1 I Actually Became Vision?!
"Where am I?"
Marlee's consciousness slowly woke up.
"Why can't I move my whole body..."
Marlee, an ordinary person from Earth and a veteran otaku, loved nothing more than staying at home and watching Marvel movies over and over again on his 4K big screen. Every time he watched, he couldn't help but get excited, wishing he could bring himself into the story.
"Come on! Beat up that Ugly Purple Titan!"
Marlee was chewing popcorn, standing excitedly on the leather chair, shouting vaguely, cheering for the Avengers.
"It would be great if I became an Avenger. I wouldn't be a botcher teammate like Star-Lord."
Marlee muttered to himself, not taking his eyes off the screen for a second.
Boom--!
"Is it thundering outside?"
Marlee frowned, reluctantly paused the movie, then stood up and closed the window.
"This weather... it was sunny just now..."
Marlee kept complaining, and turned to look at the Marvel figures in his glass cabinet, feeling proud of his collection over the years. Some of them were even out of print in the market. It was hard to find them!
Marlee gently picked up a Vision figure and carefully stroked the red-green-skinned weirdo, "You were so strong when you first appeared, how come you were so weak in Infinity War...?"
He looked at Vision in his hand with regret on his face and raised him high.
Boom--!
Thunder struck.
The sudden loud noise scared Marlee, causing him to let go of Vision, which fell to the ground.
"Ah! My Vision! My out-of-print figure!"
Marlee knelt on the ground, holding Vision's body, which had broken into eight pieces. He couldn't help but feel sad. A few tears fell from the corners of his eyes. He pointed at the sky and shouted in anger.
"You thief, if you have the guts, come at me! Why smash my figurines?"
Boom--!
Before Marlee could finish his words, a bolt of white lightning came straight towards him and struck him resolutely.
"Ah!"
The scream echoed throughout the building.
...
"This framework is incompatible."
"The data set reaches 97%, so you have to upload that schematic within three minutes..."
Someone was talking. Was it a doctor?
Marlee's consciousness gradually woke up. He felt like he was lying in a coffin-like container, in a narrow position with no movement.
"What's wrong with me? I remember being struck by lightning. Could it be that I became a vegetable?!"
Marlee thought sadly. He remembered reading a story about a man who had been lying in bed for over twenty years. He was aware of everything around him but couldn't speak or move. He lay quietly in bed until one day someone discovered he was conscious, and he wrote "I want to die" in that person's hand.
Who would want to lie alone in bed, unable to communicate, with no one to take care of them, and no entertainment, for twenty years?
Marlee now found himself in a state of consciousness but unable to move his body, just like that old man.
"I hope I don't have to lie in bed for twenty years before someone finds me."
He thought sadly, unable to accept this fact.
"You don't know what you're doing..."
"What about you? Are you not controlled by her?"
Suddenly, Marlee felt like there was a quarrel in his ears, but the voices seemed familiar, as if he'd heard them somewhere before.
While several people argued, Marlee suddenly felt as if something had been pulled out of his body.
This was followed by the sound of a gunshot and breaking glass.
"Gunshots? Why are there gunshots in the hospital?"
Marlee thought in horror. Could he have been sent abroad for treatment?
"I won't be unlucky enough to meet some brainless robber robbing the hospital, right?"
"Pietro!"
At this moment, a screaming female voice reached his ears.
"Pietro? This female voice is so familiar. It sounds like a movie voice. Is someone showing a movie in the hospital?"
Marlee thought blankly, and suddenly, he felt as if his fingers could move.
"Hey! I'm okay!"
He thought in surprise but made no next move.
Suddenly, a strong flow of information rushed into Marlee's brain, almost putting his brain on standby.
"This is..."
He looked at the scene in his mind in horror. Countless nuclear weapons flew into the sky and spread all over the world. Almost instantly, the entire world was devastated. Billions of lives perished before his eyes, whether they were animals, plants, or humans.
