Things began to move quickly after this initial war.
There was the matter of rounding up the soldiers and also providing food and shelter for them.
Grayes, who Augustus discovered was the chief strategist of his father, was assigned the matter of the soldier's deployment and taking over Vanhiem's kingdom.
Augustus trusted Grayes, from the very start Grayes had shown his worry for Augsutus and on top of that at his age Grayes, who had seen Godfrey's powers must know that it would be a foolish idea to try and betray Augustus.
Large orders were placed by the kingdom during this period to many merchants to solve the food crisis of the kingdom.
The spy within Vanhiem Kingdom was also asked to withdraw at the time when Godfrey began moving towards the kingdom.
Now Augustus sat on his throne filled with lethargy, since he had to contact many merchants himself and negotiate deals with them.
Grayes was too busy so he had to do it himself.
General David was stationed right outside the throne room in case the fifth General whose position remained unknown attempted to launch a sneak attack on Augustus.
Right now.
Augustus just waited for the news from Grayes about the success of Godfrey.
The military under General Rod had been deployed so that they could smoothly take over Vanhiem after Godfrey was done and seize the resources.
This deployment was done about 6 hours ago and in that time Augustus was constantly negotiating with merchants.
Augustus also discovered that his kingdom was located within the first half of Grandline better known as Paradise.
this would also explain why a kingdom like Vanhiem kingdom had 5 Vice admiral-level generals.
[Perhaps I added too many generals, my bad, a good estimation would be 1 general for Augsutus's kingdom and two for Vanhiem]
*knock* *knock*
Augustus heard a knock on the door at this time, he straightened up his dishevelled clothes pushed back the hair that hung over his forehead and sat up straight.
"Your Majesty, may I enter?" Grayes voice resounded.
"Come in" Augustus said and as soon as he said that, the door opened and Grayes walked in with a wide smile.
"Your Majesty!" Grayes said, his aged eyes gleaming with indescribable happiness, while his hands were tightly gripping onto a few papers.
"So, did we win?" Augustus asked even though he already knew the answer in his heart when he saw Grayes's happiness.
"Yes your Majesty, We Won, Supreme Commander Godfrey successfully defeated 10,000 soldiers before the army finally arrived.
Soon after that, the King of Vanhiem declared his Surrender and the soldiers marched inside the castle through the streets with our Kingdom's flag proudly displayed.
Resources were seized and the prisoners such as the king, his family, Vanhiem kingdoms ministers and the ministers who betrayed our kingdom are being escorted here so that your majesty can determine their fate"
"Good Job, what about the Generals?" Augustus asked.
"Your Majesty, One of the generals was killed and the other one whose whereabouts were previously unknown was discovered to have been ordered to attack our kingdom and he was watching when Godfrey fought the three other Generals.
It can only be assumed that in fear, the fifth General ran away"
"I see, what about the resources gained from them?" Augustus asked Grayes who upon hearing Augustus's question immediately brought the paper closer to his face.
"4 Billion berries have been acquired from Vanhiem Kingdom," Grayes said his tone filled with excitement.
'4 billion!' Augustus thought as a smile couldn't help but appear on his face.
It must be known that all of the food Augustus had negotiated for the citizens of the kingdom spread out over 1 year cost him about 1.2 billion berries.
'A good chunk of that must have been stolen from our Kingdom' Augustus thought to himself as he glanced at Grayes.
On the surface, Augustus maintained his calm Toward the amount Grayes had just said.
"Is Vanhiem self-sufficient for its citizens?" Augustus asked trying to figure out if he would need to order more food.
He believed that with the character summoning, in a year his kingdom would be able to rapidly develop.
"Your Majesty, Vanhiem is self-sufficient in terms of food through farming, however, other things such as Clothes and tools are brought in through the World government's assistance.
Grayes then proceeded to announce the food generation rates within Vanhiem to which Augustus could only nod.
After a few more pieces of information such as mines and the amount generated, people and tools required to operate them etc etc, Grayes finally stopped talking.
"What is the land we are on called?" Augsutus finnaly asked.
"It is called Fray" Grayes responded.
"Okay, are there any other forces on Fray?" Augustus asked.
"No your Majesty, We are the only Kingdom and essentially the entirety of Fray is now under our control" Grayes said.
"Good then, Be on the lookout for merchants who will soon come to deliver food and provide them with money, the names and amounts to be given are something I will provide," Augustus said as he grabbed a paper on the side of his throne and handed it to Grayes.
"You should also be prepared, The world government will not sit still and might move the Marines to come deal with us in the name of us being terrorists or posing a danger to the world government or something, high chance a buster call" Augustus said preparing Grayes.
"Okay your majesty" Grayes responded not at all bothered by what Augustus said.
"Aren't you worried?" Augsutus asked.
"No, with Commander Godfrey is there anything to be worried about?" Grayes responded with a smile still on his face.
