Chapter 24 - 24. Practice In Foosha Village!

After taking a look at little Makino, Rob had a soft smile on his face:

"I heard from the village chief that you provide accommodation here? My sister and I would like to stay for a while. We will pay for it!"

Since leaving Ohara, Rob hadn't been actively hunting pirates or going to the Marines to exchange bounties, but he did encounter many pirates along the way. Each time he destroyed a pirate group, he collected a lot of treasures and supplies, so he and Robin never lacked money or sailing supplies.

"Sure!"

Makino glanced at Rob and Robin, then smiled:

"It's okay if you don't pay. As long as you help me with my work, I can provide you with accommodation and food for free!"

Hearing Makino's offer, Rob smiled:

"Is that so? I don't have much time, what about you, Robin? Would you like to try working here?"

Working was secondary. Rob could feel that Robin really liked the atmosphere of Foosha Village. It would be good for her to have more contact with the villagers in the tavern, especially with Makino, a peer of the same age.

After hesitating for a while, Robin looked at the expectant Makino and nodded slightly:

"Yes! I can help you work, boss!"

Makino's face lit up with a happy smile, and she held Robin's little hand familiarly:

"Great! I'm the only one in the tavern, and I'm often overwhelmed! You don't have to call me the boss, just call me Makino!"

Feeling Makino's enthusiasm, Robin also smiled:

"Makino-chan, just call me Robin! This is my brother, Rob. Please take care of us."

Following Robin's introduction, Rob also greeted Makino.

With that, Rob and Robin arranged to live in Makino's tavern in exchange for Robin helping out. The simple, trusting nature of the villagers made it easy for them.

...

The next day.

Early in the morning—

Rob came outside the village. According to his daily plan, he started his sword skills and body training. Then he would go to the sea to exercise his body and continue to temper his Conqueror's Haki power.

Staying in Foosha Village was partly because Robin had rarely made a request, and partly because one of his goals in coming to Foosha Village was to meet Garp, who wasn't in the village at the moment. Rob planned to wait for him.

Of course, Rob didn't inquire about Garp. The villagers were simple and friendly, but because Garp was becoming more and more famous, they were worried about retaliation from crazy pirates, so they were very vigilant.

"In this world, sword skills and physical skills are powerful, but in the final analysis, the fancy moves are secondary!"

While practicing his sword techniques, Rob pondered:

"As long as you have enough strength and speed, whether it's body techniques or sword techniques, it will be synonymous with power! The power system in this world, except for the strange Devil Fruits, is really simple and direct!"

Through further practice and development of his sword and body techniques, Rob gradually understood the essence of these arts in this world.

That is—

Strength produces miraculous critical strikes, and speed results in swift, decisive victories!

Even the power of Haki is enhanced by these two aspects, adding special attack methods. Ultimately, it all depends on the strength of the body!

It's not difficult to understand it from the fight of Kuzan and Akainu for ten days and ten nights for the position of Fleet Admiral. It's also clear why the vitality of the strong in this world is extremely tenacious. Even when they are critically injured, they can recover quickly and return to their peak state!

In the end, this world operates on the principle of—

Breaking through all limits with raw power!

Still.

Rob prefers to make his moves gorgeous and elegant!

For example, in the future, Zoro reciting poems and attacking has a special charm. However, like Mihawk's ultimate straightforward strikes, the simplicity can also be extremely impressive!

But no matter the style—

All require their ultimate to be powerful!

After rehearsing his sword techniques more than ten times, Rob took off his clothes, jumped into the sea, and sank towards the ocean depths with great skill.

Not long after, Rob stood on a reef at the bottom of the sea and began slashing forward with the straight sword he brought down, going all out each time!

However—

The strong pressure and resistance of the seawater made it much more difficult for Rob to swing his sword compared to on land. The power generated by his slashes was far from the level he achieved on land. Rob felt like a beginner again as he practiced underwater!

He focused solely on the practice of swinging the sword without practicing any elaborate techniques!

As the saying goes, concentrate on one point and reach the peak.

Rob could practice making his attacks elegant and gorgeous on land, relying on his talent for learning and gradually becoming stronger. But now, he wanted to practice the single, strongest, unreserved, and sure-kill sword technique among all his skills.

It's the same reason Rob developed only one move, the Octopole technique. The real killer sword technique he wanted to develop wouldn't be as diverse as Zoro's, with many named moves—only the ultimate, single sword technique!

As for physical skills, he only needed Octopole as a finishing move.

For sword skills, he aimed to create the most extreme move.

Rob didn't know how much time it would take to master this true one-shot technique. It could take a long time, or it might be created suddenly one day.

But this sword—

It must be Rob's ultimate sword!