The entire world entered a nuclear winter, with no life left.
"Boom!"
Marlee's whole body felt an intense heat, and he couldn't help but moan with relief, but no sound came out.
A dazzling white light leaked into his closed eyelids, accompanied by the piercing sound of electricity, as if countless lightning bolts were gathering on his body and pouring into him.
Thor looked nervously at the training warehouse in front of him, where the weird-looking robot lay quietly.
Click-
The glass cover of the training chamber suddenly shattered, and the figure inside jumped out, taking Thor's body flying and falling heavily to the ground.
The weirdo stood on top of the cultivation warehouse in a strange posture, with his metallic body squatting half-crouched in front of everyone, and the yellow gem on his forehead shining brightly, giving off an impenetrable mysterious quality.
Everyone looked at the sudden appearance of the weirdo with vigilance, and the weirdo also looked at them.
Until he stopped his eyes on Thor, as if he saw something exciting, he suddenly flew towards Thor.
"Um?!"
Thor looked at the weirdo coming towards him warily and, with a strong movement of his hands, threw him away, smashing through the glass of the laboratory, and stopping in front of the glass of the building.
Captain America jumped behind the weirdo with a big leap but was stopped by Thor, signaling him not to act rashly.
Everyone watched the next performance in silence with a strange atmosphere. At the same time, they all became secretly vigilant and ready to take action if needed.
Marlee stared blankly at his unfamiliar reflection in the glass. The strange red and green colors with metallic stripes, and the yellow gem on his forehead, flashed but failed to attract Marlee's attention.
He touched the glass gently, with a trace of confusion in his eyes. Three voices alternated in his head, finally converging into one indifferent voice.
He opened his mouth.
"I'm Vision!"
---
Marlee stared blankly at the figure reflected in the glass. He touched his face suspiciously, and sure enough, the figure in the glass did the same.
No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't believe that he had been struck by lightning and transmigrated, and into the Marvel Universe, no less.
The most important thing was that he had transmigrated into a man who died twice - Vision!
"Unbelievable!"
He gently touched his face, and it felt cold and smooth...
Looking at the bustling city outside the glass, the lights were bright and dazzling.
Avengers Tower was full of cars and lights.
Marlee silently admired all of this. It was indeed New York, known as the center of the Marvel.
Behind Marlee, Thor quietly put down Mjölnir but did not dare to take a step away from Vision. The rest of the team quickly came down from the laboratory and saw Marlee admiring the beautiful scenery.
No one dared to act rashly, not even the arrogant Tony. Who knew whether the guy who had just appeared was an enemy or a friend, or what his abilities were. What if he was opposed to that madman Ultron? Any action could increase casualties.
After all, they were not transmigrators, nor were they spectators. They did not have the ability to foresee the future. They could only stare at Marlee with vigilance. If he showed the slightest anti-human tendency, a few heavily armed individuals could take him down at any time.
But this was just their wishful thinking; Vision was not so easy to take down.
Marlee slowly turned his head and couldn't help but let out a long sigh in his heart. It seemed that he couldn't go back, so he should make peace with it now that he was here.
He landed slowly, his feet touching the ground. This feeling was no different from when he was still a human. It seemed that Ultron's technology was ahead of Earth in his previous life by who knows how many centuries, or two worlds. The level of science and technology was really not comparable.
"I'm sorry, I'm just feel... a little... weird..."
Marlee said with apologetic eyes. He was extremely familiar with the upcoming plot, but just in case, it was better for him to follow the script first.
It would be a bad thing if the butterfly inadvertently flapped its wings and stirred up a storm that changed the direction of the future.
"Thank you."
Marlee solemnly thanked Thor. If he hadn't instilled the power of thunder into his body, it was doubtful whether he would have woken up.
Marlee quietly glanced at Thor's cloak. He unconsciously used the power of the Mind Stone, and a golden cloak slowly appeared behind him.
It wasn't because of anything else; he just thought the golden cloak was more handsome.
