"There isn't anymore grotesque foliage in my sight." Cassie peaked after having ducked behind an oak to catch her breath.

The pair had been sprinting for sixty minutes before stumbling upon this tranquil clearing.

The forest's oppressive presence had vanished. And Jass took this moment of opportunity for a truthful confrontation.

She grasped Cassie's shoulder and yanked her collar, bringing them face to face. "Well? Are you going to push me to my limits, or come clean? Have you been feigning weakness all this time?"

"What are you implying?" Cassie raised her hands defensively.

Jass leaned in, her lips nearly brushing Cassie's ear.

"Oh! Well, If you believe deception is the answer to your predicament, so be it. But… remember, you will forfeit my trust entirely on yourself."

"..." It causes Cassie's expression to alternate seriously.
