Chapter 26 - The inner sect + rules

[You have received an invite to join the following faction: Saviour Sect]

[Your position upon joining: Core Disciple]

[Accept / Decline]

‚I accept'

[Congratulation, you have officially joined the Saviour Sect as a Core Disciple]

[You can join additional Factions in the future, but your current faction will be informed if you do.]

„Okay, now that all of you have accepted the invite, please split into two groups." Elder Beatrice once again called for everyone's attention.

„One group will contain the core and inner disciples and the other the normal ones. Every inner disciple can also bring an additional person with them. A core disciple can even bring 3 followers."

The crowd split into two groups, one below elder Beatrice and the other group next to the other 5 elders.

The group with the inner and core disciples was way smaller, barely containing a hundred people. And that was even with the followers the inner disciples brought with them. This meant that in total only about 50 people directly advanced to the inner sect.

„Okay, now that all people are inside their groups, the people below will follow me to the inner area of the mountain, whilst the others will stay in the houses you already saw from the outside."

Together they exited the cave at the other side of the mountain to reach the main part of the sect.

This was an area that you couldn't see from Saviour city since it was at the backside of the mountain.

In front of Kael's eyes a beautiful mountain area with a waterfall and a river that runs through a valley opened up.

In the sky you could see many cultivators flying everywhere, either on swords or without any assistance.

The mountainside was filled with many beautiful houses and the spiritual energy was dense.

The plants were arranged beautifully and looked like they came straight out of a painting. The overall view was just unbelievable.

„All of you can now find the way to your houses. They were assigned to you depending on your results and you will be guided to them by the key I will give you now."

About 50 keys flew out from elder Beatrice towards each of the inner sect disciples. Kael was the only one who passed the core disciple test. If someone brought a follower from the outer sect with them, then they would have to live in the same house.

„If you have any questions you can simply ask the system. Most functions are self-explanatory and I advice you to read the Sect rules." At this moment elder Beatrice flew off without a warning.

Kael started to search for Alex and Alexandra inside the crowd until he remembered that they stood next to him the entire time.

„Where is your house located at?" Kael asked the siblings.

The inner area of the sect was surrounded by mountains and you couldn't even see the outside. To the north, east, west and south there was one mountain each with the one they came from being the highest.

This made it seem like the inner sect area was almost shaped like a bowl.

The residence areas were on the mountain to the south, which was the one behind them, and the ones to the east and west. The one to the north mostly had training facilities, while the bottom of the valley contained things like restaurants and schools that teach alchemy or array formations.

The mountain they were on was the one for disciples whilst the other two were for elders. The higher your house was located the higher your status. The houses towards the tops had a bigger size and better spirit gathering arrays. Those were arrays that attracted spiritual energy to increase the density of it around you.

„Our house is almost at the foot of the mountain. Since we are new disciples and I also barely passed the inner sect trial my status is pretty low. Yours is probably at the top, right?"

„Yeah, I got one of the 10 houses at the top. I hope there won't be any conflict with other disciples because of that."

The upper 100 residencies were reserved for core disciples and each had a huge property. The problem was that Kael was given one of the best 10 houses which was usually reserved for only the strongest disciples.

Kael could already smell the cliché plot that was coming for him. He took one of the houses that belonged to a top disciple and he would now have to win against him in a fight since the other person thought he was unworthy.

‚Lets just hope for the best.' Kael sighed and said goodbye to the siblings. He walked up the mountain together with Karl and after a few minutes they arrived at their new house.

„Woah, this is gigantic." Before Kael stood a mansion with huge windows and its own chinese-style garden. As Kael entered his house with the help of his key, he instantly noticed the increase in spiritual energy.

He sat down on a giant leather sofa that was in his living room. The first thing he did was open the faction screen again.

[Faction 1: Saviour Sect]

[Status: Core Disciple]

[Contribution Points: 1000]

[Exchange Market]

[Library]

[Mission Board]

[Notifications/Events]

[Sect Rules]

Kael chose to first off read the Sect rules. They were pretty long though so it took him a while to go through them, but after he did a few things cleared up.

It was forbidden for disciples to fight each other without both parties agreeing to it. Killing another disciples was even more illegal and most of the time the punishment would be having your cultivation crippled.

The Contribution points that were shown on the faction screen could be used on the exchange market to buy anything you want. That could be pills, techniques or even access to training equipment like a cultivation chamber.

Next up was the library. This is the place where disciples could choose to learn cultivation and fighting techniques. You were not limited on the techniques you could learn since the system prevents you from passing them on to someone else. It was just to focus on only a few techniques.

This was perfect since Kael needed a lot of techniques that focused on different elements to create the chaos aspect of his cultivation technique.

To earn the contribution points that could be used in the exchange market you would have to fulfill the missions on the Mission Board.

These could be missions like entering the beast forest to fight a beast or search for a spiritual herb. The most common mission though was to fight on the battlefield against the alien races.

As soon as you reached the Late stage of the foundation establishment, every disciple would be forced to fight at least 1 year on the battlefield for every 5 years that pass.

During the time on the battlefield you could earn a lot of contribution points, way more than with other missions, and combat experience. This is also why most disciples and even elders chose to spend at least half of their time on the battlefield. Even with the extremely high mortality rate.

Kael was kind of excited now. One of the main reasons for joining a sect was that he finally wanted to enter the battlefield. And soon it would be time. He estimated that he would need less than 3 years to reach the late stage foundation establishment after finally creating his cultivation technique.

This was also due to his status as a core disciple. He would not only gain more resources than other disciples, but he also wouldn't be forced to take on any missions. Normal disciples had to take on at least one mission every two months. Most of them only chose easy ones but that still reduced the time they had to cultivate. Kael wouldn't suffer from the same problem.

There was also another way to earn points and rewards. That was through tournament that would be held regularly or other events. Kael chose to ignore them for the time being since he hadn't even started cultivating yet.

Kael didn't have anything else that stopped him from finally finishing his own cultivation technique, so he opened the sect library to look through their cultivation techniques.