"Thor, you helped create him?" Captain America, Steve Rogers, asked with disbelief on his face.
"I had a hallucination. A vortex swept away all hope of life, and the center of this vortex was him." Thor nervously pointed at Marlee, or to be precise, he pointed at the Mind Stone on Marlee's head.
"It is the Mind Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones. It possesses the most powerful power in the universe, and its ability to destroy will be unparalleled."
"Then why are you..."
"Because Stark is right," Thor said seriously, "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."
Marlee acquiesced to Thor's statement. Without the existence of Vision, it would be difficult for the Avengers to be Ultron's opponent, but if Vision fell into Ultron's hands...
Marlee couldn't help but shudder, thinking of the desperate universe in the "What If" series.
"Why does he sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked, frowning.
"A new product generated because we restructured Jarvis's program..." Tony stepped up and answered the captain's questions.
"You guys be wary of me," Marlee said calmly, "Do you think I am the son of Ultron?"
"Aren't you?" Steve asked.
"I'm not Ultron, I'm not Jarvis, I'm just... myself," Marlee said, a little confused. In fact, he wasn't sure who he was now. His brain was a supercomputer containing quite some data of Ultron and Jarvis.
But he had a mind .
But due to the effect of the Mind Stone, he had emotions, just like a real human being, even though Marlee was a real human before.
But he isn't now.
Marlee looked around at the Avengers. The vigilance in their eyes had not dissipated, and there was extremely deep hostility hidden in their eyes.
That look was like looking at... Ultron.
Marlee felt inexplicably sad and felt sorry for himself.
"I saw extinction in your brain." Wanda stepped forward and looked at Marlee with bright eyes, but fortunately, Barton stepped forward to rescue him.
"Her opinion never mattered."
"Their power, their inner fears, and Ultron himself all come from the Mind Stone. Compared with the energy it releases, everything else is insignificant."
Thor explained to everyone with a solemn expression.
"If he is on our side..."
"Wait..." Steve interrupted Thor's chatter and looked at Marlee with an extremely serious expression, "Are you on our side?"
As soon as these words came out, all the Avengers locked their eyes on Marlee, and their expressions were equally solemn. Marlee saw suspicion, vigilance, and doubt in their eyes...
Marlee suddenly felt an inexplicable pressure. He had wanted to fight side by side with the Avengers countless times in the real world, imagining that he would become a great hero, save countless lives, and be loved by the people.
But in just a few minutes after he came into this world, he was subject to more suspicion than he had been in the past twenty years combined.
He had never felt that his brain could analyze so quickly, and he had never felt that his heartbeat could be heard anymore.
"I..." Marlee opened his mouth, but what came to his mind was the tragic future that Vision would suffer. He was killed by his beloved woman, and his forehead was cut open by Thanos. Even after death, he would be dissected by the people of S.W.O.R.D and become a human weapon.
Marlee hesitated. He wanted to stand on the side of humans and face the difficulties in the future with the Avengers, but... are these humans really worth it?
If he were a native of this world, if he really was Vision, he might actually do this.
Unfortunately, he is not.
"I stand on my own side," Marlee said calmly, "I also stand on the side of life."
"You mean you are higher than life?"
"On the contrary, Captain," Marlee looked at Steve's eyes without a trace of dodge, "I think that I am life itself, not some artificial intelligence. I am different from them, and different from Ultron and Jarvis . I..."
"I am more human!"

003 Meeting with the Ancient One
As soon as Marlee spoke, the surroundings fell completely silent.
"Wait a minute, a robot actually said he was a human being." Barton shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I can't believe you. Tony's idea is completely wrong."
"He is not wrong," Marlee interrupted Barton. "He saw the future, saw the Avengers' tragic defeat, and saw the death of his comrades. You, Dr. Banner, Captain, and even Thor will all die!"
Marlee continued excitedly, "Ultron's purpose is to destroy all planets with life. We need to stop him, and only we can stop him."
