" Lugh!!, stop!!!!!."
The immense mana overflow stopped as Lugh retracted his hand from the philosopher stone
The homeroom teacher stood up, her legs were still numb
HT said to him " YOU ARE CRAZY!!" AS SHE WAS Talking with LUGH the headmaster rushed into the vault with the assistant, he demanded to know what had happened, and the HT explained everything after which the headmaster was shocked, headmaster sent Lugh back to class, and gave scolding to the homeroom teacher after which she was sent back to continue the class
HT came back to the classroom and separated the class according to their faculty, two teachers came after the HT left the classroom
these two teachers came to teach both faculties, and they both introduced themselves to the students
the one who came to teach the combatants faculty was called Professor Jones and the one who came to teach the magical faculty was known as Professor Britney
prof Jones said to Britney. "Professor Britney I have an idea, why don't we play a game " to which she replied curiously, professor jones continues "The rules are simple, I will teach the magical faculty and you will teach the combatant faculty, we will try to explain a controversial theory of our respective majors and if the students can create a counter then that major wins"
"Professor Jones that's quite an interesting game, but, I will only accept if the students agree-" Professor Britney said this. all the students exclaimed, "WE AGREE!!"
" There we have it"
Professor Jones walked in front of the magical faculty
"There is a controversial move in close paw style, this move is known as a rabbit punch, firstly, what is a rabbit punch? it refers to a type of strike in close paw style or any type of martial arts where a punch is delivered to the back of an opponent's head or neck. so. to win you only have to tell me why it's so controversial
all the students of the magical faculty were confused, some students asked
"why is it so controversial, we can just enhance our physical abilities using mana, that way even if we did suffer a blow to the neck it would not be that fatal" and every magical faculty-student agreed
prof jones calmed everyone down and said "Imagine that you are fighting a martial artist and you have depleted your mana, in this situation you are at a disadvantage, even if the mana of the martial artist is depleted he is still at an advantage because a martial artist have stamina and an array of techniques which he can use at any time"
the magical faculty students realized that they were wrong and became very silent
prof jones continues "The point of this game is not to say that one faculty is better than the other, but, to make you understand that both the faculties are important" prof jones turned to Prof. Britney and said "It's your turn now prof Britney"
"I've heard that there are only muscle-for-brain students in combatants faculty, I guess I can confirm that today"
after hearing Prof. Britney, Lugh realized and thought [ she was trying to either block our ability to think collectively or it's just a way to satisfy her ego, either way, this is not affecting me, so, there is no reason for me to get involved]
Prof. Britney continues" There is a hot topic of conversation among the magicians called mana exclusion, this is basically when the mana is released into the atmosphere" As she said this, she lifted her arm
"I hope your muscle brains can at least use sensory magic" she successfully provoked the magical faculty students
Sensory magic: It's a type of basic magic that makes one be able to sense or see mana.
students used sensory magic as instructed by the professor
"Now that everyone is using sensory magic, look at my hand, as you can see I just released mana in the atmosphere, this released mana is now foreign to my magic source, Hence, this mana is not able to return to the magic source since there is no way for me to take this mana back into my body, but, some magicians debate that it is possible to take released mana back in the mana vein if you can create a debate then you win"
prof jones thought to himself
[ Such a complicated controversy for first-year combatants faculty students is too much, even the magical faculty students are confused, there isn't a way to take mana back in the vein, and having them create a debate opposing it is almost impossible]
"As expected of you pea brains, can t you at least create a small debate to try and prove me wrong" All the combat students were speechless and were insulted by the professor
" what about you Lugh" she said with a proud expression
Lugh who was ignoring all this gave a sharp look to prof Britney
" aren't you a supernova who got a perfect score in all the subjects of both magic and combat faculty, even with such high stats you can't create small debate?"
except for a few. all the other students in the magical faculty burst out laughing
Riley face palmed and thought to himself [ she just had to involve him who was just on the side, I truly pity her]
" in the end, you were also a muscle brain just like these idiots"
Lugh stood up "All I have to do is create a logical debate to prove the controversy wrong and I win"
Prof Britney says with a smug look "That's right, though I do not expect you to create a logical debate in the first place, but, it will be fun to see you try"
Lugh started walking towards prof Britney " I don't care what you say, but, I will prove you wrong"
everyone looked at Lugh with pale expressions
" he seriously said to her face"
" he is done for" such were the whispers of the students
Lugh stood beside her, she said "You have created very high expectations, now you must live up to them"
" Everyone cast sensory magic and look at my hand," said Lugh while lifting his hand till it was in front of his face
" There is a property of mana known as attractive properties, in general Mana possesses various properties but this property, in particular, is unique as it attracts similar mana properties together, basically it groups mana"
everyone was listening to Lugh with skeptical and confused faces
" the fastest way to make you understand is by demonstrating it" Lugh then released mana in the atmosphere "Here my mana is released and it's now considered as foreign mana" Lugh then released mana from his fingertips which connected with the foreign mana "the mana released from my finger is still connected to my mana vein which means its in my control, what do you think will happen if I were to take this mana back in the vein"
confused Prof Britney said, "The mana which is connected to the vein will be absorbed?"
