As the carriage continued on its way to the capital of the holy empire Noah sat in the carriage simply confused. ' I thought maybe 300 years passed but if the world has changed this much and if everything changed this much then it has to be at least 800 years'. Noah then though about the curse he placed and realized that if the curse is still in effect then the strongest individuals would be S rank and there wouldn't even be that many.
' If that much time has truly passed then it's safe to say that the rest of the demons are probably extinct'. His Tait was shadow magic and he was the greatest user of shadow magic even before he became the demon king. To become the demon king the strongest member of the royal family at the time must go the the centre of Monstra where the the throne of the first king lies and spill some blood there.
As the demon king you are able to control miasma and you gain another power that is unique to the person.' My brother gained the ability to absorb and control fear which allowed him to grow strong but eventually led to his collapse', Furthermore with a demon king the demon race grows stronger and they are able to have many children with other races which was used as a loophole to the fact that female demons can only have one child.
' The royal family all died that day we were killed by the humans which means demon kind simply dwindled to extinction but there should be knowledge and information about them'.
Eventually time passed and the carriage had finally arrived to greshia the capital of the light empire and the place where Noah can grow stronger.
The capital was a place filled with light and scattered with different runes on every building to maintain the light. The buldings were made of pure white stone which made them look like pillars of light. There were also warriors everywhere ready to defend from anything and to protect from all crime.
The people of the empire believed in the god of light and believed that the saint is his apostle which is why he was treated so well." Kid you will be staying in the largest temple the holy cathedral which is also the temple where the pope stays.
While it is called an empire the light empire is run by the light church and the emperor has always been a figurehead. The emperor believed in the church of light and was one of its leaders under the pope.
AS the carriage continued he finally reached the cathedral where he would be staying and it was large. It had which bricks like all the other buildings but had gold printing decorating the entire area and had it's windows stained many different colors which made it breathtaking, but not to noah.
' This it's all disgusting, there isn't any black anywhere in this city, is this really how a city is meant to look. Is this really how I'll be living in this world.' HE got off the carriage and entered the cathedral and what he saw were multiple giant praying areas that could fit 40,000 seated worshipers and 120,000 standing. This wasn't even all as he passed by the worhsiping area he saw a massive hallway that lead to different rooms where the bishops would stay.
He then saw the pope meeting hall which held the same position of a throne room and had the same purpose. It was the place the pope resided and where any problems would be reported to him. He entered the area with loyd and they both bowed to the pope.
" your holiness the pope, I stand before you with his holiness the saint". Everyone bowed down the second they heard that not batting an eye as to whether or not he was lying. The pope then stood up and walked towards Noah.
He wore a large white and golden robe with the symbol of light onto it and the mana he possessed seemed to be of S rank. ' hmm he's weak the pope from my era was SSS rank 4 and the saint was above SSS rank'. The saint of Vindicta's era was the second strongest individual alive right behind vindicta and they had both battled multiple times with Vindicta winning each fight.' Ah Hightorn has the legacy you passed on fallen as hard as my legacy"
The pope was an old man who seemed to be on his last legs and had eyes that were filled with worry. " everyone with the newest saint being our most recent saint since the passing of lord Highthorn 1000 years ago some problems might arise"' huh, what's happening, the last saint was high thorn and Highthorn was alive when I had passed which means it has been at least 1000 years.'
" the new successor for the holy empire will be the saint, I take it no one has any objections" everyone except one person agreed with the saint. A man who seemed to be a bishop based on what he wore stood up to speak on the matter. " sir how will the emperor react to this news". " what are you talking about"
" everyone knows the current empire will die soon that means his son who is a non believer will become the new empire so how will he react to the news that his family won't have any authority over this empire"
" in the past the pope wasn't in charge of the empire and was simply in charge of only the church while the emperor ruled the empire under the saint but after the saint passed and no new saint was born, the popes had taken up the saints position which means with the new saint the pope will be in charge of the empire under the saint"
" if need be this will become a federation under the saint" Everyone in the room backed up none speaking against him. The meeting had ended and everyone had left the room when the saint muttered something under his breath"The true problem is the crown princes son who while only 6 is the son of medusa the queen of the dark, this will be a problem you will deal with noah"
Noah had finally arrived in his room and his days of training had began. Every day he would begin training and receiving history lessons which made him learn that it has been 1200 years since his death. He also learnt that there is no mention of monstra at all.
It mentions how up until 400 years ago the demons had a massive empire that stretched the four continents not mentioning monstra that had continued to decline with no demon king. It also mentioned the last descendants of the demons being the demonlings a race of creatures that had horns resembling demons but an insane birthrate and an average strength of C rant. The other descendant of demons is a specific house with their leader being a person known as medusa.
Eventually time passed and noah was now 13, he could feel that his demonic power was about to awaken.
