Chapter 9 - Chapter 9(Finale)

On the reflection of the dead computer, Mac saw his now miserable state. He now looking like the shadow wonderland bunny he was once looking for. He fell of his chair and hit the floor. His whole body in pain from transforming into a different creature. All his dkrty clothes were on the floor as well, fallen from his lossened size shift.

He tried stretching his legs but they were stuck like hind legs of rabbits or hares. He cannot stand straight so he had to place his hands on the ground as well. Moving while crawling like this in such position was incredibly slow and difficult. Therefore, he had to hop around with his lightweighted tiny body.

Although he lost most of his brain capabilities, he still had a few of his last remaining memories. He had not finished searching. The question hadn't been answered just yet. But what was he finding? He lost track. But the last thing he remembered was that he was supposed to find all over this whole damn house. Then he would do it. He didn't care about his original objective anymore. He would finished what he had started from this house. There was only one place left...the highest floor, the attic.

He hopped, he hopped and he hopped. The final milestone of his journey seemed further away than normal. The hallway looking like several mile long. The colossal furnitures towering above him like skyscrapers. These shouldn't be this massive for a hare his own size. But the feeling of his insignificance toward the vast unexplored and mysterious knowledge that the universe could offer, is making him lesser and smaller than he already was.

As he hopped longer and longer, at each of his hops was like a ticking clock with everytimes each seconds passing, more and more of his memories faded away. Soon he would be no more than a hare both physically and mentally. He hopped faster to outrun the animalistic delusion catching up to him. The staircases imposing like a mountain. But he didn't have time to whine about his size. He had a mission soon to be disappeared.

He finally got to the top of stairs. And just like in Santiago, the was only in two color akin to purple and gold. At the end of the attic was a doorway with bright light coming out. He quickly reached the doorway and passes through it. He ended up on the foggy grassfield again with the silhoutte of his uncle's house in distance. But this time, it felt more normal. This place looked more like his uncle home than the previous.

Between the fogs, he saw a humanoid figure coming toward him. The last thing he saw before all of his memories completely disappeared was that humanoid figure was taking a picture of him.
