Professor Oak's Laboratory

"Huh? It's Ash again?" Seeing the message on the machine and the Poké Ball, Professor Oak immediately recognized it was sent by Ash. He was a little surprised. Earlier in the morning, Squirtle had been sent over and replaced with Ivysaur.

Now another Pokémon had been delivered. For Professor Oak, receiving Pokémon from Ash was like opening a blind box—each one held the potential to surprise him.

The more unique the Pokémon sent by Trainers, the more valuable it would be for his research.

"Let's see what it is this time!"

Boom!

The Poké Ball opened with a bang, and a small figure emerged from the light. As the glow faded, a Krabby appeared on the floor.

"Krabby? Hmm... this Krabby seems a bit underdeveloped," Professor Oak mused, glancing at the small Krabby. He then unconsciously looked toward the large fish tank on the other side of the lab.

Inside was another Krabby—this one had been sent by Gary. A typical Krabby measures around 40 cm, but Gary's Krabby was at least over 60 cm, appearing even larger due to its oversized pincers.

Since Professor Oak had been researching Gary's Krabby, it hadn't been sent outside yet. By comparison, the Krabby Ash sent was much smaller.

Kuku!

Krabby, clearly displeased by Professor Oak's remark about its size, bubbled noisily in protest. Startled, Professor Oak smiled awkwardly.

"Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you," he chuckled, realizing his mistake. Professor Oak wasn't one to judge Pokémon by size or strength; he always gave each Pokémon the care they needed.

He gently poked Krabby's pincers in a comforting gesture. Krabby's eyes narrowed, and without hesitation, it snapped its pincers shut on Professor Oak's hand.

Owwww!!!

Though Professor Oak was used to such antics and had been attacked by Pokémon before, the surrounding residents had grown accustomed to these commotions. However, this time, his cry of pain was particularly loud, echoing through the lab. If not for the spaciousness of Professor Oak's laboratory, his shout might have alarmed the nearby town.

"Hiss..."

"The strength in those pincers is incredible, especially for its size!" Professor Oak winced as he examined his finger, now swollen like a balloon. With lingering fear, he glanced at the small Krabby now placed in another tank.

Despite its small size, the power in its claws rivaled that of larger Krabby. After comparing it to Gary's Krabby, he was certain of this.

No wonder Ash caught it. Gary's Krabby had been around for a long time, growing large but still not evolving. Ash's Krabby, though small, had great potential.

"Phew... Well, let's eat first!" he sighed, ready to take a break.

Bill's Lighthouse

"Mr. Bill, why are you dressed like that?" Bill, another Pokémon researcher, stood nearby. Unlike Professor Oak's gray-haired appearance, Bill was a young, handsome man.

Many people expected researchers to look like Professor Mikey, but in truth, the world was full of young, talented Pokémon researchers.

Bill's Lighthouse

Bill was much younger than Professor Oak, but because Professor Oak was older and one of the first to start researching Pokémon, he was considered an authority in the field. Most young researchers were, in some way, following in his footsteps.

"I want to feel the emotions of the super ancient Pokémon!" Bill said calmly when he heard Misty's question.

"Feel the emotions of super ancient Pokémon?" Misty asked, clearly puzzled.

"Yes. These extinct ancient Pokémon were once the rulers of this world. But how did they live? What were their habits? How did they feel before they went extinct?"

"I believe you can only understand these things by putting yourself in the shoes of a Pokémon!" Bill closed his eyes and placed his hands over his heart, as if he were truly connecting with the ancient creatures.

"Is it really useful to know all that?" Misty questioned.

"Absolutely. Not only does it help us understand history, but it also aids in caring for and raising Pokémon today. Their era has ended, yes, but by studying their stories, we might be able to prevent a similar fate for humans and current Pokémon," Bill explained, opening his eyes and looking at the group.

"Wow, that sounds amazing!" Misty nodded, half-understanding.

Ash was impressed by Bill's dedication. He knew that even though Pokémon could be controlled by skilled Trainers like him, there were always Legendary Pokémon out there, some with the power to bring disaster to the world.

"Can I use the phone?" Ash asked, noticing the phone nearby. He had just sent Krabby to Professor Oak, and though everything was probably fine, he still wanted to check. A responsible Trainer should always make sure their Pokémon are doing well.

"Of course! Feel free!" Bill said generously, happy to accommodate. Besides, with guests over, he wouldn't have to worry about dinner tonight.

Brock, ever the helpful cook, had already asked Bill where the kitchen was. With Bill's guidance, Brock eagerly headed off to start preparing a meal.

Ash approached the phone. Bill's equipment wasn't as advanced as Professor Oak's, since Bill focused more on his research, while Professor Oak also managed tasks for many Trainers. Still, it would do.

After dialing the number for Professor Oak's lab, the screen flickered to life, and Professor Oak's face appeared. He was sitting at a table, cooking something in a casserole. Amusingly, his index finger was raised, wrapped in a thick bandage like a bun.

"Professor! What happened to your hand?" Ash asked, concerned.

"Huh? Oh! Ash! No need to worry. I've received the Krabby you sent over," Professor Oak said with a smile, moving aside so Ash could see Krabby in the tank.

Krabby noticed Ash on the screen and happily waved its pincers in greeting from the fish tank.
