Standing outside the door the following morning, Bao Wei awaited his boss's approval to enter. He let out a weary sigh, appearing pale and exhausted. It was evident from the thick black circles beneath his eyes.
"At this rate, my funeral is not far away," he whispered to himself as the door swung open. He walked in to find the man from last night, Lee Yi getting dressed with the help of a maid. He had wet raven hair that dripped down with water leading it to slide down his jaw. He had a wide-open shirt deep revealing his bare chest, having prominent six-packs with a v-line. You can tell Lee Yi worked out because of his physique. He was wearing pants with an unsecured belt. As Lee Yi buttoned up his shirt, the maid stood to the side and gave him the suit jacket to wear.
"Hmm?" Lee Yi whispered under his breath as Bao Wei adjusted his spectacles; the poor guy was getting into the habit now, what with all the stress.
As Lee Yi briskly clasped a watch onto his hand, Bao Wei fixed his gaze on him.
"Boss, the bodyguards sent by the Bai group are here".
Once Lee Yi finished getting dressed, he turned around to confront Bao Wei. He smiled as he looked at Bao Wei.
"I see! We should get going to greet them, where are they?", Lee Yi had a delightful smile laced on his lips as he spoke so. Bao Wei frowned at that in disgust, his boss whom he had been together with for so long was a mastermind, he portrayed himself as a gentleman, sweet as a rabbit but in truth, he was a cold-blooded snake.
When he first met Lee Yi, he used to be his true self, cold and crazy but after years he became more cunning and an expert in manipulation. His smile was the weapon that he used against many others. This was his way of how he fought his way to a higher position, becoming the family head.
Bao Wei still clearly remembers when he worked for Lee Yi's father, who made him work wild but his son? He has his work in the same manner; the only difference is that he enjoys it here. Unlike when he worked with Lee Yi, his father was another thing, Bao Wei was treated horrendously with the rough treatment that he got. For the chance to stop Lee Yi's father, he was willing to collaborate with Lee Yi.
The immense hardship that Lee Yi endured shaped him into the person he is today. Bao Wei, who was already following his boss out the door, shook his head and told himself to not think about the past.
Lee Yi walked down the stairs of his mansion to come face to face with a woman. Everything came to a halt the second their gazes met. For some reason, the woman's eyes beam with love and warmth. As he looked into her eyes, Lee Yi was perplexed. There was an air of complete enchantment as she fixed her gaze on him. The moment their gazes met, time stood still. Unable to tear his eyes away from the woman's eyes, Lee Yi turned his attention to the other two men who accompanied her. In contrast to the diminutive woman, both men were towering figures. These men looked like bodyguards but the woman? She was something else.
He forced himself to look away from the woman, but he could still feel her intense gaze on him. As if penetrating his very being, she fixed her intense gaze on him. He felt this weird feeling with the woman's attention. Bao Wei walked down after to see his boss being stared at by the woman who came along as the bodyguard.
Upon seeing Lee Yi averting his gaze from the woman, Bao Wei glanced at both her and his boss. He was taken aback because, in his experience, women who approached his boss were never doing it for the right reasons. His boss attracted women for his looks, power, money etc. The thing that they all had in common was their tricks to get the boss, acting shy was more ladylike for them unlike this woman, who is bluntly staring at his boss. Also, some women who did stare never had pure intentions, their stare was full of lust nothing else. This woman is different, her stare is full of love and warmth. Bao Wei was shaken for a second there because of that.
Bao Wei looked at her with curiosity, a woman being able to turn his sly cunning boss into a normal man, is shocking but interesting most of all. His boss who always had a smile plastered looked perplexed right this moment. He averted his eyes which he never did, his boss always said 'Eye contact is strength, often used to scare someone but also to show control over them', well who was showing control now? A laugh escaped Bao Wei as he strolled down to his boss's side.

