cybertron planet template, target: Mars."
[Ding~! Successful use!]
For a moment, the ground beneath their feet seemed to tremble, and then veins of metal began emerging from the earth. Some formed small mounds, while others slowly grew to the size of mountains, all in complete silence.
"Wow~~~!" Gwen hugged Lorien, exclaiming, "This is so cool! So amazing!"
But this was just the first step in the plan.
Next came the second step.
"Planet engine!"
In the next moment, Lorien waved his hand, and 1,000 planet engines were evenly distributed across the entire surface of Mars. Lorien and Gwen looked around in amazement. Each of the 1,000 upward-facing nozzles stood 10,000 meters tall, towering like Mountain.
"Wow~!"
Gwen was stunned, her mouth agape.
"What are these?"
"Planet engines," Lorien explained briefly. "Special nuclear fusion engines used to transform into Shapeshifting transformer."
"Then how big would the transformer be, made out of such tall engines?"
Gwen's mind raced with wild fantasies, but she still couldn't fully grasp the power and scale involved.
But that wasn't all. The third step was about to begin.
"The fire source is activated."
Activating a single planet engine would have been simple—just a tap. But what about 1,000 of them? That required a special ability.
Lorien's Phoenix Force surged, and he opened a doorway to another dimension. He took out the fire source and pressed it into the engines. Lorien's hand simultaneously appeared on the surface of all 1,000 planet engines and activated them.
Once activated, Lorien withdrew his arm, and the doorway vanished. His method was simple—he mirrored his own hand across all engines.
But the real focus was on the changes occurring within these engines. Lorien had previously taken away 18 heavy nuclear fusion balls, keeping them as Godzilla's food. Adding to the previous two, this made 20. Although these 20 planet engines lacked energy and flashed red, they were still capable of change. They just needed help from their "brothers" to generate enough energy.
Immediately afterward, under Lorien and Gwen's gaze, the 1,000 planet engines began to transform. Even the slightest change caused the surface of Mars to tremble like an earthquake.
"~~~!!`"!"
As the planet shook, the 10,000-meter-tall planet engines began to shapeshift. Or more precisely, they started to transform into 11,000-meter-tall Transformer —simultaneously!
The ground quaked, mountains trembled, and the entire planet of Mars seemed to sway!
Gwen began to lose her footing, so Lorien grabbed her and flew them both up to an altitude of 13,000 meters, where they waited for the transformation to complete.
As expected, the size of these planet engines was colossal. Lorien and Gwen hovered in the sky for a long time, watching as the engines slowly completed their transformation.
These transformers were different from the usual ones. Their feet were tracks, their hands were mechanical arms, and their heads bore only a single, massive eye!
Finally, when the transformation was complete, all the mountainous Transformer bowed their heads simultaneously, causing Mars to tremble again. Although there was no sound in the vacuum of space, Lorien could feel their collective call.
Lorien raised his hand, gathering their words onto a single energy screen. The first sentence from the thousand planet engines contained just three words:
"The Creator!"
"How about it, Gwen?" Lorien asked, turning to look at her.
Gwen was at a loss for words. A thousand mechanical titans, each as tall as Mountain, knelt before Lorien at the same time! Some were so far away that only their heads were visible, while others were on the far side of Mars and couldn't be seen at all. The sheer overwhelming presence of it all made Gwen instinctively lean closer to Lorien.
She didn't know how to respond.
Mars, the mineral veins, the gigantic transformers—the scale of it all nearly shattered her sense of proportion. It was like trying to comprehend whether ants or humans were larger, because compared to what she was witnessing, both seemed minuscule.
Gwen hugged Lorien tightly and muttered to herself, "When they moved all at once, my mind went blank. I couldn't think at all. I just stared at them until you reminded me."
