Chapter 1 - First day of school

Violet woke up feeling somewhat groggy and disoriented. After several blinks to clear her sleepy eyes, she reached for my phone to check the time cause, her alarm didn't go off.

"Fuck" she cursed out loud.

'This can't be happening' she thought! she was running late! Vi was supposed to be at school by seven thirty at most and that is when fate decided she would wake up.

Vi frantically scrambled to get out of bed and get dressed but, everything was just going wrong. All her socks were mismatched, and her hairbrush seams to be missing.

'This is just not my day' she further thought to myself.

A while later, her mom came banging on the door,

"Hurry up Violet! You are going to be later for school" Violet could hear her mom's voice echo through the house.

Rushing around, she spots Apollo, wagging his tail excitedly, clearly oblivious to the chaos, and just wants to play.

"Sorry Apollo, there is no time to play" She said scratching his back comfortingly.

As Vi got ready, she couldn't help but think about what her new classmates will be like. Will they be nice? Will they like me? She was feeling kinda nervous and her stomach were in knots. After a brief moment of running around and trying to putting her things in order, she finally dashed out the door, with her bag slung over her shoulder and her heart pounding.

' I wonder what today will be like!.'

Vi realised that she had already missed the bus, so her only option was to look for a cab. But since it was a rush hour, and the streets are packed with cars which were not willing to stop. After many failed attempt to stop a cab, panic started to rise.

'I'm about to be late for my first day of school!.'

Panic started to rise and she ran down the street, frantically waving her arms and trying to get someone's attention. But it was hopeless, and she started to feel like she might cry. As if things couldn't get any worse, the skies open up and it starts pouring rain. Water was dripping down her face and her clothes, soaked.

"God please let me see a cab heading my way" Vi silently prayed

As if God heard her prayers, she spots a cab a few blocks away, and sprinted towards it. The rain is blinding and her hair, plastered to her head did not help, but. she has to get to school! Violet waves her arms frantically, trying to get the cab to stop. But, it keeps driving. Just as she was about to give up hope, the cab slows down and pulls to the curb. Rushing towards the, she opened it, and sank into the back seat breathless. The driver looks at her curiously, but she didn't mind and just told him her destination. As the cab pulls away, she lets out a sigh of relief.

'Finally, I'm on my way to school!'

Just when she thought things couldn't get any worse, she arrives at school to find that the gates are locked. She knocks on the gate and waits, shivering and dripping wet. Finally, a security guard opens the gate and tells her to go to the main office. She's escorted there by the guard, feeling embarrassed and anxious.

***Meanwhile***

Sam just stepped out of his house and was on his way to school. It was his first day of school so, he won't want to be late. He walked down the streets wondering what this school year will be like. He had just transferred from a public school where he had lot of friends. Sam walked gingerly cause he had ample time before lectures comense.

'I wonder what today has in store for me' he thought.

Sam is an individual that stands out with an imposing presence, commanding attention with his towering height and broad shoulders that exude confidence and strength. His fair skin glows with a radiant complexion, a perfect canvas for his striking features. The low haircut accentuates his chiseled facial structure, adding to his rugged charm.

But what truly sets Sam apart is his mesmerizing aura - a dark, mysterious energy that surrounds him like an invisible cloak. It's as if he is shrouded in an air of intrigue, making him both intimidating and irresistible at the same time.

And yet, despite his intimidating presence, Sam's features are softened by an undeniable cuteness, a certain je ne sais quoi that makes them utterly captivating. It's a paradoxical blend of deadliness and adorable charm, making him a true head-turner.

After walking for about fifteen minutes, Sam got to the large school gate where he was asked to wait in the principal office.

Sam sat calmly in the principal's office, his eyes fixed on the clock ticking away on the wall. Just as he was starting to feel a sense of tranquility, the sound of raindrops hitting the roof and windows filled the room. Sam watched as the rain came down in sheets, casting a cozy mist over the entire school.

Just then, the door burst open and a girl rushed in, shaking the rain off her jacket. Sam's eyes met hers, and he recognized Violet, a girl from his old school. They had never really talked much, but he remembered her as being quiet and reserved.

Their eyes met, and Violet's eyes sparkled with a hint of recognition, then disbelief and Sam felt a sense of familiarity, even though they had never really spoken before.

As Violet enters the office, she's shocked to see Sam sitting there! He looks up at her, and she just stares at him in disbelief. The principal breaks the awkward stares as she leads them to their classes. As the principal shows them to their class, Violet's heart sinks when she sees that Sam is in the same class as her. She can't believe her bad luck! And to make matters worse, they're assigned to sit next to each other.

Vi goes to the bathroom to get herself cleaned up and got to the classroom in time for lectures to begin.

In the middle of her Biology class, Violet couldn't take it anymore. She's tired and stressed out, and she decides to close her eyes for a few minutes. But what starts as a quick power nap soon turns into a deep sleep. She doesn't realize that she's snoring loudly, and she's even drooling on her desk. Sam glances over at her and smiles, but he doesn't say anything. The school day ends, and Sam has to wake Violet up. She's mortified, and she can't believe she fell asleep in class. She picks her bag and hastily rush's out of school in order to avoid embrassment from her classmates.

Violet noticed someone yelling out for her and when she turns around to take a peek at whom was calling her, she finds out that it was Sam. That alone was her only motivation to run off afraid that history might repeat itself.