"Ultron is waiting for you. Natasha is in his hands. He is in Sokovia."
"How do you know that?" Barton questioned.
"Because I also saw the future," Marlee pointed to the gem with yellow light shining on his finger, "It allowed me to see Ultron's thoughts."
"But..." Dr. Banner stepped forward, rubbing his hands and looking a little uneasy. "If we believe you are wrong, if you are a demon created by Ultron..."
"Then what will happen to you?" Marlee stared at everyone, and several of them fell silent.
Marlee chuckled inwardly, clearly, he also got the answer.
"My subjective mind tells me not to kill Ultron."
The Avengers immediately became vigilant upon hearing this.
"He is in pain, but his pain will be passed on to Earth, so we must kill him and remove all traces he left in this world: the army of robots he created, all traces of him on the Internet..."
"We must act as soon as possible. His strength is beyond our imagination. It is impossible for a single Avenger to defeat him."
Marlee looked at Steve and said softly, "Together..."
Steve's eyes softened when he looked at Marlee.
"Maybe you look at me like I'm a devil, or maybe I am because I'm different from you..."
Marlee turned around and walked slowly to Thor's side.
"So we must act..."
He picked up Mjölnir, which was on the table, and handed it to Thor.
Everyone's eyes changed instantly, staring in disbelief at Marlee's movements and the hammer in his hand. Only those with good nature and a sense of justice can be recognized by Mjölnir and pick it up.
Among the many Avengers, even the Hulk, who is known as the strongest, and Tony, who carried a nuclear bomb through a wormhole, couldn't shake it. Even Steve only made it tremble.
The robot in front of them actually picked up Mjölnir with ease, which shocked everyone.
Thor took Mjölnir in his hand blankly. Seeing everyone's surprised looks, Marlee knew he had succeeded in his plan.
He left the scene without a word, leaving the Avengers to figure out what to do. The rest had nothing to do with him.
"Ultron... Thanos... Wanda..."
Marlee read these names lightly. These three will be extremely difficult enemies in the future, even Wanda, Vision's lover.
Ultron is the simplest and easiest to solve among the three. After all, his performance in the movie is indeed limited. He tried to lift the entire Sokovia and then let it fall to Earth to achieve his goal of destroying the planet.
Marlee couldn't help but complain every time he saw this. Ultron, an artificial intelligence that can hack into bank accounts in one second and roam freely in the online world, resorted to such a method that lacked technical content. It would be better if Ultron had stolen the nuclear bomb codes. He's too pompous , trying to imitate dinosaur extinction.
Marlee didn't feel that Ultron was a threat at this time. Although many people died in Sokovia, they were all within control. Compared to the Infinite War that followed, it was nothing at all. It was not even as shocking as the Battle of New York, where the alien invasion was much more interesting than the AI rebellion.
"Thanos..." Marlee rubbed his non-existent temples. This monster truly gave him a headache. A cosmic overlord who could crush Vibranium with just his body, who pressed Hulk to the ground and beat him, even the three giants of the Avengers were unable to fight back against him.
Marlee looked at his Vibranium body and silently estimated his chances of fighting Thanos in his prime.
He knew that in a certain universe, Ultron could cut Thanos in half with just the laser fired by the Mind Stone. But after all, there are differences between universes. Who knows if he would be short-circuited by Corvus Glaive's knife.
"You still have to find a way to improve your strength."
As Marlee walked, he suddenly felt that the surrounding environment was wrong. The Avengers Building, which was originally full of technology, turned into a shabby library.
Marlee looked at the changing scene in front of him, and a name suddenly popped into his mind.
"The Ancient One?!"
"Welcome, Vision, may I call you by this name?"
Marlee flew up instantly, with his golden cloak flying behind him. He saw a bald woman wearing a white monk's robe, reading an ancient book. She asked Marlee without raising her head.
"Perhaps you can tell me your name, visitor from another world."
The Ancient One slowly closed the book in her hand, with a mysterious smile on her face.