My gaze was fixed on Lee Yi the moment my eyes graced his being. Soft raven hair that seemed a little wet, a tight suit that hugged his body and sharp eyes that made me lost in a maze. His whole being was so holy in my eyes. His descent from the stairs caught my attention, and I could not help but follow closely behind. The admiration I had in my eyes could be seen by anyone except me. As he neared me, my pulse rate increased. Was I in love? No! Or was I? It was hard to tell.
Early morning, I woke up and spent hours getting dressed just to wear black jeans, a black shirt and a leather jacket. Looking at myself in all black, I could already tell that I looked very gothic. However, I had no time to change so I went with it. I gave myself a good long look in the mirror to make sure I was satisfied.
I could not help but smile at Lee Yi right now, even though my mouth was tightly sealed in a frown. Even now, I can not bring myself to smile because I can not shake the original owner's character. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to do it. So I just stared at him without a smile but with my eyes.
He stood in front of me, looking at my men while I was lost in a daze. He muttered something but it was inaudible to me as I was hypothesized by Lee Yi. He was talking to my men when Bao Wei walked down the stairs to give me a friendly smile. I froze at that moment, Bao Wei was said to be a stern person but he was smiling at me.
My eyes widened at that thought as I averted them to look back at Lee Yi. Just as I glanced at him, our eyes made contact together, interlocked into one. Before I could stare more, he spoke, "You are?"
I stopped in motion as I pointed to myself, Me?was he talking to me? He nodded at that.
"Uh", I cleared my throat as a grim voice came out, no!! I didn't want to sound cold and distant, "I am the bodyguard sent by the Bai group to protect the family head", I glimpsed at the two men at my side as they looked concerned for me, why? Did I miss something here?? Not only that Lee Yi also gave me weird looks! Weird?
I looked straight at him, as I realized how he may have perceived me as a weak woman compared to my men. "I am their leader, the closest person to the Bai family head, who has sent me to protect the Lee family head". It baffled me how I uttered nonsense all of a sudden in tension. Am I going to ruin my first impression in front of Lee Yi? Noo!!
Lee Yi and Bao Wei just stared at me as I recognized how I just literally screamed out my words in Lee Yi's face. The two poor men on my side just stared at their poor embarrassed boss. I felt my cheeks blush in embracement however it was only noticed by me since on my frozen face a blush would seem impossible to be.
I noticed Bao Wei whispering to Lee Yi while I tried to get over my embarrassment. I hoped Bao Wei was not whispering negative things about me, as I just stared at the two in a daze.

Bao Wei leaned close to Lee Yi as he whispered to him about the 'staring woman' who seemed a bit too humorous to him, "Boss what do you think about this woman who is their leader?"
Lee Yi chuckled at that, he glanced at the woman who looked perplexed, even with her expressionless face he could still read her emotions written in her eyes. Over the years, Lee Yi had learnt to be able to read people easily, either from their expressions or the way they expressed themselves. He used this to identify his target's nature and way of behaviour. When he was fighting for the position of the family head in the rubbish Lee family, he had to use various measures to keep his enemies at the end of his hands so that they wouldn't come closer to him and harm him. The danger that lurked around him always made him immune enough from all people. Made him used to hatred in people's eyes, and lust in women's eyes but love in one's eyes? No..never...
He refused to make eye contact with the woman before especially because he knew what her eyes showed. Love and warmth that he never got, he feared it but it also made him curious, this woman made him interested and curious. She said she was the leader. A warm leader who looks harmless, well he can test that soon enough anyway.
"Let her be, we can know later on if she is the leader in truth or not". Lee Yi spoke as he stared at the woman who was now looking at the men beside her, a smirk was curled up his lips.
Bao Wei sighed as he smiled, after so long something interesting was happening, at least he could be free from the heavy workload on the chance his boss was busy playing with this woman as his new target. Well, what new things would she bring to his boss? Bao Wei wondered.
"When the eyes met, the souls melted, the hearts touched to all become one in the end".
