Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Reincarnation parts 1/3

That night, the Crowd village was sleeping soundly under the bright full moon. At the edge of a quiet forest, Arnold Rolenzo felt a strange vibration in his chest, like a call that could not be ignored. He stepped out of his humble cottage in the TryTon Empire, where he had lived since his reincarnation as an orphan named Kai Kurenai.

As his footsteps broke the silence of the night, a thunderous sound tore through the air. In the distance, the headlights of a large truck cut through the darkness, approaching quickly. Suddenly, Kai's heart beat fast. On the side of a deserted road, a small child is frozen in fear, caught in the path of a truck approaching at terrifying speed.

Without hesitation, Kai jumped forward. Power that he had never noticed before melted with his movements. In an instant, he reached the child, grabbed his tiny body and moved him away from the path of death. The air felt open, but only for a moment. A loud bang filled the silence, and Kai's world changed.

"Kai, who are you?" the little boy asked, his eyes looking at Kai with a mixture of amazement and fear.

Kai looked at the child, his lips trembling for a moment before he answered softly, "My name is Kai. I will protect you."

The child held Kai's arm tightly, shaking in the sudden protective embrace. Meanwhile, a large truck passed by with a terrifying roar, missing them by only a few centimeters. Kai breathed a sigh of relief, rubbing the top of the child's head gently before lifting him up.

"We have to get out of here," Kai whispered, his eyes scanning around for a safe place. In the distance, the light from the village began to fade, replaced by the darkness of the forest that stretched out before them.

The boy nodded, still hugging Kai tightly. They rushed into the forest, Kai's steps were steady even though his heart was still burdened by the questions that haunted him. How could he have such strength? Why did he suddenly feel so connected to this world, like an unspoken deja vu?...
