I'd made a mistake.
It happened so quickly that it felt surreal.
My name was Andrew, a 21-year-old man currently attending college. Having been kicked out of my parents' house a few years ago, I was now living in a dormitory with a few others. I was of Caucasian descent, with jet-black hair, deep brown eyes, and a remarkably handsome visage. Despite my lack of height, I saw myself as a strikingly beautiful person. With a splendid face and a taste for fine clothing, I carried myself as a gentleman. I was a law-abiding citizen who always followed society's expectations.
My parents were quite affluent. They were involved in the film industry, and while their projects never skyrocketed, they still managed to rake in a substantial amount of money from them.
Due to their achievements, I had always been a fortunate child. Anything I desired was promptly granted to me; my wishes never went unfulfilled.
Though, if there was one thing I couldn't seem to grasp, it would be finding a mate.
Yes, I was a twenty-one-year-old virgin.
I could never comprehend why I remained alone, why no woman ever showed any interest in me. I believed myself to be a truly remarkable individual, yet not a single female had ever made an attempt to pursue me.
They consistently chose the rude and barbaric men, who in my opinion were no more than apes.
I couldn't help but feel disgusted by the foolishness of women. Why did they always gravitate towards jerks instead of someone like me? Just take a look at me, I am magnificent.
I recoil at the sight of couples in public, my skin crawling with disgust. Each glance at them sparks twisted fantasies in my mind.
My hatred intensified each day, reaching a boiling point this morning when I went to the supermarket for groceries . While carrying out my errands, I witnessed a couple engaged in a passionate embrace nearby.
Catching my gaze, they smirked, sending a surge of fury through me. In a fit of rage, I lashed out at them. The woman's piercing scream and the man's protective stance only fueled my aggression.
I shoved him with great force, causing him to fall and hit his head on the hard floor, the sound of impact accompanied by the sight of blood.
In that moment, as the woman's cries echoed around me, the gravity of my actions dawned on me. Fear gripped me, prompting a hasty retreat from the scene, ultimately bringing me to my current location.
At the moment, I found myself running without a clear destination in mind. Should I go back to my dorm or seek refuge in a bush? I had certainly messed up, and I was at a loss for what my next move should be.
"Damn, why did this have to happen to me? It was their fault for giving me those judgmental looks."
I continued to run aimlessly, drawing strange looks from those on the street. My legs carried me until I reached a traffic light that glowed a bright green.
I stood there, waiting, attempting to catch my breath. I needed to gather my thoughts and come up with a plan to extricate myself from this mess.
Stay calm, think rationally - I had always managed to navigate tricky situations before.
"First things first, I have to speak to my parents about this. I am certain they could get a good lawyer for me."
Lost in my thoughts, a yell jolted me back to reality. Turning around, I saw two figures sprinting in my direction. They were cops.
That was way too quick.
Panic surged through me, propelling my legs to dart across the street.
As I dashed, I noticed the traffic light still shining bright green.
Simultaneously, a presence to my right caught my attention.
A massive truck barreled towards me without slowing down.
"Huh?"
Before I could fully comprehend the situation, the truck was already right beside me.
In the next instant, a wall of metal struck me with tremendous force.
The impact was so violent that I felt my insides shifting. I was sent soaring through the air, like a puppet, before collapsing next to a traffic light.
It hurt
It hurts so bad, arrrgrggggg!
I had never felt such agony my whole life.
Oh no, was this the end for me?
I don't want it to end like this.
I could still see, my eyes wide open, as the people around me stared in horror.
Then, a man in a hoodie dashed past me, followed by two police officers. One of them glanced back and returned to check on me.
"Hey! Are you okay?!"
Ah shit, so they weren't after me.
Just as that thought crossed my mind, everything faded to black.