"The Ancient One?!"
Marlee unconsciously called out the woman's name.
"It seems you are truly a traveller who disrupts time and space," The Ancient One slowly turned around, and the scene around him suddenly changed again. Marlee clearly remembered this was the place where Strange met the Ancient One for the first time.
The Ancient One sat quietly behind the coffee table. The tea on the table was still emitting a hazy mist. "Then Mr. Vision, would you like a bowl of tea?"
"I'm a robot and can't consume human food," Marlee said, "At least not for now."
"That's truly a pity." The Ancient One shook her head as if she were really sorry and quietly tasted the fragrant tea. She looked exactly like the old man Marlee saw at the gate of the community in his previous life.
"I don't seem to have provoked you, so why do you have to personally deal with me, a baby who was just born ten minutes ago?"
Marlee pretended to be calm and spoke. The Ancient One's strength was not clearly shown in the movie, but there was no doubt she was a powerhouse at the Sky-Father( God Kings) level.
In a hypothetical world, the Ancient One could cross the gap in the universe and project herself into Dormammu's world, and Strange could not catch her with just this move.
Of course, if the Ancient One were serious about dealing with him, it would not take much effort. She could completely exile him to other universes or clear his consciousness and let the original Vision return...
Marlee was unsure what the Ancient One was going to do, so he kept a distance and was ready to escape through the roof if there was any movement.
---
"Don't be so vigilant, I have no ill intentions towards you." The Ancient One blew on the hot tea in her hand, and the blurry mist made Marlee unable to see her face clearly.
"Since more than ten minutes ago, I have discovered that the future is a mess. Even if I use the Eye of Agamotto to observe the future, the result is the same." When the Ancient One said this, her eyes suddenly stared at Marlee.
"So I observed ten million futures and compared them with the initial future trajectory." The Ancient One stood up, walked slowly in front of Marlee, raised her head, and looked at him with an indifferent expression. There was a more serious look in her eyes.
"I discovered that the root of all this is from the moment you were born, everything in the future has changed."
"The future itself is always uncertain..." Marlee tried to argue, but was interrupted by the Ancient One.
"Do you know why I'm so sure it's you?" The Ancient One smiled, and this smile made Marlee feel a little chilled down his spine.
Suddenly, the Ancient One took action in an instant and slapped Marlee on the chest, pushing him staggering back a few steps. An almost transparent figure emerged from Marlee's body.
"This is..." Marlee lowered his head and looked at his transparent hands in disbelief.
Boom!
Vision's body fell down, and the Mind Stone on his forehead became much darker at this moment, while Marlee was floating in the air in the form of his soul.
"So this is who you are, a Human soul?" The Ancient One said in a somewhat surprised tone, circling around Marlee's soul, her eyes full of inquiry, as if she wanted to study this extraterrestrial visitor.
Upon seeing this, Marlee quickly floated to a place with a mirror. Unfortunately, the soul had no shadow. He had no choice but to lower his head and look at the clothes on his body. They were still the ones he was wearing when he was struck by lightning.
"Then what do you want, send me back?" Marlee collected himself and asked in a calm tone. He knew that even if the other party was the Ancient One, the current Sorcerer Supreme, she would not be able to send him back to his original world.
"I have no choice," the Ancient One shook her head as expected and announced the news with regret on her face.
Marlee was a little disappointed when he heard this, but only a little. He was helpless in the original world and had very few interpersonal relationships. He only had three or two friends, and they were not in the same place.
Rather than return to his original world, he wants to stay here and live as a hero.
"Maybe you have a way, but you don't know it yet."
"Whenever I choose to observe your future, there is an inexplicable force that stops me. It even resists the power of the Eye of Agamotto and forcibly pulls me back to reality."
When the Ancient One said this, her tone couldn't help but become solemn. Someone could completely block her, and with the time gem, even the Celestials couldn't do it. This reminded her of the higher observers and Abstract entities.
