One day the whole class was silent, everyone focused on copying what the teacher was writing on the blackboard.
The teacher was strict and everyone was afraid of being scolded. She would throw erasers and chalk at anyone she heard making noise.
Meanwhile a student sitting in the back of the classroom was sound asleep. The teacher didn't notice because she was facing the board, busy writing.
Suddenly, the student sitting at the back started screaming. The teacher turned around furious.
And she was shock to see a student, who had been sleeping, covered in blood. Blood was dripping from his mouth, and there was a hole on his stomach.
Blood splattered on the nearby students, who were terrified and couldn't stop screaming.
Even the teacher was shaking in fear, her eyes widen, unable to speak. The students run out of the classroom, terrified and screaming.
Classes were suspended that day. Police arrived to investigate. Yana, the student sitting next to the deceased, was in shock but tried to stay strong to explain what happened.
According to Yana, the class was quite, everyone writing, when suddenly Fern, who had been sleeping, had a large would in his stomach, causing blood to splatter on his classmates.
She couldn't understand why it happened since no one had harm Fern. The other classmates confirmed that Fern just suddenly became bloody and died.
The students were filled with fear and horror. Many didn't attend school for weeks, scared that what happened to Fern might happen to them.
Meanwhile, Yana had an Idea. She loved horror movies and thought she had seen something similar in a movie were victims were killed in their dreams. She believed that's what happened to Fern.
One day while eating in the cafeteria with her classmates, Yana shared her theory about Fern's death.
"Like in the movie Nightmare? You mean Freddy Krueger." Lexa asked Yana, Shivering.
"I don't know if it's Freddy Krueger, but I can't think of any other reasons for Fern's death except that someone killed him in his dream." Yana said, Scared.
She felt her heart pounding with fear, thinking that more killings might follow, like in the horror movie.
"If your theory is correct, it means Fern's murder won't be the last." Aldrin said seriously.
"Oh come on, stop scaring us like that. Are you saying someone else will die next? That's terrifying. Let's not talk about it." Their classmate Henry said, trembling.
"Henry, they're not trying to scare us. They're just discussing the possibility. It's good you shared your Idea, Yana, so we can find a way to solve this if it's true." William said, bravely.
"Whatever, you're just scaring yourselves. I'm going back to the room. I've lost my appetite." Sandra said, annoyed and, left.
After class Yana went home. Afraid she might be killed in her dream too, she set her phone to alarm every ten minutes.
A week passed and everything seemed fine. There were no incidents like Fern's death, and the students slowly moved on, the rumors dying down.
"Looks like your theory was wrong." Lexa said as she and Yana walked on the oval field.
"Yeah, it seems I was wrong, I'm relieved it was just a mistake. You know, I set my phone alarm every 10 minutes because I was so scared." Yana shared.
"Haha, really? It was traumatizing, but don't worry. It won't happen again." Lexa said with a smile, and Yana agreed.
The next day, Yana woke up happy. She had a good sleep, feeling relieved. She stopped setting her alarm every ten minutes and slept soundly.
She got ready for school and went down to the kitchen, where her parents and younger brother, Samuel, were already having breakfast. She joined them.
"There was a terrifying news this morning." Yana's mother said, rubbing her arms as goosebumps rose from fear. Yana was surprised because she didn't know what her mother was talking about.
"W-why, Mom? What news?" Yana asked, nervous.
"This morning while your Mom and I were at the market, we heard that a highschool student died mysteriously. The family found him in the bed, covered in blood." Yana's father explained, as her mother was still too shaken.
Yana felt a chill at her father's story, thinking it was similar to what happened to Fern. She couldn't speak, overcome by fear and shock.
"Maybe it was suicide." Samuel, Yana's younger brother suggested.
"That's possible." Yana's mother agreed.
Throughout the day at school, Yana couldn't shake her fear. The mysterious death was all anyone talked about.
When Yana arrived at her classroom, she found Lexa crying. Yana asked why.
That's when she learned that the highschool student who died mysteriously in his sleep was their classmate, Henry.
Lexa was crying uncontrollably, and their classmates were scared. Yana felt a surge of fear, shock and horror.
Her eyes widened, her throat dried up, and her whole body trembled with fear, realizing her theory might be coming true.
