Chapter 2 - NEW LIFE

I reached out to my long-lost friends, Kenji, Fumiko, and Akari, and they welcomed me with open arms. They shared their address, and Akari even offered me a place to stay. They had rented a spacious room, where they were intensively studying for their college entrance exams, scheduled for the following year.

Coincidentally, we were all in the same class. But what's more remarkable is that I had secretly devoured countless books in the Lu family's library about computer science, chip design, app development, and website creation. Strangely, I could recall every detail, every page, every concept. And then, a bizarre occurrence - a strange window materialised before my eyes. I was taken aback,

"What?! Who are you?! What are you?!"

"What?! System?! Why are you demanding I exercise?! What kind of digital wizardry is this?!" I shouted, bewildered.

I hesitantly reached out to touch the screen, but my hand passed through it like a ghost. In a freak accident, my hand continued its trajectory and inadvertently brushed against Akari's chest.

"Sorry...!" I yelped, as she swiftly slapped me. "Pervert!" she exclaimed. While her reaction was understandable, I couldn't help but feel it was unjust.

"It's not my fault!" I protested.

Akari glared at me, "You're not worthy of touching me, especially not my private areas. I'll let it slide this time, but consider it a warning – it was just an accident, this time."

Akari vanished into her room, and I shook my head, 'Forget it, it was just an accident.'

But my attention was quickly consumed by the persistent system. 'System!! System!!' I exclaimed, exasperated.

"Why are you badgering me to do these exercises?! Can't you give me some other tasks?! I'm not exactly thrilled about virtual burpees and digital sprints. The system remained silent, its window still hovering expectantly.

I crossed my arms, "Fine, what's the point of these exercises?! Are you trying to turn me into some kind of digital athlete?!"

HOST'S BODY IS TOO WEAK THAT SYSTEM CANNOT CURE MINOR INJURY OF HOST. HOST MUST DO THESE EXERCISES TO BECOME MORE STRONG.

"Ohh!! I'm not that weak!" I declared, gritting my teeth. I steeled myself and dived into the exercises, determined to overcome the system's challenges.

Now, surrounded by the comfort and support of my friends' rented house, I shared my tale of woe with them. Their faces darkened with anger as I recounted the Lu family's cruelty. "The Lu family is going to pay for what they've done to you!" Kenji, Fumiko, and Akari exclaimed in unison, their voices trembling with indignation. Together, we vowed to bring the Lu family to justice, and I knew I wasn't alone in this fight.

With a sense of accomplishment, I finished the exercises and was rewarded with 500Ω points by the system. I was thrilled to see the conversion rate: {500Ω = $50,000}! Elated, I clicked the 'withdraw' button, and my eyes widened as I checked my bank account.

To my surprise, I found that the system had not only transferred the $50,000 but also added an extra $1,200, making my total balance $51,200! I couldn't believe my luck. What was the system's motive behind this generous bonus?

With my newfound wealth, I borrowed Kenji's laptop and created an account on a trading platform. I took a deep breath and invested my entire $51,200 in cryptocurrencies - Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others.

Drawing from my knowledge of past events, I was confident that Bitcoin would dominate the market between 2015 and 2020. I remembered the meteoric rise of Bitcoin during that period and was convinced that this was the right move.

With my investment made, I felt a sense of excitement and trepidation, hoping that my past-life insights would prove correct.
