"Now that we are done eating, it's time to discuss other more important matters."
Luck perked up giving full attention to what Arlder was about to say. He had never heard anything about an allowance before and now he did, he couldn't get it off his mind.
How much would they pay? How frequently would the pay be? He thought as he waited for Arlder to speak.
"Your dressing."
All the anticipation Luck had built up died that moment, he looked at Arlder slightly confused.
"Huh? What about my allowance?!"
"Keep your voice down!" The grumpy waiter yelled from behind the counter, his voice even louder than Luck's.
"We'll talk about that later, your clothes are the more important matter right now," Arlder said.
"What is wrong with my clothes?" Luck asked looking down at what he was wearing.
'I mean I'm in a pretty decent T-shirt coupled with black trousers.' He thought to himself.
"You've been switching between two clothes for the past one week now." Arlder said.
"And?"
"That isn't exactly normal," Layla finally spoke.
"Well maybe if I had an allowance I would have got some new clothes by now."
"No you won't," Arlder said catching on to his lie.
"There are more important things. Like food!" Luck argued.
"And that is why the 3 of us will be going shopping." Arlder got up from his seat signaling the waiter to come for payment.
"We?" Layla asked.
"Yes, all three of us."

"So what kind of clothes do you like?" Arlder asked as soon as they stepped into the store.
"Comfy clothes."
"Let's get moving." Arlder said, leading them through different sections glancing at each segment as he walked by.
The attendants all seemed to know him, apparently he was a regular in this boutique which was expected considering how much effort he put into what he wore.
"Good morning Mr Arlder." A young woman walked up to him with a bright smile on her face. "What can I get you today?"
"Good morning Alicia," Arlder replied with a smile of his own causing her to blush.
"I'm not here for myself today, these two ducklings need new clothes, this one," he said pointing to Luck who had a bored expression on his face. "More than the other."
"Right this way then." She instructed as she led them to an aisle filled with numerous assortments of shirts and jeans. "Please take your time."
From the way she treated a Arlder Luck could tell that he was probably a vip customer of theirs, either that or she just had a bad crush on him.
Arlder went straight into action digging into the clothes, moving some aside and tossing others into a pile while Luck walked to the other rails shuffling through them to see if there was anything he would like.
Only Layla stood idle watching them both pick out clothes. Personally she didn't really care too much about what she wore, as long as the clothes were clean and not 'bad looking', she was okay.
But…watching them go through the clothes as well as being surrounded by thousands of clothes was beginning to make her actually consider shopping as well.
Arlder turned around from the clothes he was going through momentarily to look at her.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Nothing."
"You can't always wear black you know."
"Black is perfectly fine."
'Plus it helps me blend into the darkness more easily,' she thought.
"Yeah, but it's such a dull colour, pick something or rather pick as many things as you like or I'll pick something out for you."
Arlder was unpredictable and the thought of him picking out something out for her was all the motivation she needed to sink her hands into the closest stack of clothes.
A few minutes later a satisfied sigh escaped his lips and a pile of clothes were in his hands. As soon as they heard the sigh 3 attendants led by Alicia came forward with bags in their hands to relieve him of his burden.
They went to work packaging everything they had all picked out.
After they were done Arlder had 15 bags next to him, Luck had 5 and Layla had two.
"Now it's time to change."
"What?" Luck asked surprised as he looked down to the clothes he had.
Layla said nothing but she shared the same sentiment, she would let Luck do all the talking and hopefully get out of changing.
"I don't really like changing in publ-." Before he could finish his sentence Arlder grabbed on to both of their hands as he pulled them towards the dressing room.
"Come on, come on, we have to make sure it fits!" He said but to Layla he just wanted to see them try on the clothes for his own entertainment.
•••
'I don't like where this is going!' Luck thought to himself as Arlder revealed that out of the 15 bags he was with 10 of them were for Luck and Layla. Specifically 7 of them were for him and 3 were for her.
'He can't possibly make us test all of them right?' He thought.
But man was he wrong.
He went first, Layla and Arlder sitting on the chair the attendants had provided, after dropping the chairs, they brought an extra pair for themselves and they waited for Luck to change.
The whole thing was basically turning into a fashion show and Luck was the runway star!
"Come on, get dressed," Layla said, she had a coy smile on her face as she snacked on popcorn that Arlder had pulled out of nowhere.
Apparently she was beginning to enjoy their outing far more than Luck was.
'She must be forgetting that she'll be going next!'
The dressing room was bare save for a railing to keep your original clothes when changing and a man sized mirror that stood at the side of the room.
'Well, let's get this over with.'
He started with the first bag pulling out a dark blue ripped jeans and a charcoal black shirt with white highlights at the edges.
"Yup we are definitely taking this one." Arlder said as he examined the clothes. "What do you think?" He asked Layla who was paying attention to each detail on his clothing.
"Hmm not bad not bad. Be a darling and do a twirl for us," She said. Earning some grunts of approval from the attendants behind her.
"No chance in hell!" Luck retorted. Layla almost choked on her own laughter when she saw his reaction.
'This is a nice change of pace.' Luck thought, feeling a little accomplished as he watched the always cold girl bubble with laughter even though it was at his expense.
