"Oh my gosh! What... what is that?" Misty's eyes widened as she saw a huge figure flying towards them in the distance.

*Bang!!!*

The figure kept approaching, and as it drew closer, it became even more massive. It resembled the giant Pokémon that Professor Bill had once seen. Lightning crackled around its body, illuminating its metallic gold feathers. It had two long, sharp beaks, and with every flap of its enormous wings, the air pressure intensified.

"Is it a Pokémon?" Brock squinted, trying to make out its true form, but even he had never seen a Pokémon like this before.

Ash, however, recognized it immediately but was momentarily speechless. It was a Zapdos—one of the Legendary Pokémon—but this one was several times larger than any Zapdos he'd seen before.

But it wasn't the real Zapdos. Somehow, they'd stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Don't worry about it! We need to get out of here!" Ash grabbed his backpack and urged the others.

They quickly followed his lead, abandoning the tent and grabbing only their essentials. As they bolted for safety, Ash reached for his Poké Balls.

"Return, everyone!"

He called back his Pokémon, starting with Pidgeotto. But at that moment, the enormous Zapdos above seemed to take notice of them.

*Crackle!!!*

With a piercing cry, it unleashed a massive bolt of electricity from the sky. The lightning struck the ground in front of them, leaving a smoldering trail of flames.

The bolt was headed straight for them, and before Ash could recall all his Pokémon, the electric attack disrupted the process.

*Boom!!!*

"Ahhh!!!" Misty screamed as the lightning burst with a deafening roar, sending a shockwave through the area. The force blew everyone, including their Pokémon, into the air.

"Pikachu!"

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

Ash scrambled to his feet, desperately trying to reach Pikachu and the others. But before he could get close, Zapdos let out another cry, releasing even more electric currents that shot down in all directions.

Everyone was forced to dodge frantically under the relentless attack.

*Crackle!!!*

Suddenly, another roar echoed from the opposite side. A massive figure appeared, just as large as Zapdos, but with golden feathers engulfed in flames. Brock and Misty were clueless about this new Pokémon, but Ash recognized it—it was Moltres.

Moltres opened its mouth and unleashed a blazing pillar of fire towards the ground, directly in the path of Pikachu and the others. They barely had time to escape.

"Another one? What do we do?" Misty cried, fear in her voice. Ash watched the chaotic scene—Zapdos discharging electricity and Moltres spitting fire—and knew they couldn't get any closer.

"Retreat for now!" Ash glanced at Pidgeotto's Poké Ball, then at the spot where Pikachu had disappeared. With no other option, they had to pull back.

The three retreated as quickly as they could, but Zapdos continued to pursue them. Meanwhile, on the other side, Pikachu and the others were being chased by Moltres.

"It's catching up!" Misty yelled, glancing over her shoulder. Thunder crackled behind them as Zapdos soared through the sky. Running on foot wasn't going to help much against a flying Pokémon.

"There's a cave ahead! Let's hide in there!" Ash shouted, spotting a cave in the distance. Without hesitation, they made a beeline for it, and Misty and Brock followed closely behind. As they dove into the cave, Zapdos's attacks rained down, but after a moment of searching and seeing no sign of them, the Legendary Pokémon finally flew off.

Meanwhile...

*Boom!!!!*

Moltres unleashed a blast of fiery flames at Pikachu and the others. The explosion rocked the ground, and both Pikachu and Eevee were sent flying by the impact. After crashing to the ground, the Pokémon lay still, knocked out from the force.

Seeing no further movement, Moltres, too, flew off into the distance, and silence fell over the island once more. The sky gradually brightened as the sun rose, signaling the end of the long, terrifying night.

*Hush!!!!*

Waves gently lapped against the beach, where a scorched trail led from the shore deep into the forest. On the beach, a pair of ears twitched slightly.

Pikachu stirred and slowly woke from its unconscious state. It looked around but couldn't find Ash or the others. Nearby, Eevee and the rest of the Pokémon began to regain consciousness as well.

Pikachu: *Pika Pika!* (Are you all okay?)

Pikachu hurried over to Charmander and nudged it awake. One by one, the other Pokémon started to stir.

Charmander: *Char!!* (Where are we??)

Eevee: *Vui!* (Who knows!)

Squirtle: *Squirtle?* (What about Ash and the others?)

Axew: *Axew!* (We were attacked too. I'm not sure what's going on now!)

The Pokémon shared their confusion and concern. The previous night had been chaotic, and all they could do was run for their lives. Pikachu, now even more worried, glanced at the sky.

Pikachu: *Pikachu!* (We need to find them fast!)

Squirtle: *Squirtle Squirtle!* (Maybe that giant monster already ate them.)

Charmander: *Char!!* (No way!)

Charmander shivered at Squirtle's words, breaking into a cold sweat. The other Pokémon gave Squirtle a flat look. Despite being tamed by Ash, Squirtle still had a mischievous streak from his days as leader of the Squirtle Squad.

Pikachu: *Pika Pika!!* (Don't talk nonsense. Ash and the others are fine.)

Pikachu scolded Squirtle firmly, and the other Pokémon glared at him in agreement. Embarrassed, Squirtle scratched his head.

Squirtle: *Squirtle Squirtle!* (Just kidding, trying to lighten the mood!)

All Pokémon: (Not funny at all!)