Lugh then smiled and said" Remember, I told you about the force of attraction that is caused by attractive properties present In mana"
her eyes widened with realization
" Yes, that's right" he absorbed the mana, but, something unexpected happened which shocked everyone, even the foreign mana was absorbed along with the mana that was connected with the vein
"!No" way!!, how can that be possible" exclaimed prof Britney
all students were left speechless
Prof Britney couldn't believe what she witnessed "Oh my, Professor Britney, seems like you can't believe me, why don't you try it yourself," said Lugh with a dominating smile
Britney did as Lugh told her, "No way??, it worked?"
"How?? Come-"
"It is because mana properties are not the same for every person, someone may or may not possess attractive properties in mana, for example, you and I have this mana property in our mana, but, prof jones might not have it, many people don't even realize what their mana is capable of"
as she witnessed more, in a small attempt to save her dying pride she tried to pose a question which she couldn't because Lugh interrupted her
Prof jones witnessing all this bursts out laughing, everyone's eyes on prof jones " Apparently the winner here is obvious, don't you agree prof Britney" said prof jones with an amused face
Prof Britney's face was pale "Yes" she agreed while looking down at the ground
Prof jones announced "There we have it, the winner of this game is Lugh"
"Wasn't it supposed to be a group game.?"
" he won the game alone?"
" did you see the defeated expression on prof Britney's face" Such were the whispers of the students
Merlin who was sitting with the students of the magical faculty gave Lugh a sharp glare as he walked back to his seat beside Riley
After announcing the winner of the game both the professors left the classroom and rested in the staff room, other professors were gossiping after seeing the pale expression on prof Britney's face, but, prof jones had a puzzled look on his face
[I checked if I had attractive properties in my mana in secret, but, it turns out that I don't, so, the question is how did Lugh know? Even though he phrased it as a possibility, he knew that my mana doesn't have that property, quite interesting 🤔 "
Suddenly the building started to shake uncontrollably, prof jones sensed it was abnormal, so he stood up and instructed everyone to evacuate the students
Meanwhile, in the classroom, everyone was panicking, the professors who were talking taking the class told everyone "Don't panic everyone, and follow after us" All the students started to run after them
Lisa stood up "Merlin!, let's go" but Merlin grabbed her hand "Lisa, it's better if you stay here" As Merlin said this, Lisa noticed that Merlin was scared
After everyone left Merlin told Lisa to follow her, and as they were getting out of the classroom " Stop!" a voice stopped them, they turned back and saw that it was Lugh who had stopped them, and he was looking at the ceiling
" why have you stopped us? Don't you see that this is an emergency" said Merlin in a hurry
"The others ran because of the urgent situation, but, you two are running because you saw an opportunity," said Lugh while turning toward them
Merlin gritted her teeth
"Either way, I don't care what you two are up to, I just want to know why Merlin was glaring at me during the class," said Lugh with a serious expression
Lisa came forward and said "Lugh, this is neither the place nor the time to be having this conversation"
"I see"
Lugh then lifted his arm and faced it towards Lisa who was standing at a distance
"Vondgeir!"
as Lugh called for it, the Vondgeirr scepter flew out of Lisa's mana source into Lugh's hand,
Merlin was baffled after witnessing this, Lisa was breathing heavily because of exhaustion caused by the sudden materialization of the mana source
Lugh looked at the spearhead of the Vondgeir "Interesting" As Lugh said this, Vondgeirr started to glow with a blue aura, after the glow disappeared Lugh sent it back to Lisa's source
Merlin lifted Lisa and ran out of there at full speed
"Damn," Lugh said to himself after he saw Merlin easily lifting Lisa and running off at full speed
Vondgeir is a magical scepter which can be used as a medium to amplify mana
and as a spear, it has a size similar to that of any Spear, its body is black, it is a bident, and between its two points there is mana amplifying stone
While running "I didn't expect Lugh to be this powerful" said Merlin
" what do you mean," exhausted Lisa who was being carried by Merlin asked
" Lisa, I will explain later"
Merlin stopped after reaching the exit, " damn it won't budge" she said after trying to open it, "guess I'll have to break it down, Lisa, be careful" Lisa nodded
Mana which resembled the sea started to surround Merlin, "Atgeir!" As she screamed this, a trident with a blue shaft that had three cyan-colored points as the head materialized from her magic source, which she used to break down the entrance door
as both came out of the academy building, their faces became pale
the sky was covered in black clouds
" what the heck is going on, the sky is covered with dark clouds?, and why is the wind so strong, the weather was clear this morning," said Lisa in a confused tone
"NO, Lisa, what we are witnessing is not because of the weather"
" what do you mean?" Lisa asked with a puzzled look on her face
"The sky is black and the wind is strong because of something else"
Lisa looked at Merlin who was terrified
