After rushing out of the smoke, Arbok opened its mouth, its sharp teeth suddenly elongating and glowing with a dark purple light, sending chills down everyone's spine as it lunged directly at Pikachu.
"Use Electro Ball!"
Ash remained calm, watching as Arbok rushed forward with its mouth open, and immediately gave Pikachu the signal.
"Pikaaaa-chuuu!"
Pikachu leapt backward as soon as it heard the command, with Arbok quickly giving chase. Pikachu's tail crackled with electrical energy, forming a glowing gold Electro Ball. With a swift flick of his tail, Pikachu hurled the ball directly at Arbok.
*Whoosh!*
*Boom!*
Just as Arbok was about to bite down, Pikachu's Electro Ball hit its target, exploding right in Arbok's open mouth. Arbok's upper body was thrown back by the blast, smoke pouring from its mouth, while Pikachu landed gracefully behind it. The other Trainers had already been defeated, but Ariana was no ordinary Trainer, and her Arbok was at a high level. After a brief shake of its head, Arbok quickly recovered. Seeing this, Ash didn't hesitate.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!"
"Pika! Pika!"
Pikachu darted forward in a flash of silver light, its speed soaring. Though Arbok was fast, it was no match for Pikachu's speed. Dodging Pikachu's attacks wasn't going to be easy.
After some intense back-and-forth, Ariana realized that Ash was more challenging than she thought, so she became more serious.
"Arbok, use Dig!"
As Pikachu rushed forward, Ariana quickly issued her command. Arbok dove headfirst into the ground with a loud crash, burrowing deep beneath the surface.
Pikachu charged over where Arbok had disappeared but missed its target. Just then, the ground under Pikachu split open.
Arbok shot up quickly, but Pikachu reacted just in time, leaping backward. However, Ariana was ready.
"Arbok, don't let it escape, use Wrap!"
The moment Arbok burst from the ground, Pikachu dodged, but under Ariana's command, Arbok swiftly pursued. It coiled its long body around Pikachu, tightening its grip and squeezing hard.
"Pika!"
With Arbok squeezing tighter, a tense sound filled the air as Pikachu let out a strained cry from the pressure.
"Little boy, your Pikachu is trapped now!" Ariana taunted Ash with a smirk.
"Really? Looks like it's you who can't escape!" Ash replied with a sly smile, pushing his hat back slightly.
"What?!"
"Pikachu, use Thunder Shock!"
"Arbok, let go!" Ariana shouted in alarm, realizing what was coming.
Arbok tried to release Pikachu, but it was too late. The lightning surged from Pikachu, electrifying Arbok at close range. Arbok howled in pain and collapsed to the ground, smoking from the shock. Pikachu also landed on the ground, breathing heavily but still standing strong. Ash saw his chance.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!"
Pikachu responded with a determined cry and dashed forward once again, his body still crackling with residual electricity. Arbok slowly got back on its feet, and Ash frowned slightly. As expected of an Executive's Pokémon, Arbok wasn't easy to take down.
"Use Dig!" Ariana ordered, frowning herself. She hadn't faced such a tough opponent in a long time, and certainly not a teenager.
Arbok burrowed underground to avoid Pikachu's Quick Attack again. But this time, Ash wasn't going to give Ariana another chance to strike.
"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"
"Pika! Pikaaa-chaa!" Pikachu halted abruptly, then leapt high into the air. His tail shimmered with a metallic glow as he spun in midair, descending with great force.
*Crash! Boom!*
Pikachu's Iron Tail slammed into the ground with tremendous power, cracking the earth beneath him. Stones flew into the air from the impact, and the vibrations forced Arbok out of its hiding spot, launching it into the open.
"What?!" Ariana gasped in shock. She hadn't expected Ash to counter Dig like that.
"Pikachu, Electro Ball!" Ash quickly commanded, seizing the opening.
Pikachu's tail returned to normal as electrical energy gathered once more. As Arbok was thrown out of the ground, Pikachu charged up and launched the attack.
"Pikaaa-chuuuuu!"
*Bang! Bang!*
The Electro Ball hit the airborne Arbok directly, causing a massive explosion of electricity and flames that engulfed the serpent. Pikachu landed on the ground, panting heavily, his limbs trembling slightly from the exertion.
Through the thick smoke, Arbok's charred figure appeared, struggling to stay upright. Its body was scorched, and smoke rose from its scales as it tried to support itself.
*Just!*
But before Arbok could fully recover, it collapsed again, eyes closing as its long body went limp, its tongue hanging out.
"Arbok!!" Ariana cried out in disbelief. She couldn't fathom that she had been defeated by an unknown boy.
Her subordinates were equally stunned. Ariana, one of the four Executives, had actually lost! They stared at Ash as if he were some kind of prodigy, but Ash's expression remained calm and focused. Ariana looked at him, speechless, before recalling Arbok into its Poké Ball.
"It seems I underestimated you," she said slowly. "But even though you've won, I still can't let you leave. Sorry, little brother, but don't blame your sister for being cruel." Ariana's voice had a sinister edge, revealing her true intentions. She had no plans of letting them escape.
As she finished speaking, her subordinates stepped forward, drawing their Poké Balls and closing in on Ash, surrounding him.
