Chapter 7 - The Binding Contract

As the contract between Leon and Flora was performed, a chain linking their souls became visible to Leon. He observed a half-moon symbol forming on their right hands, glowing red as they completed the ritual.

Leon asked Flora, "How should we get out of here?"

Flora responded, "Did I not tell you I was contacting my old house?"

Leon, recalling their earlier conversation, said, "Oh, you did say that. But how do you contact your family like this?"

Flora showed him a red crystal in her hand and explained, "This is a crystal given to me by my grandfather when I was little. He should be sending his people to pick me up."

Leon, observing the red crystal, asked, "What is this red crystal? How do you even communicate with it?"

Flora answered, "This crystal can send a message to the person you want to contact. It will send a signal to my grandfather, letting him know that I need help."

Leon was puzzled. "But you said you were out of your family. How can you be sure your grandfather will come to help you?"

Flora replied with confidence, "Although I am out of the family, I still maintain contact with my grandfather, who has always been very kind to me. I am sure he will come to help. This crystal is my last resort. If he doesn't come, there is no way we can get out of here."

Leon, still uncertain, asked, "You also said you were accused of killing your master. Do you think your grandfather will help you with that?"

Flora, with a determined expression, said, "Yes. When that incident happened, my grandfather was on the battlefield defending against the Conquerors who wanted to conquer this world. He didn't have time to come and help me then, but if he had, he would have. Now that he knows, he will help me."

Leon, with a concerned look, asked, "You also said the royal family was involved in your master's death. How can the royal family tolerate your grandfather helping you? Won't they imprison you again?"

Flora looked at Leon confidently. "No, that won't happen. Even if the royal family pressures my grandfather, they cannot act against him. He is the greatest swordsman in this kingdom, and they fear his sword will turn against them. Also, not all members of the royal family are against my grandfather."

Leon nodded, taking in her words. "What should we do now? We have a lot of time before your grandfather arrives."

As he spoke, he remembered something from the battlefield when Flora had transformed. He wanted to ask about it, but before he could, a large spacecraft landed nearby.

An old man in a butler's outfit emerged from the spacecraft, followed by other maids. They approached Flora and knelt down to show their respect.

Flora took a step forward and said, "Rise from the ground."

As they stood, Flora addressed the old butler. "How are you doing, Arnold?"

Arnold's eyes moistened at the sight of Flora. She had always been considerate and just, standing up for what was right. Seeing her now, he was overcome with emotion, remembering the old days. He didn't want to show his tears, wishing to appear strong for her.

Flora noticed his hesitation and said, "Arnold, please take my brother Gus over there, who is sleeping on the rock."

Arnold was surprised to see Gus. He had been missing since the day Flora was imprisoned. He had always been by her side, but on that fateful day, he had disappeared.

Arnold quickly composed himself and responded, "Yes, my lady." He motioned for the other maids to help him.

As they moved towards Gus, Leon couldn't help but ask, "Flora, what happened to Gus? How did he end up here?"

Flora sighed, her eyes reflecting a mix of sadness and determination. "Gus was always with me, supporting me in everything. But the day I was betrayed and imprisoned, he vanished. I feared the worst. Now I see he was under Levi's control. It breaks my heart to see him like this, but I will do everything in my power to restore him."

Leon nodded, understanding the weight of her words. "We'll get through this, Flora. Together."

Flora smiled at him, grateful for his support. "Thank you, Leon. I believe we will."

Arnold and the maids carefully lifted Gus and brought him to the spacecraft. Flora and Leon followed, boarding the ship that would take them to Flora's family and, hopefully, to the answers and justice they sought.