After all, the Ancient One did not show that worry on her face, "I can't interfere with your future, so I hope you can be safe and stable and not block the original development trajectory of this universe."
Her tone was extremely serious, and her expression was unprecedentedly solemn.
"Once any uncontrollable danger occurs, it may cause irreversible harm to the universe."
"Do you understand?"
After listening to the Ancient One's words, Marlee floated there silently, lowering his head and saying nothing. He was thinking about what he could do for the future, what he could change, and what he could make up for.
Marlee suddenly raised his head and opened his mouth to speak.
"You mean to let me go through Vision's original life trajectory, wait peacefully until Thanos' army comes to Earth, and then wait for death?"
The Ancient One frowned and did not dare to agree with Marlee's words, but also did not deny it.
"Everything has its own meaning. Changing it without authorization is probably..."
"What if I don't?"
"?"
"I said, what will happen to me if I want to live my life according to my own wishes instead of the so-called predetermined destiny?"
Marlee floated in front of the Ancient One, and the two were very close, almost leaning against each other. His eyes were extremely sad, which inexplicably made people feel the trembling of their souls.
The Ancient One looked into his eyes and remained silent for a long time.
The two stared at each other for a long time, until the Ancient One moved her eyes and smiled helplessly.
"Forget it, things in the future are uncontrollable. Your arrival may be sent by some great god to save the crisis."
The Ancient One made up a lie that she didn't even believe to comfort the boy in front of her.
She waved her hand gently, and the body of Vision, who had fallen on the ground, gradually flew up and floated to Marlee's position, and their figures gradually overlapped.
Vision's closed eyes suddenly opened, and the Mind Stone on his forehead shone brightly again.
"I respect your choice, outsider." The Ancient One gently placed her hand on Marlee's chest, "I can't interfere with the future, but you can... So... please leave everything to me. is you..."
Her eyes were extremely clear, and her tone was unprecedentedly sincere. It was hard to imagine that the Earth's Sorcerer Supreme and sky father-level powerhouse was actually asking for help from a guy who was not even a human being at this moment.
Marlee was flattered by these sudden words. He covered the Ancient One's hand and nodded solemnly, "I will, and I will protect the future of the Earth."
"That's good," the Ancient One withdrew her hand with a relaxed expression, "Your friends can't wait any longer, and the supper time is over here."
The Ancient One waved her hand, and under Marlee's surprised gaze, a circle of sparkling light slowly appeared next to it. It was the portal she opened, and inside, this was what the inside of the Avengers Tower looked like.
"Do you still want me to say 'please'?" The Ancient One said jokingly.
Marlee still had that serious expression. Maybe he was making other expressions, but the emotions that the robot could express were really lacking.
"You haven't answered my question yet." Marlee didn't leave in a hurry. He really needed an answer. "What will happen to me if I don't act according to my destiny?"
"Don't be so entangled, child." The Ancient One didn't expect that this person was still a stubborn species. "There are countless parallel universes with countless development possibilities. Your destiny depends on you to save it, not me."
"If you have any trouble, you can come to me."
Marlee glanced at the Ancient One meaningfully, "My fate is up to me, right?"
He walked into the portal and silently looked at the brightly lit scenery outside the glass, thinking about what the Ancient One just said.
"Am I really pulled in by some great god? Then what is his purpose? What role should I play?"
Countless questions really overloaded his supercomputer-like brain.
The Ancient One looked at Marlee leaving and secretly lamented the child's stubbornness.
She suddenly raised her head, and her dark pupils seemed to have passed through many obstacles, directly staring at the vast universe, and she muttered something.
"No matter who you are, what you are , this universe cannot be your plaything."
The Ancient One smiled, and she thought of the last of the ten million futures. A man in a golden cloak led the Avengers, facing a huge body of heightof tens of thousands of meters, with perseverance in his eyes. Even though his body was covered with bruises, he still wouldn't take a step back.
"I trust you, child, and I hope you don't betray my trust."
