After Monica broke the news that she had removed my womb and left, I tried to leave as well, but I couldn't move my legs. It felt as if I had become paralyzed. I stood there for over fifteen minutes, completely immobilized by the shock.
The news about my womb crippled me, both physically and emotionally.
"Are you ready? Let's go then," said Henry as he approached me. He wore a dark brown shirt with black jeans.
"Have you decided on the hospital where you want to get examined?" Henry asked.
"You're free to take me to any hospital of your choice. I don't care," I replied, my voice flat.
Honestly, I didn't care. He could take me to the Moon or the Sun for all I cared. The truth is, I was beyond caring.
I no longer felt the need to prove anything to him. He was free to side with his mother and Monica. In fact, that's exactly what I wanted him to do from now on. I would make every last one of them pay.
