The abyss swallowed them whole.
Elara's body was weightless, suspended in darkness, with no sense of direction or form. She felt the cold embrace of the void clinging to her, its oppressive silence deafening. The world above was a distant memory, a fading echo of the light that had once surrounded them. She tried to move, to reach for something, anything to ground herself, but it was as if the very air had turned to liquid, thick and suffocating.
A sudden pull tore at her chest, and she was yanked downward—faster, deeper, spiraling into an unseen vortex. Her stomach churned as her senses were assaulted by an overwhelming pressure, as though the weight of an entire world was bearing down on her. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced before. There was no ground to land on, no air to breathe. Only the sensation of falling endlessly through the dark, pulled by a force she could not comprehend.
