Because Ash already had six Pokémon with him, after subduing Bulbasaur, the Poké Ball was automatically teleported to the Pokédex registration location.

If an ordinary person has a teleporter at home, the Pokémon would be sent directly there. If they have a Pokédex like Ash, it will typically be sent to the lab of a Pokémon Professor. Therefore, any excess Pokémon captured will either go to the Laboratory or be sent home or to the nearest Pokémon Center.

Even if you're not near a Pokémon Center, as long as there's a teleportation machine, you can contact the Pokémon Center to ask Nurse Joy to help with exchanging the teleported Pokémon.

Everyone present was a trainer, so they weren't surprised by what happened. Ash, more experienced than his anime counterpart, already knew the situation and wasn't concerned.

**Pallet Town – Professor Oak's Laboratory**

*Ding dong!!*

"A new Poké Ball has been sent!" Inside the lab, Professor Oak, who was busy with his research, suddenly heard the notification.

"Oh? A new Pokémon has arrived? It must be from Gary, right?"

Pausing his work, he walked over to the teleporter. A Poké Ball sat on the platform, and he glanced at the screen to check who sent it.

"Hmm? Ash this time? He finally caught more than six Pokémon! I wonder what he's sent back."

Of the four trainers who set out, Professor Oak was particularly optimistic about Ash. Though Gary was his grandson, Oak knew Gary had his own issues to work on.

Traveling teaches important lessons, and unlike Gary, who tends to rush things, Ash was learning more, even if he had fewer Pokémon. But now Oak was curious to see what Ash had captured.

"Let's take a look!"

With a click, Professor Oak tossed the Poké Ball into the air. A burst of blue light filled the room, and soon, Bulbasaur appeared in front of him.

The battle with Pikachu had left Bulbasaur a bit dirty and tired, but he quickly shook it off.

"Oh? Bulbasaur! How rare—Ash caught it!"

There hadn't been any word from Ash lately, and Professor Oak hadn't expected such a surprise. Though others had sent back numerous Pokémon, capturing a Bulbasaur was a special feat, given how difficult it could be to find.

Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle may be starter Pokémon, but they weren't easy to catch in the wild. Their potential made them highly sought after by rookie trainers, but they weren't as common as one might think. That Ash chose Pikachu over the others only made this capture more remarkable.

*Wonderful!*

Bulbasaur, with its cautious nature, immediately became alert in the unfamiliar lab, warily eyeing the stranger in front of it.

"Well~~~ let me take a closer look. The skin color is excellent, and those muscles seem well-developed, probably from frequent battles. But... strange. The seed should be larger. Why?"

Professor Oak stepped closer to examine Bulbasaur, particularly the seed on its back, unaware that Bulbasaur's expression was changing.

*Wonderful!!*

"Ahhhhh!!!" A loud yell echoed through the lab. People outside paused momentarily but didn't pay much attention. After all, such occurrences were not uncommon around Professor Oak's lab.

"Great! As expected, it's Ash and Pikachu." On the other side, Brock and Misty came over immediately after seeing Ash successfully capture Bulbasaur.

"Congratulations, Ash!" Melanie also approached and congratulated him.

"No, I should be thanking you," Ash replied with a slight shake of his head. Although he was thrilled to have caught such a strong Pokémon, he felt gratitude toward Melanie.

"By the way, I noticed the Poké Ball disappeared just now. Does that mean you've caught more than six Pokémon?" Melanie asked. "I have a phone and a teleporter at my place. If you don't mind, you're welcome to use them!" she added enthusiastically.

They all wanted a chance to say goodbye to Bulbasaur, and Ash, understanding their feelings, didn't refuse. Following Melanie, they entered her house.

"With all this technology, this place is really no different from a Pokémon Center!" Brock remarked in amazement.

"Hehe! Well, we often have trainers' Pokémon with complicated conditions that need special care. Sometimes we have to use these devices," Melanie explained with a smile, feeling relieved that the technology would allow them to properly bid farewell to Bulbasaur.

Ash didn't say much, heading straight to the phone. He dialed Professor Oak's Laboratory, and after a moment, the screen connected.

"This is Professor Oak's Laboratory. Who is it?" Professor Oak appeared on the screen, looking a bit disheveled. His white lab coat was torn in several places, though it was unclear what had caused the damage.

"Professor, what happened to you?" Ash asked, surprised by Oak's appearance.

"Huh? Oh! Ash! Have you already found a Pokémon Center?" Professor Oak replied, quickly trying to fix his coat, though it remained tattered.

It was a bit surprising to Oak, considering Bulbasaur had been caught in the wild, that Ash had been able to make contact so soon.

"No, we're in the Pokémon land and borrowed the phone from the locals here," Ash explained.

"Ah, I see! So you've made it to the Pokémon land! I suppose your next destination is Vermilion City?" Professor Oak asked.

"Yes, Professor. The Bulbasaur I just caught was teleported to you!" Ash nodded, eager to hear about Bulbasaur's condition.

"This..." Professor Oak glanced nervously to the side.

Suddenly, there was a commotion, and Bulbasaur leapt up in front of the phone, landing right next to Professor Oak. Its face filled the screen as it looked at Ash.
