At this time, a figure in the air quickly turned back, rushed toward a tree not far from Lin Fei, and landed.
Pidgeotto!!!
Pidgeotto descended from the sky and landed right in front of Ash, crying out urgently as if to alert him to something.
"What happened over there?" Ash asked, sensing Pidgeotto's anxiety.
Pidgeotto nodded immediately and continued to call out, clearly distressed. Ash, noticing the urgency, glanced behind him.
Ekans, Koffing, and Meowth were trailing behind. Ash's gaze fell on Meowth, and as soon as it did, Meowth trembled, wanting to flee instinctively.
Ash wasted no time and stepped forward. Koffing and Ekans, preoccupied with something else, didn't stop him as Ash grabbed Meowth by the scruff.
"You understand, don't you? Tell me what happened," Ash demanded, lifting Meowth up and walking over to Pidgeotto. Under Ash's intense stare, Meowth couldn't resist and reluctantly agreed to translate.
Pidgeotto called out again, and Meowth, naturally understanding Pokémon, listened closely. His expression shifted as he translated.
"It said a little girl and another kid were captured by a group of strange people, meow!"
"Who?" Ash asked, pressing for more information. He couldn't think of anyone else who might be around this area.
Pidgeotto cried out again, and Meowth translated. "It says they were wearing uniforms with the Team Rocket logo, meow!" But as soon as Meowth finished speaking, he froze. Wait—wasn't the Team Rocket logo the same as theirs? Meowth suddenly realized something was off.
Ash lifted Meowth a little higher, squinting at him. Meowth's face turned pale as he met Ash's eyes.
Pidgeotto chirped again, and Meowth quickly spoke up. "Meow! You said Jessie and James were also captured by those people?" Meowth hastily translated, inwardly relieved that Pidgeotto had spoken up just in time.
At that moment, Koffing and Ekans, hearing this, showed concerned expressions. After all, Jessie and James were their trainers, and they rushed forward, worried about their safety.
Ash didn't waste another second. He tossed Meowth aside, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. From Pidgeotto's description, it sounded like the enemy had a lot of people. Misty and Brock still had their Pokémon, so it shouldn't have been easy to capture them. If he had to fight and rescue everyone by himself, it wouldn't be simple.
Pika! Pika!
Pikachu, standing nearby, called out to Ash.
"I know, I'll save them." Ash understood Pikachu's message without needing Meowth to translate. Pikachu was urging him to find a way to save everyone quickly. But with his current strength, it would be difficult to both fight and rescue everyone at the same time. He had to come up with a plan.
"Yes! Everyone, come out!" Ash said decisively. He pulled out all his Poké Balls and released his Pokémon, including Eevee. All of them gathered around him.
"Everyone, there's something dangerous I need you to do," Ash began, explaining the plan he had come up with. Meowth, Koffing, and Ekans, still worried about Jessie and James, listened closely to Ash's instructions, realizing that following his plan was their best chance to save their trainers.
After a few moments...
"Do you understand?" After explaining his plan, Ash looked at his Pokémon and asked.
"Koffing!!"
"Ekans Ekans!"
The Pokémon all nodded in response. Though the task was risky, they knew Ash would be in danger as well. Understanding the importance of their mission, they became serious, ready to help him.
"Alright, let's move out."
At Ash's signal, the Pokémon dispersed. As they left, Ash continued forward with Pikachu, allowing Pidgeotto to guide the way. Koffing and Ekans followed the other Pokémon to assist, while Meowth, feeling rather useless, trailed along behind Ash.
Soon, under Pidgeotto's lead, Ash closed in on the location where Team Rocket had captured Misty, Brock, and the others. They were being taken to a hideout deep within the forest.
"You there! If you have any guts, untie me and let's fight!" Jessie shouted, still furious and defiant.
"Hmph! Save your strength. You'll need it when you explain this mess to the boss," Ariana sneered, not bothered by Jessie's outburst. As a higher-ranking member of Team Rocket, Ariana didn't waste her time arguing with someone like Jessie.
Meanwhile, Misty and Brock stayed silent, both feeling a mix of fear and helplessness. They weren't sure whether they wanted Ash to find them or not. On one hand, they hoped for rescue, but on the other, they worried for his safety.
Ariana was strong—far too strong for them to handle. She hadn't needed anyone else's help to defeat them. And even if Ash somehow managed to beat her, the other Rocket members, who had been standing by, would surely gang up on him. No matter how strong Ash was, it would be nearly impossible to take them all on alone.
What they didn't know was that Ash was already nearby. He observed the situation from a hidden vantage point, focusing on the group of Rocket members. There were eleven in total, but his eyes were drawn to the woman in charge—Ariana. She stood out, dressed differently from the others.
"Could this woman be...?" Ash muttered to himself. There weren't many powerful women in Team Rocket, but Ariana's presence was unmistakable. She wasn't someone to be taken lightly. Aside from the likes of Jessie and Cassidy, who were often bumbling, Ariana was in a different league.
"Pidgeotto, go!" Ash whispered, signaling for Pidgeotto to execute the plan. Pidgeotto flew off with determination, while Ash stayed behind, keeping a close eye on Misty, Brock, and Jessie. Misty and Brock remained silent, but Jessie was still ranting furiously.
"You're so noisy! You're not helping at all with your shouting!" Misty finally snapped, irritated by Jessie's endless complaints. It seemed every time they crossed paths with Team Rocket, trouble followed, and Jessie's ranting wasn't making things any better.
Ash gripped his Poké Balls tightly, preparing to make his move...
