Samantha turned to the control room doors and forced them open.
Inside, Marcus and Callum were standing over a pile of unconscious enforcers, both breathing heavily. Marcus's knuckles were bloodied, his golden eyes glowing. Callum's claws were still extended, his chest rising and falling in ragged breaths. She had never seen Callum partially shift into his dragon form until now.
Samantha exhaled in relief. "You two look like hell."
Marcus smirked. "You should see the other guys."
Callum stepped closer, his eyes scanning her. "You okay?"
Samantha nodded. "We don't have time for a reunion. More are coming."
Marcus wiped a streak of blood from his jaw. "Then we take them out."
Samantha met his gaze, her blood still thrumming with power. "Together."
Callum cracked his knuckles. "Let's finish this."
The ship trembled again, another explosion shaking the walls. The Council wasn't going to stop. But neither were they.
