Lily paced restlessly around her room, her thoughts consumed by the day's events. The weight of her father's condition and the visit to her mother's grave. Then, the coded messages of the chat with Harriet. Determined to push forward, she picked up her phone and dialed Kelvin's number, her mind racing with the urgency of her task.
"Hello, Kelvin, are you free? I need your help with something important" Lily said, her voice reflecting a mix of fatigue and determination.
"Hi..Lily..oh" Kelvin replied, his voice mirroring his perplexity. "I'm free. What's going on?"
"I'll fill you in when you get here. Just come over as soon as you can," Lily responded, grateful for his willingness to assist; at least, not after he hears the mission.
After ending the call, she dialed Kiara's number. "Hi Kiara, can you come over? I need you and Kelvin to help with something urgent."
Kiara agreed without hesitation. "I'm on my way."
